Assana's POV
That was before we knew the cold truth of life.
Where did mama go?

Because you tend to hear things out in the wild. I hate when my sister goes out on her own but her curiosity gets the best of her. So far she gad bits and pieces about mother. She was some sort of leader target and that's why they picked her.

She must've known this would happen ahead of time so she put birthmarks on all of us. We were meant to find each other restore the land. I'm not sure that my twin understands that yet but I will do what I must. To be honest I think she's in denial, that mother would actually leave. It's the cold truth.

It's been a few years we've only left the nest to search for others like us and to hunt, we have been unsuccessful. But today I got this feeling something was going to happen. She must've felt it too because she knew I was looking at her.

I squeak in fear. "Aldara.." I look scared for my young life. My twin smirked at me, ' We hunted before just pretend like we're hunting, we're not actually going to kill them. Just hop around and be scary'

'Ooh okay!' I get in a stance and growl, pretending to be scary. "Grrr.."

I hear her laugh. 'Not like that. Let your instincts take over. Hurry!' I can hear the footsteps getting closer.

They walk in with their big boots and they're machetes. The first thing my sister does is block their view from what they want. While doing so they come at her trying to get past her. She clawed at his face and bit the hand of the first man that was reaching out to grab the creature which was a unicorn.

He screams in agony as she continues to fight harder to keep him in place. With his other hand he uses his knife to slash out at her face.

I growl and go for another one. He looked like a challenge but anything for me and my twin to make it out alive.

" Let me go bitch! Will leave!" Somehow he knew I understood him so I on clenched my teeth from his hand. He and his partner had retreated.

I go after the other one to make sure he goes away snapping my teeth. "And don't think about coming back!" I spit in fury, my eyes burning with a danger as they headed to who knows where.

Aldara was investigating the wounds on the unicorn. She didn't seem to have any which was good. "What's your name?"

" Ellie... Ever since I was born they been chasing me."

I come back and stare at the unicorn. "Is she okay?" I look at you and see how hurt you are. "Aldara!" I gasp, concern taking over me.

She sighs " It's not infected so it should heal fairly quickly... This is the last straw. I am done!" She was so pissed off at the moment she was already walking out of the cave down to the path of the hunter village.
