Caitlin stirred awake, blinking to adjust to the darkness around her. She sat up, taking in her surroundings as she tried to remember what had happened. Her eyes instantly widened and she let out a small gasp as she realized she was in a dungeon.

It was dark, the only light coming from a few torches. It looked old; the bars were rusty and the cell was dirty. Caitlin almost failed to notice two silhouettes on the other side of the cell.

"Oi Olivia, the girl's awake," the one silhouette said. It was a thick British accent, coming from a boy.

The silhouettes stepped out into the light. It was a boy and a girl, they looked like twins. They both had ginger hair and a few freckles. The girl had medium length hair, while the boy had hair with a bit of a brown tone to it. It was obvious he had heterochromia too, as he had one navy blue and one brown eye, while the girl had violet eyes. The boy had his arms crossed with a cocky smirk playing on his lips. He definitely seemed more like the confident type, while the girl seemed more nonchalant.

"Isn't that sad; being a prisoner in your own home," the boy said as he grabbed a hold of one of the rusty bars, looking down at Caitlin with a smirk, who only stared back at the boy. She couldn't deny it; he was kinda cute.

"Who are you?" Caitlin asked, staring at the boy cautiously.

"Why, I'm glad you asked, my dear," the boy said with his charming British accent. "My name's Owen, and this is my dear twin: Olivia!" He motioned to the other girl as he introduced her.

"Oi, why don't you do some talking, sis?" Owen suggested, before making his way to a nearby chair and slouching down in it lazily.

"I apologize for my brother's behavior," Olivia said. Her voice was emotionless and she seemed quite nonchalant. "I bet you have a lot of questions, yes?"

Caitlin eyed Olivia suspiciously, before cautiously nodding her head.

"Sorry to break your heart, princess, but we're not at liberty to tell you anything," Owen explained as he got up from his chair. He walked towards a door, which Caitlin assumed was the exit.

"Come on sis, let's go," he continued as he held the door open for Olivia.

"Wait!" Caitlin called out, standing up and running towards the bars. She grabbed a hold of them and tried her magic on it, only to feel a burning sensation in her palms. She gasped in pain and instantly let go of the bars. She looked down at her hands, seeing her palms were completely red from the burn.

"Oh, that's right, I forgot to tell you this," Owen started as he walked up to Caitlin's cell. He ran a finger down one of the bars as he smirked at the small girl. "Magic doesn't work while you're inside that cell."

Caitlin leaned towards the bars, furrowing her eyebrows at Owen. A slight smirk played on her lips. "My friends will rescue me."

"Don't be so sure about that, sweetheart," Owen said as he leaned closer to the bars intimidatingly. His playful smirk was still plastered on his lips as Caitlin's confident expression faded. "A shapeshifter has taken your place."

"T-they'll know it's not me," Caitlin insisted, as both Owen and Olivia let out a light chuckle.

"Emilia's pretty good at what she does, don't underestimate our shapeshifter," Olivia explained. Caitlin grabbed a hold of the rusty bars, looking straight into Olivia's eyes.

"Don't underestimate my friends."

Owen chuckled, before looking over at Caitlin. "Feisty, aren't you?" He smirked.

"You have no idea," Caitlin replied, keeping her fierce glare locked on the cocky but cute boy.

Owen's smirk grew at the small girl, before he turned around and grabbed a hold of the door. "Well, cheerio!" He exclaimed, sending Caitlin a small wave before closing the door after him, leaving the girl all alone in the dark.

--

"What happened back there?!"

Sam glared intimidatingly down at "Caitlin", crossing her arms like a mom scolding her child. Emilia looked up at the angry black-haired girl sadly, twirling her necklace in her fingers.

"You don't need to scold her, Sam," Penny explained, wrapping her arms around Caitlin as comfort. "I bet it was really traumatic..." Penny looked down at Caitlin in her arms sadly, who smiled back sheepishly.

"But why did you turn around?" Penny asked softly, letting go of the small blonde to look at her confusedly.

"I, um..." Caitlin paused for a moment, trying to come up with a decent excuse. She looked down at the necklace she was still twirling in her fingers, before looking back up. "I-I dropped my necklace."

"You went back for a necklace?!" Sam exclaimed, basically fuming by now.

"It's important to me..." Caitlin continued sheepishly. Sam had turned around, continuously banging her head into the wall and letting out a high-pitched squeal.

"I think you broke Sam," Penny giggled, bumping her shoulder gently into Caitlin's as she giggled back. Penny then sent Caitlin a warm smile. "I'm glad you're ok."

Caitlin sent a smile back. "It's thanks to you," she explained. "Thank you for saving me, Penny."

Penny instantly froze, her eyes widening slightly and her lips barely parting. Caitlin didn't notice the slight change in Penny's expression, as a voice was heard throughout the school.

"Everyone meet up in the homeroom immediately."

Penny walked with Caitlin and Sam to the homeroom, watching Caitlin suspiciously as she and Sam continued to talk. All the students sat in rows as Margaret stood in front of everyone, ready with information for the Zodiac Signs.

"I believe it's about time to explain to you all exactly what's going on," Margaret started, as everyone's attention was locked on her. "I've told you all about the story of Sullivan, right?" Multiple Signs nodded in response.

"And I've told you about how you're all destined to fight against him, right?" Multiple Signs nodded again.

"Well..." Margaret started, looking away as if she was uncertain whether or not to actually tell everyone.

"That time might come sooner than planned."
