"BHAI...AAP YAHAN??" said Neha surprised to see her brother at her home, it was the first time Dev had visited her after she along with Ranveer had shifted to a different home away from Ranveer's family.

"Kyun? Main apney behen ke ghar nahi aa sakta kya?" he said with a naughty smirk on his face as Neha was left surprised, her brother was joking and that too with her just as Dev said "Ab kya aisey hi bahar khadey rakhegi mujhey?" he asked in mocking tone as Neha mentally slapped herself.

"Aaiye naa Bhai" she said as she escorted him inside the house, Dev looked around the house. On one side he could see the rack which was adorned with Ranveer's trophies and certificates while on the wall opposite to it had all the photos of their family members, surprisingly he found one photo which was his and Sonakshi's, the photo of them where they were posing the Titanic pose which was taken when they were playing dumb charades as a smile crept upon his face.

"Baithiye naa Bhai" she said as Dev settled on the chair kept in the room while Neha went to the kitchen to fetch a glass of water while Dev looked around the house, his sister had decorated their little home beautifully, he could get the homely feel here and was happy that Neha and Ranveer had created their small little world, he hoped nothing destroys their happiness.

"Pani" said Neha handing over the glass of water to him, after finishing the glass of water he asked "Aur Neha, Kaisi hai tu? Ranveer kaisa hai?" he asked as Neha replied "Ranveer acchey hai Bhai. Bass abhi kuch der main aatey hi hongey" she replied as Dev nodded in agreement.

"Ghar aacha sajaya hai tuney" he said as Neha replied, "Thank you" while Dev got up and went towards the photos once again, he looked at his photo with Sonakshi, he kept looking at the photo while Neha stood quietly, after a few moments he asked "Ye photo tuney yahan kyun lagayi Neha?" he asked as he turned towards her.

Neha replied in an instant "Kyun main apney Bhai aur Bhabhi ka Photo laga nahi sakti kya?" she asked teasingly as Dev smiled as he asked the question which was in heart ever since he came to know from Sonakshi that the sisters had visited her.

"TU SONAKSHI SE MILNEY GAYI THI?" he asked as Neha looked at him, they both knew the answer to it yet wanted to hear it from the other. There was only one thought going on in both of their minds IT WAS TIME TO START BUILDING THE BURNT BRIDGE.

Sonakshi was sitting near the window of her room fiddling with the phone, looking at the screen of it for the past 15mins. She had returned from the hospital after meeting Dr. Sinha who was more than happy to welcome her back to work at the hospital and asked her to start the very next day. But right now something else was worrying her and it was about what Vicky, how does she reveal about Vicky to Dev. What would be his reaction? Would he believe her? What could they do about it as it involved a family member? Various questions were running in her mind as she could not come to a decision, it was a matter which needed to be handled very carefully.

"Coffee?" Sonakshi was brought out of her thoughts by the voice of Asha who had come with a couple of coffee into her room.

"Huh" said Sonakshi coming out of her thoughts as she continued "Thank you Maa" she said as she kept her phone aside on the table and got hold of one of the coffee mugs from Asha as she settled down on the chair near Sonakshi.

"Aur Sona Teri meeting kaisi thi Dr.Sinha ke saath?" asked Asha as Sonakshi replied "Acchi thi Maa, in fact wo toh mujhey kal se join karney bol rahey they lekin mainey kaha ki main Monday se join karungi" she said as Asha smiled nodding her head.

"Chal aacha hai join karney se pehley kuch din rest kar sakti hai tu. Warna humesha kaam main hi lagi rehti hai, yahan tak ki accident ke baad bhi zyada rest nahi kiya tuney" she said in a concerned tone as Sonakshi smiled seeing her mother's worry, it was the same with every mother. The concern and safety of their child was paramount for them.

"Hmm..." said Sonakshi as Asha looked closely at her daughter, the look on her face clearly suggested that her daughter was worried about something.

As Sonakshi sipped her coffee Asha asked "Ab bata baat kya hai?" as Sonakshi looked at her surprised wondering what her mother was alluding to as she said "Matlab?" a questioning look on her face as Asha replied.

"Matlab ye ki mujhey ye bata ki kaunsi baat hai jiski wajah se tu pareshan hai" she said as Sonakshi was left astonished, how did her mother every time know about her worries, was in an innate quality of mothers, she wondered.

"Magar aapko kaisey pata?" she asked, surprise clearly visible in her voice as Asha replied "Hmm...Matlab koi baat hai jo tujhey pareshan kar rahi hai" she said and continued "Jab main coffee leke aayi thi tab bhi tu phone ke taraf dekh rahi thi aur ab bhi tere chehrey pe pareshani saaf jhalak rahi hai. Ab bata baat kya hai" she asked as Sonakshi sighed, there was no point stretching the matter as her mother would not let her go without revealing the matter and also if she talked to her mother maybe she could advise her on how to handle the situation.

"Wo...Wo..Maa.." she fumbled unable to tell about it "Sona, tu abb mujhey dara rahi hai. Saaf saaf bata ki baat kya hai beta" said Asha as Sonakshi gathered herself. She then went on to tell about what Elena had told her this morning along with all the instances when Vicky had misbehaved with her as it shocked the daylights out of Asha.

"Sona, itna kuch ho gaya aur tum dono ne ek baar bhi humey ye baat batani zaroori nahi samjhi" said Asha as Sonakshi finished, anger and irritation were clearly visible in her tone.

"Maa, Elena ne mujhey bhi aaj subah hi ye baat batayi" she said trying to calm her mother as Asha replied "Theek hai Elena ne aaj hi tujhey ye baat batayi lekin jab Vicky ne tere saath badtameezi ki uss waqt tuney humey ye baat kyun nahi batayi" she asked as Sonakshi hung her head down guiltily.

"Kya Dev ko ye baat pata hai?" she asked as Sonakshi nodded her head in a No as Asha was left surprised, she wondered why her daughter had not said anything about this to anyone.

"Kyun Sona, kyun nahi bataya tuney?" she asked as Sonakshi replied "Maa, main Dev ko pareshan nahi karna chahti thi, aur phir Vicky uska bhai hai main nahi chahti thi ki unkey beech koi problem ho aur phir kya pata Maa ki Dev meri baat pe vishwas karega bhi ya nahi" she said trying to justify herself as Asha slapped her head in annoyance, clearly irritated by the weird logic her daughter was giving.

"Sona, mujhey ek baat bata, jab Dev ko pata chalega ki tuney uss sey ye baatein chupayi hai toh kya usey iss baat ki Khushi hogi ki tuney ye sab iss liye kiya taaki uskey aur Vicky ke beech main koi problem na ho ya phir usey iss baat ka dukh hoga ki uskey hotey huey bhi tu usey itna trust nahi kar paayi ki tuney uss sey ye baatein share nahi ki" she asked as Sonakshi contemplated on her mother's words, she did make sense. Maybe she did make a mistake by hiding about Vicky's misbehavior with her from Dev. Maybe they could have handled it together earlier itself and it would not have come down to this.

"Dekh Sona, Abb bhi der nahi hui hai. Dev se baat kar" she said as Sonakshi nodded in agreement while Asha continued "Dekh Sona, life main kai baar aisi situations aayengi jahan tum apney aap ko apney parivaar waloon ke khilaf paogi, uss waqt zaroori ye hai ki tum apney aap par vishwas rakho, Dev par vishwas rakho. It is the responsibility of you two to make sure you guide the younger ones on the right path but before that you both need to make your relationship stronger and that is only possible when you both have transparency and trust in your relationship. And this is one such situation. I know you do not want Dev to get hurt because of Vicky's acts but this is like ripping a bandage off, in the short term it might hurt but in the long run it is needed. Any relationship is a partnership and it will only be successful when both of you are honest and truthful with each other" she said as Sonakshi nodded in agreement, she was thankful that her mother made her understand and also allayed to her fear. What would she do without her.

"Chal, Ab zyada matt soch. Coffee khatam kar aur Dev se baat kar. I am sure he will understand you" she said and got up as Sonakshi as well, she hugged her mother "Thank you, Maa" she said as Asha replied "Chal, pagal Maa ko bhi koi thank you bolta hai kya" she said as Sonakshi chuckled as Asha left her while Sonakshi picked up her phone, ready to speak to Dev, ready to make things right.

Dev had just left Neha's home, joy clearly visible on his face after his conversation with Neha. It was the first time both the siblings had a heart to heart talk. He was sitting in his car and was about to start it when his phone buzzed as a smile spread across his face seeing the caller.

"Hey Love, missed me the whole day?" he asked as soon as he picked the call while a smile along with a light blush crept across Sonakshi's face, she did not miss the joyous tone in his voice and felt guilty that she was about to spoil that with what she was about to tell but it was necessary.

"Dev, I know you have said that we will meet on Sundays but can we please meet now?" she asked straight away as Dev was caught by surprise, he did not miss the urgency and anxiety in her tone.

"Sonakshi, What's the matter? Why do you sound tensed?" he asked as she replied, "Dev I will tell but please can we meet now?" she asked again as Dev replied, "Ok, lets meet at the coffee shop" he said as Sonakshi agreed and cut the call while Dev was left perplexed, he could sense that Sonakshi was worried about something, he hoped that it was nothing serious as he ignited the engine and left for his destination.

Half an hour later Dev was sitting with Sonakshi at the coffee shop, the crumpled Paper cup in his fisted palms along with the fury clearly visible in his eyes scared Sonakshi for a moment, she had just informed about Vicky's deeds to Dev who at first was flabbergasted but as more truths tumbled out anger surged him as Sonakshi was left in confusion seeing it, did she do the right thing by informing Dev about Vicky?

"Dev, listen to me on..." Sonakshi spoke regaining her composure but was cut off by Dev in between "Why didn't you tell about this before Sonakshi?" he asked in calm tone but she did not miss the underlying anger in his voice, she shuddered a bit but tried to regain her composure. She knew what he was going through at that moment and needed to calm him down.

"Dev.." she said but before that Dev got up "Let's go" he said and moved away as Sonakshi quickly paid the bill and moved to his car, she did not bring her scooter as Elena had taken it for going for her extra classes at the college.

The journey to Sonakshi's home was silent one, Sonakshi was stealing a look at Dev's face from time to time, his face muscles taut and body rigid with his vision fixed on the road ahead, she wanted to start a conversation few times but then kept silent seeing his anger, it was not a time to meddle with DEV DIXIT.

After some time, they reached Sonakshi's home as she got down, Sonakshi could not control herself anymore. She hugged him with all his might as she said "Dev, please control your anger. Please Dev" she said but Dev did not say anything, he did not respond to her hug as well which pained her as she came out of the hug.

Just then Elena reached home, seeing them she went ahead and greeted Dev "Hello Jeeju, Kaisey hai aap?" she said as Dev did not meet her eye, he could not in fact knowing what she faced from Vicky "I AM SORRY ELENA" he said quickly placing a kiss on Sonakshi's forehead he got in to his car and drove away without wishing a goodbye as Elena was caught by surprise.

"Inhey kya hua?" she asked looking at Sonakshi as she narrated about her talk with Dev at the coffee shop while worry lines clearly etched their faces "Sona, Kya Dev jeeju ko ye baat batana sahi tha?" asked Elena as Sonakshi replied "Pata nahi Ele, I hope dev gussey main kuch ulta seedha na kar de" she said clearly worried about his reaction as both the sisters went inside their home, hoping everything would be fine.

Forty-five minutes later Dev entered Ishwari Niwas, anger was clearly visible on his face as he shouted "Vicky, Vicky" as everyone was left surprised seeing him yell out Vicky's name who just came out of his room as he said "Kya hua dev bhai, aapney bul..." he spoke but before he could complete he felt stinging pain on his left cheek as DEV SLAPPED HIM HARD stunning everyone into silence.
