This shit, it just fill up my entity. Made me feel like my enemy.

I worked at a diner called Brite Spot. It was known to be a hip diner and perfect place for breakfast & lunch with vegan options & homemade pancakes. It was a good job with fairly pay and it got a decent amount of customers daily. Ever since my dad passed away, I've been working at this diner to help my mother.

Two steaming plates were set down on the counter, indicating the orders were ready. Walking over to the couple who sat in their booth patiently, I slowly laid their orders on the table.

"Here you go and enjoy."

"Ah, thank you."

"Let me know if you need anything else."

"Thank you."

"Mhm."

I sat down near my friends Yeri and Donghyuck who were currently slobbering all over each other's faces. I glanced at them.

I didn't really know Yeri right before Koeun died. But I didn't like her. She was too peppy, too lovey-dovey with her boyfriend, Donghyuck or Haechan who seemed completely useless to me. But Yeri felt terrible about Koeun's accident and we just suddenly became friends.

I gagged catching the couple's attention. They both turned to me.

"Oh."

"Don't be such a cynic, okay? This will be you soon," she chuckled as Hyuck's arm wrapped around her. I only scoffed at her in reply. Yeah, I've dated before but it was nothing exclusive. Yes, I admit that I have slept with multiple guys from different grades and all that but that was the old me. I've graduated high school, I get to move on with my life. I've admitted my past, doesn't that make me a better person?

A man outside the entrance caught my attention. He held a cigarette between two fingers and his papers in his other hand. The streetlights illuminated above his figure, casting a shadow that hid in the neon lights. It was my professor, Mr. Seo.

I slid out from the booth and furtively snuck up behind him with such stealth.

"Hi, Mr. Seo."

"Oh, hey. You don't have to call me that." He chuckled. He was a tall and slender man. My eyes glossed over the papers he held in his hands.

"Grading papers on a Thursday night, Mr. Seo?"

He chuckled and brought the cigarette to his lips and inhaled the smoke. The toxins invaded my lungs as I took it in.

"You don't have to call me that anymore." He showed a smile. "High school's over and John is just fine."

"Even though you're gonna be my professor in a few months?" I slyly answered. Coincidentally, Mr. Seo decided to teach at the college I got into.

"Ah, you signed up for psych?"

"I did."

A car pulled up in the parking lot a few feet away from the diner.

"Woah, check this out. Now that school is over, they don't have to hide it anymore."

"Looks to me like she's doing her job," RenJun shrugged. He stared at the two. He eyed the man with bitter indignation, yet the resentment remained hidden behind his saturnine face. He then turned to the girl. His eyes glimmered longingly. He was desperate for her attention. Desperate enough to get rid of those who get in his way.

"Oh, she does jobs on him alright," replied Jeno earning a laugh from Na Jaemin who sat in the back seat.

"Bullshit," RenJun muttered under his breath.

"Are you serious, RenJun? We're talking about her." Jeno was suddenly compelled by RenJun's behavior towards the girl. His smirk grew.

"Yeah, she's just friendly." Jaemin and Jeno snickered. This enraged RenJun down below but he decided to stay intact and not snap at his two friends. How could they say that? They don't even know her. He then briefly remembered his conversation with the girl. At the heat of the moment, he was infuriated by the blow he received. His sketchbook rested on his desk which contained scurrilous insults that overlapped his notes on human anatomy and a sketch of the female body.

"You guys don't even know what you're talking about. You just believe everything you hear."

"Yeah. Well, I hear she is a slut." Jeno said nudging Jaemin who was laughing obnoxiously loud. RenJun only glowered at Jeno with distaste. His eyed bored into Jeno's making him tense with discomfort. Jeno's repulsive manner infuriated RenJun yet he kept it cool. Don't snap. Not yet.

"W-what? Why are you sticking up for her?"

"Get out."

"What?" Jaemin scoffed. The boy's looked at each other with smirks plastered on their face.

"Wha-"

"Get the fuck out. Now." Their smirks died out. RenJun's glare burned through their widened eyes making them break out into a sweat.

"Dude, what the fuck?"

"C'mon dude, let's go." The two of them scrambled out of the car, running and bumping into each other as they crossed the street to get to the other side of the road.

The car doors slammed and RenJun was left under the dim light radiating above with hands on the wheel. The light breeze cooled his heated body.

At 12 o'clock you'll be mine.
