Everyone was waiting for the party to start. The whole Khanna family looked towards the stairs hearing someone talking on phn and saw Neil standing there instructing someone. He hung up and passed a smile to everyone standing there.

All the girls drooled over his charms. So effortlessly he stole their hearts but at the same they were jealous that the handsome hunk is taken, unaware of his difficult and complicated married life.

In the meantime, a lady in her early 40s alongwith another of about 60 or more & a young curly haired boy arrived in the mansion.

Bebe saw the special guests arriving and went to welcome them.

B: Aaiye, aaiye, swagat h, aap logo ka hi intezaar ho rha tha. Fatima ji, Neela, Ali aap log bikul shi time pe aaye h.

Then Neil joined them. He touched Nanno's(F) feet and did a handshake with Ali(Al).

N: Hello Neela aunty!

He smiled at Neela but his facial expressions changed when he felt some pain in his ear. He turned his head to see the person.

N: Aah! Nanno, dard ho rha h, kaan chodiye mera.

F: Kyu kambakhat, toyi biwi ki maa, toyi saas ko tu aunty bolta h?

Nl(chuckling): Vhi to Nanno, kitne baar bola h pr Neil manta hi nhi.

Neil looked at Neela with "when did that happen" expressions while she laughed and then he too smiled.

N: Achha baba, meri glti h, Neela Maa, happy now?

Neela went near him and cupped his face,

Nl: Very happy bachha.

Neil's eyes twinkled listening "bachha" from her.

N: Kya kha aapne?? Repeat plz.

Nl: Kya, very happy??

N: Uske baad.

Nl(smiling): Baccha??

N(nodding his head): Ji, bahut achha lga aapse ye sunke, mujhe lga tha ye exclusively aapki beti k liye h.

Nl(giggling): Nhi nhi damaad bhi isme equal hissedar h.

Everyone smiled seeing their bond but Shweta was not liking it so she interrupted.

S: Hellos Neela Ji, how's u doings? (turning to Bebe) Vaise inhe to aap janti hi hongi Bebe, Neela Parikh, Dayawanti Mehta ki bahu h ye.

N: Thi. Dayawanti Mehta ki bahu thi, phir inhone Aashish Mehta se divorce le liya tha.

Neela smiled at Neil which he reciprocated and Bebe glared at Shweta, so to escape it, she again started taking.

S: Neela Ji, Ananya not looking anywheres (trying to search).

Nl: Vo Ananya ghr gyi h. Neil ne kha tha last minute preparations k liye use vaapas bhejne k liye to maine kuch gifts lane k bahane use bheja h.

Shweta looked even more disappointed at the fact that Neil was doing so much for her.

B: Vaise jb Ananya ki baat ho rhi h to, (turning to Neela ma) Neela bahut hi achhi parvarish ki h tumne apni beti ki, bahut pyaari bachhi h. Himmati h, dusro ki respect krti h, taarif to bnti h. M to khti hu heera h tumhari beti.

F: Nhi Harleen aapa, Ananya heera nhi h. Panna, pukhraj, moti ko milakar Parasmani h mori Ananya aur uss Parasmani ko tarasha h Neela ne. Apne pyaar se, apni parvarish se. Maa baap dono ka farz pura krke, ek khoobsurat insaan bana diya use.

Everyone smiled at her while Shweta felt like banging her head on the wall to start Ananya's topic.

Neil went from there as someone called him, after his work he turned around and saw Neela ma standing there.

N: Maa, aap yaha, kuch chahiye kya aapko?

Nl: Ha, apne bete ki smile aur khushi.

N: M to smile hi kr rha hu aur bahut khush bhi hu, kya mtlb h aapka?

Nl: Neil tum khush ho, m janti hu pr mujhe aisa kyu lg rha h ki ye khushi adhuri h. Kuch h jo tumhe andar hi andar khaye ja rha h, maa khte ho na to share kr skte ho.

N(smiling): Aapko bhi na hr typical maa vali bimari h. Overthinking ki. M theek hu aur khush bhi.

Nl: Neil zindagi me bahut kuch khoya h maine pr bahut sara experience paya bhi h aur usse maine ye sikha h ki "aadha sach, jhoot se bhi khatarnak hota h" aur ye bhi ki ek relationship me kbhi bhi kisi ek ko faisla lene ka haq nhi hota. Ek maa bachhe k rone se samajh jati h ki use kya chahiye. Maine Avni ko janm to nhi diya pr hu to ek maa hi na? Neil m janti hu ki tum Avni se pyaar krte ho aur ye bhi ki vo bhi tumse pyaar krti h pr fark ye h ki tum samajh pa rhe ho lekin vo nhi samajh payegi. Meri bachhi ne sirf rishte tutte hue dekhe h. Use sachha pyaar kya hota h nhi pata. Isliye uski baato ko serious mt liya kro. Inn sb cheezo me tum dono me se tum zyada samajhdar ho, isliye samjha rhi hu. Meri baat mano to tum dono baithke ek baar baat krlo. Khi aisa na ho Neil ki bahut der ho jaye, hmm??

Neela went from there while Neil stood like a statue. Did she know what he was thinking? Indeed a mother is great 🙇🏻‍♀️. He decided to abide with her words and go with the flow.

Just then someone tapped his shoulder. He turned and smiled seeing his little cousin sister Kareena and Maddy bua (father's sister). He directed them where everyone was standing. Maddy left but Kareena didn't.

N: Kya hua Kareena, tum yha kyu khdi ho?

K(pouting): Bhai, super bhabhi kha h? Abhi tk kyu nhi pahuchi?

N: Vo aane hi vali h. Achha ek kaam krte h, tum na gate k paas jake khdi ho jao aur jb tumhari super bhabhi aaye tb mujhe missed call krna taki m sbko bata sku.

K(excitedly): Done!

She went from there while Neil joined everyone, waiting for Avni.

S: Neela Ji, how many time Ananya takes?

Bebe mentally facepalmed herself while everyone tried understanding Shweta's Einstein level English. Neela ma being the smartest decoded her words.

Nl: Shweta ji aap chinta mat kijiye, vo bs pahuchti hogi.

Every one else too understood and giggled. Just then Neil received a missed call.

Reality striked him and he told everyone about Avni's arrival.

A girl in a beautiful gown enters Khanna Mansion's main gate. Her face couldn't be seen as it was covered with gift boxes which she was holding. She was about to enter inside when as instructed, a helper(H) came in between.

(Helper bol rha tha itna kaam kraya ek dialogue to do🤭🤭, to I being a good writer gave him two dialogues🥺😁🙈)

H: Mam aap rehne dijiye, m andar le ja leta hu.

G: It's fine bhaiya, m leja lungi.

H: Nhi nhi plz, ye hmara kaam h.

The girl handed the box to him.

First, her lips were shown having a smile which is more dangerous and killer than any weapon 😉 when she said a 'thank you', then kohled eyes, then full face and....

Smiling at him, she stepped inside to see dark surroundings. Though she wasn't any other girl who would shout being frightened of darkness but the little Avni in her has experienced this darkness in a closed storeroom, and it's said "Childhood wounds leave the deepest scars🙃" hence the little Avni kicked in.

A(in a scared tone): Ma..maa, aap kha ho, maa....yh...yha itna adhera ky....kyu h?

Voice: Jb tk andhera nhi hoga, ujale ki kimmat kaise pta chlegi.

It didn't take her milliseconds in recognising the voice.

A: Neil plz light on kro, tum kha ho?

Suddenly all the lights switched on making her shut her eyes but then she felt some soft thing touching her. She opened her eyes and looked upward to see a Rose Flower Shower on her. She got excited like a child and opening her arms wide, she twirled with rose petals showering on her.

Every one smiled seeing her happy but someone was lost, lost in her beauty, she was looking breathtakingly beautiful no doubt, but that million dollar smile on her face was hypnotizing and ofc it was Neil. She had definitely made him go week at his knees.

He remembered how he went to the mall to choose a perfect dress for his newly found love and ofc the birthday girl, and like every other man, he was confused about the pieces of fabrics he was seeing over there. After searching a lot his eyes caught the view of a long, simple, floral, red off shoulder gown and at the very first sight, he knew he was searching for this. Neil knew that she would add 5 stars to the dress but the view was much more beautiful than his imagination.

Avni looked confusingly towards everyone and as planned they all shouted "Happy Birthday🎂🎉🎉". This brought Neil out of his trance and Avni got shocked, but sinking in the recent events she entered inside with a wide smile.

Avni went to Bebe and bent to touch her feet but stopping her in between, Bebe hugged her tightly. Prakash too took her in a side hug. After that everyone hugged and wished her while all she could do was to thank all of them with a smile.

A: Bebe, ye sab...mujhe lga ye party Kareena aur Maddy bua k liye h.

B: Yhi to plan tha puttar, agr pehle bta dete to surprise kaise rhta?

She thanked her again and stood beside Neela ma but her eyes were still searching for someone.

Nl(whispering teasingly): Kisi ko dhund rhi ho😉?

A: M? N...nhi to, m....bhla ki...kise dhundungi.

Nl: To phir why are u stammering bachha🤭🤭?

A(avoiding eye contact): Nhi ma, ai...aisi koi baat nh...nhi h.

Nl: Jise tum dhund rhi ho, jisne tumhare liye ye sb plan kiya h, vo vha khada h (pointing to a corner).

Avni turned and saw him. He was standing at a corner. She wondered why he was standing at a place away from everyone's sight but then she noticed that he was talking to someone.

Nl: Ghumi kyu?

A: Huh?

Nl(teasingly): Jb tum kisi ko nhi dhund rhi thi to ghum k dekha kyu?

Not able to take more of her mother's teasings, Avni went from there while Neela ma laughed at her shy daughter and engaged herself in women talks.

When Neil saw Avni moving inside, he was about to go to her but a man called him asking about the sound system. After talking, Neil turned to see Avni standing there with her most beautiful makeup, her smile😊. His heart again skipped a beat and he kept on staring her.

Avni moved her fingers in front of his face. Not getting any response, she shook him.

N: Huh, ky...kya hua?

A: Ye to mujhe tumse puchna chahiye. Pichle 5 min se bula rhi hu tumhe, kha dhyaan h tumhara?

N: Vo m...vo decoration...decoration k baare me soch rha tha.

A: Ohh, Neil vo Thank U. Ye sb tumne mere liye kiya... thankyou so much☺️.

N: C'mon yrr Avni, ye sb koi (air quoting) "Ehsaan" nhi kiya maine tumpe. Maine jo bhi kiya h apni khushi se, Dil se kiya h tumhare liye.

A: M janti hu. And I'm sorry Neil. Tumhare kiye hue hr kaam ko ehsaan ka naam deke, bahut hurt kiya h na maine tumhe?

Neil shook his head in a no and again silence prevailed.

A: Neil, tum kuch bhul rhe ho.

N: Me? Nhi to. Catering ho gya, decoration bhi, sound system check, kya bhul rha hu?

A: 🙄🙄Like seriously!

Neil was so engrossed in the preparations, that he forgot to wish her 🤦. He tried to remember and finally 😅 he understood what she meant.

N: Ohh vo I'm sorry. Birthday...I mean Happy Birthday Avni!

A: Thank you😊!

Again silence.

A: So?

N: So?

A: C'mon Neil, itni sundar dress khridi tumne mere liye, batao to kaisi lg rhi hu.

Neil looked at her shocked. Neela ma couldn't have told her as she promised him.

N(stammering and avoiding eye contact): M...nh... nhi to, m kyu launga tum...tumhare liye koi dress?

A: Achha! Pr ma to kisi se phn pe baat kr rhi thi ki jb apni biwi k liye itni mehengi dress laye ho to use seedha party me dekhna. (Thinking deep) Hmm to aur kitne pati h mere?

N(in a jealous tone): O hello, tumhara sirf ek hi pati h aur vo hu m, smjhi? Ha maine hi diya tha ma ko ye dress.

She looked at him seriously while he stood with an angry pout but then they both laughed.

N(looking down with a shy smile): Vo maine socha ki birthday girl ko special lgna chahiye so...

A(smiling): Thank you so much for everything Neil❤️. Chlo ab batao m kaisi lg rhi hu?

N: Achhi lg rhi ho.

A(pouting): Sirf achhi?

N: Bahut achhi lg rhi ho.

Avni was disappointed. She atleast expected 'beautiful' as a compliment but then got alert when she felt him closer. She saw upwards and saw him smirking and moving towards her. She moved back until her back hit the wall and she got caged between his arms. He leaned towards her ears. His breath fanned on her neck, she closed her eyes and her heart was thumping inside her chest.

N(huskily): Kuch aur expect kr rhi thi wifey, hmm?

A(taking deep breaths): N..nhi to.

N: Lemme give u the compliments u wanna hear.

Saying this he moved away from her ears and pinned her baby hair behind her ears. She opened her eyes slowly and saw him looking at her deeply.

N: Wifey, Mashallah! Kayamat dha rhi ho tum. U r looking beautiful, stunning, ravishing, irresistible, hot and...

He couldn't speak more as Avni placed her palm on his lips. She was crimson red by now.

A(blushing profusely): Bs Neil, itna kafi h.

Saying this she moved from there but Neil held her hand.

N(teasingly): Are abhi to bahut sare baki h, suno to.

Avni just wanted the land to break into two and swallow her while Neil was mentally laughing. He pressed his lips to hold himself from laughing out.

But this time Avni turned to ask him to leave her and caught him red handed. She understood, though his compliments were somewhere real but, he was teasing her.

A(in mind): Achha ji🤨, Avni se panga!

She was thinking this when some mischievous thought striked her. Neil was enjoying himself until he felt Avni moving towards him. Now it was Neil's chance to be shocked and nervous.

A(tracing his jawline and with a playful smile): Shi kha tumne Neil, abhi compliments baki h. So lemme tell u, Mr. Handsome hubby😉(winking).

Neil widened his eyes with his face flushed red😳. He just wanted to escape from there anyhow.

N: H...ha dad, aaya. Avni vo dad bula rhe h, m aata hu.

He moved away from her.

A: Are Neil, tumne to ek bhi compliment nhi suna. Suno to...

But he ran from there asap. Avni rofled seeing him but then blushed remembering their cute romantic moment.

Neil went and stood where everyone was. Avni too came and stood beside him. She looked towards him but he avoided eye contact with her which made her giggle.

Guest: Harleen ji, kis baat ka intezaar ho rha h, birthday shuru kijiye.

N: Ji aunty, bs 2 min, hm kisi ka wait kr rhe the.

Voice: Mera, haina Neil?

Every one turned to see makeup ka mall standing there, oops😝, Riya Mehta.

Neil didn't want to answer her, he looked at Avni who was giving murderous glares to Riya.

Avni snapped her head in his direction and now the glares were for him. Gulping down in fear of his ladydon, he cleared out things.

N: I mean ya, tumbhara bhi but actually I was going to say DD😅.

Avni smiled, Riya frowned and Neil took a sigh of relief. Just then DD arrived and greeted everyone and then went to his bhabhi.

Neil nodded his head and Avni pouted. Neil then went on the stage and holding the mike, made an announcement.

N: May I have ur attention plz? To jaisa ki aap sb jante h ki aaj hm sb yha ikatthe hue h to celebrate a birthday party. Birthday h uska jo meri jitni achhi dost h, utni hi achhi insaan bhi.

P: Aur biwi bhi. Are bhyii shaadi ki h tune usse. Biwi bolne me sharam aa rhi h tujhe?

Both Avni and Neil blushed.

N: Of course not dad. Utni hi achhi bahu bhi aur wife bhi. Happy Birthday to my dear Ananya. And aaj uske birthday k iss din pe m use hr tarike se special feel krana chahta hu. So ab hogi cake cutting which is normal but of course the way it will be, won't be normal.
