Back story: Rei's birth mother was a huntress, who hunted vampires and demons. The huntress birthed two twin boys Rei Mishima, and yuu Mishima. When times became difficult raising two boys, and trying to keep them hidden from the danger that followed being a huntress, she did what she saw best, dropped the boys off at the orphanage. There they lived for a comfortable few months before the vampire clan their mother had hunted found out she had twin boys. As revenge they attempted to kid nap the boys, however Rei escaped. Years and many orphanages later Rei was finally adopted and raised by a Japanese couple. While his brother was brain washed and used as a blood bag for the vampires. His brother became more and more insane with each lie he was made to believe, sooner or later coming to believe the lie of his brother abandoning him. This for revenge he committed the murder of Rei's adoptive parents. After loosing everything Rei knew as family he gave up Rei Mishima and became Rei takashi so completely his past behind him to create a new life where he made manga. He also took on the pin name of Ren ryuzaki since he didn't want his real named dirtied with the type of manga he made.
