"Have a good night, y'all!" I waved to the last people leaving the cafe.

It was currently 9:50 which meant it would soon be time to start closing up. I began wiping down a table and since no one was around starting softly singing (Y/F/S). Just as I finished the first table, a small group walked in, two guys and a girl. They looked incredibly worn out and tired.

"Are you guys closed yet?" One if the guys asked.

I smiled. "Technically no. Pick any table you'd like."

I followed them to their table and handed them menus. I got their orders down and was about to leave to get started. "And since I can you three have had a busy day, you can stay as long as you like."

"Are you sure?" The other guy asked.

He was the one who caught my attention. He had short brown hair and pretty green eyes. "Yeah, it's okay." I assured him.

I walk away and go help prepare their orders. I started singing (Y/F/S) again. As I was working, I could overhear their conversation. They were talking about upcoming musicald and scheduling and as much as it interested me, I tried to make it look like I wasn't eavesdropping. But then I hear something that I couldn't help but turn my head a little at.

"Do you here our waitress?" The girl ask her friends. "She's singing. Her voice sounds amazing."

Their food was done at this point and I pretended like I hadn't heard anything as I walked back to their table. I gave them their orders and as I turned the leave the girl stopped me.

"Hey, wait." She said. "Can you stay for a moment?"

"Sure." I said.

The girl scooted over so I could sit next to her. "I'm Gwen and this is Nate and AJ." She introduced herself and the guys.

"Nice to meet y'all. I'm (Y/N)."

"Your voice is incredible." Nate said.

"Thanks." I replied. "I sing a lot when I'm at work. And at home or anywhere really."

"We we have some upcoming projects we could use some extra help and backing vocals for." AJ continued. "Is that something that interests you?"

"Yeah. Tell me more."

They all went on about hiw they make video game musicals and upload them to YouTube. They told me about some of their upcoming projects and it all sounded fascinating.

"So you wanna help us?" AJ asked.

*time skip*

"AJ, I'm back!" I walked in through the front with a small bag in my hands. "I got the supplies you and Nate needed."

I had been helping Random Encounters for a few months now. I had grown close with everyone and was starting to develop tiny feelings for AJ.

"Thanks, (Y/N)." AJ took the bag. "Can you go help Gwen finish the rest of the costumes?"

"Sure." I nodded and jogged upstairs.

"Hey, AJ sent me to help you finish the costumes." I told Gwen when I found her.

"Good. They'll get done alot faster with two people." She replied.

We started working and about an hour later, Gwen looked over at me with a raised eyebrow.

"(Y/N), can I ask you something?" She asked.

I shrugged. "Sure."

"Do you like AJ?"

I halted abruptly in my working. "Why do you ask?"

"Just curious."

"Maybe a little." I said gently running my hand over my arm.

Gwen smiled at me encouragingly. "You should tell him."

I let out a nervous chuckle. "Yeah, that's funny."

"I'm serious. You should tell him."

I looked away, contemplating whether or not I actually had the courage to tell him or not. I had wanted to so many time but my nerves held me back.

I just wish telling him was easy.

*short time skip*

That night, I stayed up late with AJ while he worked on the video. Gwen and Nate had alreadu gone to bed so I knew it was just the two of us.

You should tell him.

I sighed and chewed on my nails a bit. Here goes nothing.

"Hey AJ, can I talk to you about something?" I asked.

"Sure, what's up?"

I patted the space next to me on the couch and waited for him to sit down beside me. "There's something I've been wanting to tell you for a while now. Like a-a long while now but I've been to nervous and scared, well not scared but—"

Crap! I'm rambling. Get it together, (Y/N).

"and I know I've had plenty of opportunities to tell you and I should've taken them but—"

I was cut off by AJ leaning foward and pressing his lips against mine. I let myself melt into the moment and I scooted closer and mested my hands on the back of his neck while his fingers were placed gently under my chin. We stayed like for several seconds before we both pulled away.

"I love you too." He said once we both caught our breath.

"How'd you know that's what I was trying to say?"

AJ smiled and nervously rubbed the back of his neck. "It was more like wishful thinking."

"Well that's what I was trying to say." I smiled back. "I love you."

"I love you too." AJ leaned forward again and gently kissed my forehead before we both headed of to bed.
