"MAINEY CAFÉ' MAIN AAPKI AUR BHAI KI BAATEIN SUN LI THI SONAKSHI" she said as Sonakshi looked shocked. For a moment she thought she did not hear it right but Neha's next words made it clear that it was not the case.

"Main wahan kal apney dost se milney gayi thi, wahin mainey aap logon ko dekha, main aap logon se milney aa hi rahi thi lekin phir aap log ki baatein sun key mujhey ye laga ki shaya mera aap logon se milna theek nahi hoga" she confessed as Sonakshi kept quiet, numerous questions were running through her mind, why did Neha come to meet her? Was she unhappy with her relationship with Dev? Was she going to tell Auntyji about it?

On the other hand, Neha could exactly gauge what was going through Sonakshi's mind "Ghabraiye matt Sonakshi, Main maa se iss baarey main kuch nahi kahoongi" she said leaving Sonakshi surprised.

"Main itni bhi buri nahi hoon jitna log mujhey samajhtey hai" she said with a one-sided smile as Sonakshi quickly replied "Nahi Neha, tum mujhey galat samajh rahi ho" as Neha smiled and moved towards the balcony in Sonakshi's room where a few flower-pots were kept. She touched a flower on one of the plant and inhaled its scent while Sonakshi kept looking at her silently.

"Mujhey pata hai Sonakshi aapko yahi lag raha hai naa ki main yahan kyun aayi hoon?" she said as Sonakshi nodded slightly trying not to make it look rude.

"Main aap sey bass itna kehna chahti hoon ki main aapkey aur bhai ke saath hoon. Aur jab bhi aapko koi help ki zaroorat ho toh aap mujhey bina kisi jhijhak ke pooch sakti hai" she said with a smile while Sonakshi smiled as well overwhelmed that Neha was with them.

"Main bass aapsey ye request karney aayi hoon ki bhaley hi kitni bhi mushkilein aaye aap please bhai ka saath matt chodiyega" she said while Sonakshi quickly replied "Kabhi nahi" and hugged Neha whilst she reciprocated to it.

"Bhai ne zindagi main pehli baar kuch apney liye chaha hai Sonakshi aur wo ye Khushi deserve kartey hain" she said while Sonakshi replied "Tum Dev se bohot pyar karti ho naa Neha" as soon as she said that tears glistened Neha's eyes she turned away from Sonakshi to hide her tears but Sonakshi knew it already, she kept her hand on Neha's shoulder.

"Toh phir tumney usey kabhi bataya kyun nahi" said Sonakshi as Neha turned towards her "Mainey zindagi bhar apney dukhon ke liye Maa aur bhai ko dosh diya hai Sonakshi, lekin kahin na kahin mujhey ye pata tha ki ismey unmey se kisi ki galti nahi hai, wo toh haalat hi aisey they ki hum sab ko iss sab se guzarana padha" said Neha as she cried remembering her childhood and past while Sonakshi wiped her tears.

"Main jaanti hoon ki bhai meri khushi ke liye kuch bhi kar saktey hai jaisey wo humesha kartey hai toh ek baar main unkey liye kuch karna chahti hoon, shayad iss sey mera wo kya kehtey hai...Haan...mera guilt thoda kam ho jaaye" she said as Sonakshi just kept her hand on her shoulders.

"Aur ek baat Sonakshi, Aap ye matt samajhna ki Maa ko aapsey koi problem hai. Bhai ki zindagi main jo bhi ladki aayegi unhey uss sey problem hogi" she said leaving Sonakshi surprised.

"Matlab?" asked Sonakshi but before Neha could reply Nikki and Riya barged into the room.

"Neha Di, Dekhiye Asha aunty ne kitni sundar Durga maa ki moorti di hai" said Nikki as Neha replied "Arey ye toh bohot sundar hai" just as Saurabh came in asking them to join for lunch, telling Sonakshi that they will talk later everyone had the hearty lunch at Bose house filled with laughter and fun moments.

As the sisters were exiting after having their food, Riya and Nikki hugged Sonakshi and said "Hum aapki intezaar karenge Bhabhi aur haan hum aapkey saath hai" as it dawned to Sonakshi that even they knew about her and Dev's step, she just tightened her hug overwhelmed at the fact that Dev's sisters were with them in this battle as tears of joy glistened her eyes. Asha made the sisters promise that they will visit them more often while Neha told Sonakshi that they will talk later after which the trio left for their respective works.

Sonakshi was beaming with joy and could not wait to share the news with Dev, she dialed his number but could not reach him as he was busy in meetings, after trying a few times she messaged him to call her back and resumed her work waiting for Dev's call.

It was an hour since Dev had arrived from the office in the evening, but from the moment he arrived he had enclosed himself in his room as he was busy with making preparations for the client meeting which was scheduled the next day, he was in a foul mood especially after the meeting with his team this evening, he was unhappy with the progress they made with respect to a deal they were working on, it was a big opportunity for his company to leave the competition behind and at the same time it was an opportunity to answer his detractors who had questioned his ability after the Gujral fiasco which had dented his reputation a bit, he had asked Kichu to refrain anyone from disturbing him. Just then he heard his phone ring, but he ignored it as it buzzed the second time, without seeing the caller he picked up the phone.

"Hello, Kaun hai jo disturb kar raha hai?" he spoke loudly

"Kya hua Dev, tum chila kyun rahey ho?" replied the caller who was none other than Sonakshi.

"Sonakshi??" he asked in a surprised tone as Sonakshi replied "Haan main, itney bhii kya busy ho ki subah se ek call bhi nahi kiya aur jab mainey call kiya toh tumney uthaya bhi nahi aur naa hi mere messages ka reply diya. Abhi ek din bhi nahi hua Dev aur tum mujhey ignore kar rahey ho?" she said in mock anger, but little did she know what effect it was having on him.

"Sonakshi, agar mainey tumhara call nahi uthaya ya phir tumharey messages ka reply nahi diya iska matlab ye nahi ki main tumhey ignore kar raha hoon. Main busy tha poorey din aur abhi bhi kaam kar raha tha. Kya tum mere baarey main itna hi jaanti ho ki tumhey laga ki main tumhey ignore kar raha hoon" he said angrily shocking Sonakshi who was left tongue-tied.

"Dev, Main toh bass..." she said but was interrupted "Kya kehna hai Sonakshi tumhey, ek toh main yahan ek important deal ko leke stressed hoon aur tum ho ki aisi baatein kar rahi ho" he said crossly as tears glistened Sonakshi's eyes, it was first time ever since they had gotten into the relationship that he had spoken to harshly with her, but the next moment anger took over her. She never meant what she said but he was giving her a chance to express herself.

"You know what Mr. Dixit, you can jolly well do your work. I will not disturb you again nor call you" she said as she cut the call and slumped down on her bed crying, already she was sad that they had not talked through the day and now when they talked he shouted on her, she kept crying as after some time sleep took over her.

On the other hand, as soon as Sonakshi cut the call, it dawned to Dev what he had done. He had taken out the anger due to his work on Sonakshi as he mentally slapped himself. He dialed her number, but she did not pick up the call, he tried numerous times but there was no response from her as he felt sad. He wanted to go right away to her house but then he had work to do, deciding to deal with the matter the next day he got back to his work.

While downstairs in Ishwari Niwas, Ishwari and Radharani had just arrived from a function which was held in the neighborhood when she saw Kichu coming out of the kitchen with a tray in his hand while Nikki was sprawled on the sofa gazing into her phone.

"Arey Kichu, Ye kiskey liye le jaa raha hai, Dev office se aa gaya kya?" asked Ishwari but before he could reply Nikki butted it.

"Maa, Bhaiya toh ek ghantey pehley hi aa chukey hai aur jab se aaye hai kamrey main hi hai. Aur kaha hai ki koi unhey disturb na karey" she said as Kichu nodded in agreement surprising Ishwari

"Aur tab se ye unka Paanchva cup coffee hai, hai naa Kichu bhaiya" she added while Kichu nodded his head again.

"Kya, Paanch cup!!! Arey aisey toh uski tabiyat kharab ho jayegi. Aur ye Nutrition kahan usney bhi tujhey nahi roka" said Ishwari looking here and there for Sonakshi while Nikki, Kichu and Radharani looked surprised.

"Maa, Kya ho gaya hai aapko. Sona Di ne toh ye naukri chodd di hai naa, bhool gayi aap" said Nikki as it was then Ishwari realized that Sonakshi did not work at Ishwari Niwas anymore, a faint pain grew in her heart. The girl had very much become a part of their family, in fact she had become her friend but then it changed, after her relationship with Dev was out in the open.

"Arey Jiji, wo Doctorni nahi hai toh kya hua. Arey humney apney bachey ka khayal pehley rakha nahi hai kya" said Radharani trying to gain some brownie points from Ishwari just as Dev came out of his room shouting at Kichu, angry that his coffee was not yet served but the moment he saw Ishwari he suppressed his anger, giving her a tight-lipped smile he went back to his room as Kichu scurried with the coffee.

But Ishwari had seen what no one else could, along with the stress on his face there was a sadness in his eyes, but why was it? Was it because Sonakshi was not there or was It something else? Did Sonakshi willingly leave her job, why had her relationship with Sonakshi changed? Numerous questions were going on in her mind when Radharani spoke.

"Dekha Jiji, Dev kaisey chilla raha tha. Aaj kal Dev kaafi gussa karney laga hai jiji, aur ye sab uss doctorni ki wajah se. Accha hua wo chali gayi, ab aap Dev ke saath zyada se zyada waqt bita sakti hai, usey pehley jaisa bana sakti hai jab wo aapki koi baat nahi talta tha. Mauka aacha hai Jiji, issey apney haath se jaaney matt dijiye" she spoke viciously, her words hit the right spot as Ishwari's insecurities returned listening to her, asking Mamiji to take rest she left for her room calling it a night.

The next morning Ishwari was in the Puja room doing her morning prayers when she heard her phone buzz, she ignored it the first time but it buzzed again as she looked at the screen to see who was calling but the moment she saw the caller she was left surprised for it displayed "Nutrition", for a moment she did not know what to do but then Mami's words came flooding back into her mind, she cut the call as it buzzed once again for the third time, getting frustrated she cut the call and switched off her phone.

Sonakshi sighed sadly, disappointed that Ishwari did not pick up her call, she expected that if not as her prospective daughter-in-law but at least considering that she was her doctor for the past 4 months she would talk to her but clearly that did not happen, she was worried about Ishwari's health and thus had called her to enquire about it. She dialed Nikki's and Riya's number but could not get through to them as well, as a final resort she dialed Dev's number, though she was dying to speak to him but given how he had talked to her rudely the last night she did not want to but then maybe she was a bit harsh on him especially knowing that after the Gujral fiasco he was stressed but that did not justify the way he talked to her last night. But right now, she had no other way to know about Ishwari's health so she dialed his number waiting with bated breath while Dev's phone buzzed.

Dev was having his breakfast when his phone buzzed, he had left it on the table near to the sofa. Ishwari who was just passing by with the Aarti Thali in her hand heard Dev's phone buzz, she looked at it and as soon as she looked at the caller once again she got frustrated. At first, she thought of not informing Dev but then thinking Dev would get angry she said.

"Dev, Sonakshi ka phone hai" she said just as Dev approached her, he bent down to take her blessings as Ishwari blessed him and left as Dev smiled sadly, he picked up his phone.

"Tumney toh kaha tha ki tum call nahi karogi" said Dev as he smiled internally picking up the call.

"Nahi karti, lekin mujhey Auntyji ke tabiyat ke baarey main jaan na tha" she said, as soon as they had heard each other's voice all their anger dissipated.

"Toh phir unkey phone pe call kar leti" he said, a surprised smile tugging his face.

"Kiya thaaa, Magar unhoney phone nahi uthaya" she said flatly as Dev's heart pricked, but he was happy that Sonakshi cared so much about his mother though officially she was not her doctor now.

"Woh Theek hai" said Dev as Sonakshi smiled and replied "Good" while Dev smiled as well, he then asked the question which was gnawing his heart ever since he had asked her to quit the job at Ishwari Niwas.

"Tum Maa se naaraz ho?" he asked as Sonakshi smiled sadly, she knew she was not the only one suffering this distance from him, even he was suffering as well but she did not want to show her sadness as she knew it will weaken him.

"Agar naaraz hoti toh unkey diet main karele ka juice include karti, mausambi ka nahi" she said smiling as Dev smiled as well.

"Kya kar rahi ho?" he asked in a loving tone as Sonakshi blushed biting her lips, his voice was enough to erupt unknown feelings in her which no one else could.

"Bass, karele ka juice pee rahi hoon" she said as both smiled looking towards the sky trying to feel each other's presence as in the background it played.

"Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aisey Bhi, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aisey Bhiii......"
