Angel's POV
Santa Carla. Most people would say it's a shitty place. But it has it's pros and cons. Pros; living by the beach, the boardwalk, really good places to eat. Cons; the biker gangs that surround the boardwalk every night, the weirdos, and the fact that Santa Carla is the murder capital of the world. I moved here when I was 10. I'm 17 now and the place doesn't bother me. I usually go to the club on the boardwalk. Tons of guys and girls go there every night. But some of the same people come there. My friend Izzy, goes to the club with me but doesn't dance much. She's pretty shy. My other friend Mary, is a social butterfly like me. But we've never gone clubbing together. Most of the time I sit at home reading comics. My parents are rich, which means I get whatever, whenever. I have a car but barely drive it. Business trips; more like retreats for my parents. They're never home, and I'm always alone. It's very lonely. Which is why I go to the comic book shop almost every night. So you can say that I live in a huge house, by myself. That's what I tell people. Tonight I made my normal route to the comic book shop. I walked in and picked out the newest Wonder Woman comic. As I paid for the comic Alan said "it's on us." "Wow. Thanks." I replied. A boy walked in, he wasn't from here. His outfit said it all. Edgar eyed the boy who walked in and Alan did the same. I held my comic in my hand and made eye contact with the boy. "Good luck." I said to him. "Huh?" He said as I walked away. I gave him a thumbs up and walked on the boardwalk. The sound of motorbikes filled my ears. I turned to look at the four boys speeding down the boardwalk. I rolled my eyes and huffed. I can't stand them. "Hey." Izzy said. I turned around and said "what's up?" "I-I thought you weren't coming out tonight." She said. I shrugged and said "I needed a new comic. That's all." Izzy nodded and didn't say anything. "A-are you heading home?" She said. "Yeah. I'm staying in tonight." I replied. Izzy said "want me to stay the night?" I nodded and she said "ok. Let's go." We began to make the walk back to my house. I opened the door to the large house that was home to me. Izzy sighed and said "I can't get over how big your house is." I just nodded in response, walking up the stairs. After a few hours of hanging out, Izzy fell asleep on the floor. My life was seemingly normal. Until I fell for a vampire.
