Summary: Set after the events of Civil War, Peter Parker tries to adjust to being a "superhero", but it's terrible timing since homecoming is around the corner!

There's this girl, Mary Jane, who is absolutely beautiful and down-to-earth, who Peter wants to take to homecoming. However, knowing his luck, things are sure to go wrong... There will be special appearances and cameos by characters in the MCU. DISCLAIMER: Although it may have the shell of a Superhero story, this is really the story of an awkward high schooler trying to make it through the week.

Reviewer's Remarks: This work is a - you guessed it! - spiderman fan fiction. Note that the story is presented in the form of a script. I admit, this aspect made me a little hesitant to proceed reading but then I thought 'diversity is good' - so I gave it a shot. The thing I liked about this book was that the author altered it a little - I know most fans won't like this - and included their own distinction.

What I would like to discuss is the dialogues presented in the book. The speech seemed forced and I was unable to note the distinct personalities of each individual character. When depicting a story in the form of a script the author must always be aware of character development, plot development, setting, scenes.

Firstly, the development of the plot. Author's must always keep in mind that the story must never be rushed - nor should it be dragged. I admit, finding the balance is kind of difficult. My advice would be to gain feedback from an editor or another reader. Another helpful tip would be to sketch out a 'story mountain' (background, rising action, climax, falling action and resolution).

Character development is another important aspect I have discussed countless times (you may refer to previous reviews). This is vital. Readers enjoy reading books in which they can relate to the characters. In script writing an author must note each character's individual personality and reflect it through their dialogues. (For example: Let's suppose 'Sam' is a character in my book - she is smart, sassy and a confident personage. I would portray her personality through speech by assigning her dialogues which may fit her personality - sarcastic, quirky remarks.)

The book has potential and it is up to the author to embrace that potential.

Rating (out of five): 2.75

A note to the author: EDITING IS KEY. Read through your work multiple times and correct any misconceptions that may cause the reader to lose interest. Composing fan fiction is kind of tricky - especially when utilizing another author's story and proceeding it on your own. Like I mentioned above I really admired how you managed to depict your story through script.
