Resiliant

Shattered heart, worn down soul,

Weary mind and aching bones.

Will this madness ever end?

Two paths lay ahead:

An often trodden path

A beat down road of giving up.

Another, seldom seen, bathed in dark

Twilight masking the end.

Choices to be made,

Each leg in each path.

Listen to the honeyed evil or the bitter angel?

Insanity grapples the battered mind

Hands shaking, vision blurring,

Fingers pick the broken pieces of heart,

Sharper than icicles, fragile as trust,

But stronger than iron.

Resilience may be the word it knows

When it is fixed, not by others but by itself.

Piece by piece, glue it back

Crack lines not hidden,

But worn proudly in every colour of rainbow.

Mind whispers it's choice,

And every part of the soul resonates with it.

Legs turn towards the path,

The path that had rarely seen a foot.

The other road fades tk nothingness

As the twilight bows.

Moving ahead, walking through

The rugged path all along and backing at the final stages

Was something I would never teach myself.

Behind the dusk was an awaiting dawn,

Smiling in gold and radiance.
