Summary: Nicole and Bella had a plan of dominating their Junior year at Vail Oak Academy with amazing grades and crazy memories, not including drama or boys. That is until they both unexpectedly end up falling for completely different kinds of people.

Reviewer's Remarks: This is a work of teen fiction specifically a contemporary romance. The story alternates between two point of views - best friends Nicole and Bella. Their story commences with their plan to establish a name for themselves during their Junior year at the Academy. However, their Junior year takes an unexpected turn when they both fall in love.

This is an appealing read with delightful characters and a fair plot line. However (and I mean this in the best way possible) the author could have paid a little more attention to character development. The portrayal of Nicole and Bella's friendship felt bland - considering that the reader (myself) was not offered much detail regarding either individual.

Secondly, I would like to discuss the manner of speech - although the comments were witty they felt forced and odd coming from a particular character. Again I must refer to the character development issue - because the reader was not offered much specifications regarding the character it was difficult to actually visualize the personage vocalize specific dialogues (I don't really know if you are able to comprehend what I am attempting to inform here).

The usage of grammar is fair and there are rarely any misconceptions in that aspect. However, I feel that the author could have used a little more descriptions to illustrate the scenes. In general it was a quick and light hearted read enjoyable for readers of romance and chick-lit.

Rating (out of five): 3

A note to the author: This story was quite a fair read, however as I mentioned above their are a few aspects that may need improvement.

1. Character Development: While developing characters there are a handful of aspects you must take into account - such as appearance, relationships, ambitions, the character's flaws, their internal dialogues (thoughts), assure that the reader finds your character relatable and aside from their flaws their restrictions (such as mental or physical weaknesses).

2. Plotting:  While reading I also felt that there was no specific order in the way you were proceeding with the story. I understand that writing is like navigating a ship with no sense of direction but (as writers) in order to depict a story you must always vaguely sketch out details or storylines that may appear to you at any time. It is helpful if you keep a notepad where you can jot down notes regarding any ideas you may receive about your book.
