(Readers POV)

Me and the team are assigned to design the dance that's coming up. I was carrying some boxes.

Weiss: Over here (Y/N).

I walked up to Weiss and put the boxes down.

(Y/N): Is here fine?

Weiss: A little more to the left.

I pushed the boxes.

Weiss: Now a bit more to the right.

(Y/N): I just moved them.

I sighed and pushed the boxes back.

Weiss: You have to move them to the left again.

I got frustrated.

(Y/N): You do it then!

I walked away and sat down on a nearby chair.

Weiss: Fine. I will show you how you do it.

She moved the boxes like two centimeters.

Weiss: Perfect.

I sighed and closed my eyes.

(Y/N): This is so dumb.

Yang: Why do you say that?

I opened one eye to see Yang sat down next to me.

(Y/N): I don't care for dances. I could be doing something better.

Yang: Like train?

(Y/N): Yes.

Yang: This dance will be fun. You need to take a break from training, at least for one night.

(Y/N): Whatever.

Weiss: Yang! What is this?

Yang: It's a fog machine.

Weiss: We are not having a fog machine.

Yang: If I can't have my fog machine, then you can't help with the dance for the rest of the day.

Yang got up and went to argue with Weiss.

Ruby: Hey (Y/N). Do you know why we were assigned to do this?

(Y/N): Some other team was supposed to do this, but their mission is lasting longer then expected. So they gave us this task.

Ruby: When is the dance?

(Y/N): Tomorrow night.

Ruby: Thanks!

Ruby ran off and started to try to break up Weiss and Yang from there arguing. I sighed and checked my scroll.

(Y/N): Doing this is taking up my free time.

Weiss walked up to me and showed my two pieces of cloth.

Weiss: Which color do you think would be better for the table clothes?

I looked at the pieces and they looked like the same color of white. I pointed at the one she was holding in her right hand.

(Y/N): That one.

Weiss: Good thinking. I was thinking this one too.

She walked away. I got up and went to the door.

Yang: Where are you going?

(Y/N): Somewhere else. I don't know how to make a dance.

I walked out and headed to the gym to train.

(Time skip)

It was combat class. Pyrrha just got done with her fight with team CRDL.

Glynda: We have time for one more match.

A kid raised his hand.

Mercury: I would like to fight.

Glynda: You are Mercury. Ok then, let us find you a partner.

Mercury: Actually, I want to fight... her.

He pointed at Pyrrha.

Glynda: Miss Nikos already had a match.

Pyrrha: It's ok. I happily accept your challenge.

Mercury went down to the arena. Pyrrha and Mercury got ready to fight.

Glynda: Begin!

The fight started. I made sure to watch Mercury's moves. The way he fights against Pyrrha, it looked like he wasn't trying to beat Pyrrha. Why would he not want to win against her? Pyrrha knocked him back with her shield. She rushed at him, ready to attack him again.

Mercury: I forfeit.

Pyrrha looked shocked and ran past him. She stopped and turned around.

Pyrrha: You're not going to try?

Mercury: We are leagues apart. There is no point in trying.

Pyrrha was declared the winner. Mercury wants to fight Pyrrha and forfeit right away. Why? It was the only thing going through my mind.

Yang: That was a weird fight.

(Y/N): Yeah, it was.

The bell ringed. Everyone got up and left the room. I was just walking with Ruby, Weiss, and Yang.

Yang: The dance is tonight. It is going to be awesome.

(Y/N): I'm not going.

The three girls looked at me shocked.

Ruby: Why not?

(Y/N): Because it's a waste of time.

Yang: You are going.

(Y/N): Says who?

Yang: Says me.

(Y/N): You will have to drag me there.

(Time skip)

It was time for the dance to start. Yang was dragging me by the leg. I was in a tuxedo and Yang was wearing a plain white dress.

(Y/N): You are actually dragging me.

Yang: You said I had to.

I crossed my arms and waited for her to stop. We entered a room and she let go of my leg. I got up and looked around. There was already a bunch of people here. I walked to the punch bowl and got a cup. I took a drink and sighed.

Ozpin: Are you not enjoying yourself?

Ozpin walked up to me and stood next to me.

(Y/N): I literally got dragged here. I am not enjoying myself.

Ozpin: Why are you not enjoying this?

(Y/N): I could be doing something more productive.

Ozpin: You know, people have to rest every once in awhile. Days like these don't come by very often. Friends can gather and not have to worry about anything.

I looked at the students dancing together.

Ozpin: By the way, why do you hate Yang so much?

I crossed my arms and scoffed.

(Y/N): She's my rival. We are opposites.

Ozpin: Would you say that you two are like Yin and Yang?

(Y/N): Yeah, opposites.

Ozpin: You day that you two are opposites, yet you two have so much in common.

(Y/N): Like what?

Ozpin: You two went to the same school, your semblances get stronger during a fight, you both want to become huntsman. I would say that is not opposite.

(Y/N): Whats your point?

Ozpin: The Yin and Yang, two forces that appose each other. The two need to work together to reach their full potential. I know you and Yang have been training together and you two do very well when you two team up.

(Y/N): Are you saying that we should become friends?

Ozpin: You are on the same team. It would only be beneficial if you two got along.

He walked away. I thought about what he said.

(Y/N): Do I have to get along with Yang to get stronger?

I looked at the seats and Yang was just sitting there by herself. She looked down being by herself. I blushed a little and walked up to her. She looked up at me.

Yang: Hey (Y/N).

(Y/N): Hey Yang. I wanted to ask you something.

Yang: Really? What is it?

I started to mumble.

Yang: What? I didn't catch that.

(Y/N): I asked if you wanted to dance.

I extended my hand and she took it.

Yang: I would like to.

She stood up and we walked to the dance floor.

Yang: Do you even know how to dance?

I blushed a little more.

Yang: I will take that as a no. Don't worry, it's easy.

She grabbed my other hand and placed it on her hip. She placed her hand on my shoulder and we slowly moved from side to side.

Yang: See? Not that hard.

I saw a flash. I turned my head to see Ruby taking pictures of me and Yang. I blushed more, I was probably as red as a tomato.

Ruby: You two look cute together.

I quickly looked away.

(Y/N): This is so embarrassing.

Yang used let go of my hand and moved my head. I looked at her and she smiled.

Yang: Ignore her. Ruby does this all the time.

Yang grabbed my hand again and intertwined our fingers. We continued to dance.

Yang: What made you decide to offer me a dance? That seems like quite the honor.

(Y/N): Don't get the wrong idea. I just decided to have a change of pace from training, that's all.

Yang: If you say so.

Me and Yang danced until the dance was over. The students started to leave. I let go of Yang and started to walk away.

Yang: (Y/N)!

(Y/N): What is it?

Yang: After all that dancing, my feet are tired. Can you care me to our dorm?

I blushed again.

(Y/N): Are you serious?

Yang just nodded her head. I sighed and decided to care her. I started to carry her bridal style.

Yang: You really are a gentleman.

(Y/N): I can drop you right now.

Yang: Please don't.

I walked all the way to the dorm. I opened the door and walked in.

(Y/N): There, we arrived.

Yang: Carry me to the bed.

I saw another flash. Ruby was holding her scroll and she smiled at me. I quickly put Yang on her bed and I jumped up to mine.

(Y/N): You better delete that!

Ruby: You can't tell your leader what to do.

I blushed and started to go to sleep.
