-Next Fall-
"Ah, UCLA. Breathe it in, Elisa." Ian said in a contented tone.
"I'm happy, Ian. It's hard to believe we're here." I told him.
"I can believe that." a familiar voice said behind me.
"Lance!" I exclaimed. Ian chuckled.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I'm here for meteorology." Lance told me.
"Really? That's great!" I told him.
"Oh, I see where this is going. I'll be back later to help you with your things." Ian told me, walking away.
Lance smiled, "So, I heard that your father handed everything to you."
"Yes, he did. He knew how Theresa was all along." I said.
"What is she doing now?" Lance asked.
"She's paying off her debt at the record company with Victoria. Mr. Rankin is watching over her." I explained.
"Well, everything does works out in the end." Lance replied.
"Yeah, you can say it does." I told him.
He hugged me, then said, "Now that you officially have broken your chains, there's something that I have been dying to do."
"Dying?" I asked, confused.
He leaned in and kissed me gently. I kissed him back. I heard a camera click. I pulled away to see Ian with a camera, "This will definitely be my first painting here."
"Ian!" I yelled, running after him. I caught him and jumped on his back, but he was ready and gave me a piggy-back ride back to Lance.
"I feel bad for our kids." Ian said.
"What makes you say that?" Lance asked.
"They'll have some eccentric parents." Ian answered, letting me down.
I laughed. My life is better now and I wouldn't have it any other way.
