You added the last detail, so tiny yet so important to this work of art. It was raining out side and you and Ekko had really nothing to do. You had painted him and he watch you. At this point you both were covered in paint, he had messed you your paints a bit which you didn't mind much.

You sat next to him, cupped his cheek, and smudged some paint with your thumb. You said in a joking manor, " You look like you got war paint on your face. " He laughed, you loved his laugh. It sounded so real, like he was actually happy. You had trouble telling when someone was actually happy, you didn't know why. Maybe it was because of how you grew up but that's a different story for later.

Ekko and you flopped over onto the bed instead of sitting up. You both were now laying on both of yours sides.  You look at him and he smiled back at you. No words needed to be said, all you had to do what look at him to make Ekko smile.

He noticed you staring at him so he said,"Take a picture, it'll last longer." This mad you best out laughing. You laid down your your back as you laughed.

" I don't need a picture, I have a painting. " You replied as a joke. He had gotten a little curious and asked, " Can I see it? "

You nodded and got up, he did the same. Ekko looked at the painting, it looked wonderful. The paint was still shiny because it hadn't dried just yet. " Your good at what you do. " He complainted. Your smile just grew when he spoke.

It was still pouring outside, it was supposed to rain for two days straight so the firelight kinda chose to stay inside. Of course at times they might go on missions.

Both of you laid back down on your bed. He turned to face you. " Do you wanna know something ? " Ekko asked. When he spoke you shifted your body so now you where facing him. " Yes, I do. What is it? "

" I love you. " Before you could speak he kissed you for a split second.

" I am so lucky to have you as a boyfriend. " You side with a large smile plastered on your face.
