Hotaru's POV:
"Take this redhead!!" As the male player slams the volleyball over the net, I immediately jump over and slam the ball easily knocking him out.

"Ack!" He winced as he crashes to the hard wooden floor, I landed flawlessly and flip my ponytail while the whole students stared in awe. However the coach blew that damn whistle and called me out.

"Kasai! That is a foul play!" He scolded, but I rolled my eyes and shrugged carelessly.

"Whatever gramps, imma be at the hallway taking a break from that stupid game." I nonchalantly retorted as I walk off the court.

"Wha- Hey! Where are you- Kasai!" He yelled at me, but I ignore him and kept on walking away, but not before that sleazy pervert made a snide remark while being surrounded by his lovey dovey fan girls.

"My, my dragon-chan, you're going to be trouble.~" He teased as his fan girls let out a soft giggle, but I rolled my eyes and left the gym without saying a single word. Once I left that sweaty place, I sighed and scratch my head.

"Damn, What's with him? All I did is slam the ball. So what gives? Is this what school is like?" I grumbled while ruffling my hair.

"You again."

"Hm?" I raise my head up to see Subaru sitting against the wall nearby the girls locker room.

"Oh hey Subaru." I greeted as I walk pass him and use the water fountain to quench my thirst. Suddenly I heard the door open when I felt someone's approaching me.

"Nice ass redhead." He complimented where I stop drinking for a second and turn my head to the tall bastard with brown eyes and messy light brown hair that is tied in a bun with bangs and some strands hanging out from the back.

"That is the lamest attempt I ever heard." I bluntly spat with a frown.

"Don't care, I can say whatever I want." He retorted.

"So what do you want?" I asked curiously where he shrugged his shoulders.

"Nothing much, I'm just getting water after that dumb match." He gruffly replied.

"Okay..." I skeptically complied with a suspicious look where I sniff his weird scent.

He smells familiar...could it be that he's the same species as the Sakamakis?

I pondered, but soon my train of thoughts for interrupted when I heard a loud boom across the hallway where I turn to see Subaru punching the wall with a strong glare.

"Hey Yuma...stop harassing Hotaru and get the hell out." He coldly demand him.

"Huh? And who the hell are you telling me what to do?" He asked with a frown.

"Just shut up and get lost, your foul scent is making me sick." He harshly spat.

Wait what? They're not the same?

I thought confusingly when Subaru said that. Annoyed with the white haired vampire, Yuma clicked his tongue.

"Tch you full blooded vampires are nothing but smug little bastards." He grumbled as he walks away from us and went back to the gym. I blink my eyes twice, but turn my glance at Subaru.

"Ummm thanks?..." I thanked him with an awkward expression, but Subaru turns his head away.

"Don't get the wrong idea...I only did it cuz he irritates me that's all..." He grumbled, but I could see a tiny blush on his face which had me giggling a bit.

"Whatever you say Tsunbaru." I playfully teased which had Subaru blushing like crazy and buried his face underneath his knees.

"Shut up...." He retorts while blushing, but I didn't care and kept on smiling as I approach him and sat next to him without asking him.

"You know...I was expecting you to be this quiet and distant loner guy that keeps his distance away from other people and prefers to be alone, but..." I turn to him with a warm smile.

"...That's not actually the case now isn't it?" I asked with a friendly smile as Subaru remain silent, but slowly rises his head a bit revealing his ruby eyes.

"I've always been alone...I've been like this since I was born....I had no one..." He muttered while keeping his head down. Feeling bad for this guy, I scoot close to him and smiled gently at him.

"Well you seem to have one right now right? I mean you did save my ass a minute ago, so why wouldn't I be friends with a loner guy?" I stated with a kind grin which had Subaru shifted his gaze at me for a minute before turning his gaze from me.

"I guess...." He murmured feeling shy already, but I didn't mind and lay my head on his shoulder.

"In that case, mind if I hang out with you for a while?" I asked curiously as I felt Subaru shrugging his shoulders timidly.

"Do what you want." He replied as I grin warmly and kept on laying my head on his shoulder where we both enjoy our peaceful days in school.
