Part 12 — Nowhere

Zap wasn't thinking when he ran down the stairs, past Momoko, and out the door. He didn't even prepare himself for anything; he had brought nothing with him. He had just run out the door with no motive.

He was thinking of going back, as a rational person would do, but something kept telling him that it was a bad decision. Why, though? he asked himself.

Zap saw the illusion of a light shining bright in a certain direction, which he natrually chose to follow. What's this?

Aparrently getting closer to the light, Zap started to lose consciousness. What's happening? He tried to go back, but that was out of his power now. It's just the light and me now...

Momoko stared at the clock. The noise it made was the loudest noise in the apartment. It's still quiet...Zap hasn't come home...I wonder if he will, anyway. He just ran off like that, so he must come back soon, right? Worrying, but not panicking, Momoko ultimately decided to go upstairs and wake Xin up. It's been hours...I understand Azyra, because she's reading on her phone, but Xin started before me and I finished first. I slept for an entire hour. Is she sleeping till the morning? "Xin. Wake up." With no response, she began to shake Xin. "Wake up!"

Xin was still sound asleep. Momoko grabbed a cup, filled it with warm water from the sink, and splashed it on Xin's face.

"Huh...? What?" Xin looked up at Momoko, who still held the cup. "Come here..." Xin rolled out of bed and chased Momoko out of her room and down the stairs. "WHERE ARE YOU GOING?! COME BACK HERE!" Meanwhile, Azyra, hearing this, looked up, shrugged, and went back to her session of fanfiction.
