DETAIL DESCRIPTION* ▬▬▬ a deep black tomcat, who's pelt is littered with light grey flecks. his paws are a muddy brown, the grey flecks going down them. his eyes are a very dark kind of leafy green. his left ear is torn, and his muzzle is scraped from a tumble as a kit into brambles.

GENERAL PERSONALITY ▬▬▬ nightpaw is trying the very best he can. with everything. with his family, with his job in the clan, with his training partner. but he *needs* everything to be perfect. what's the point of having something, if it's not perfect?! if he tries so hard, it should be.

adding from his perfectionist nature, he's also more than anxious. what if he does something completely wrong? then what will happen? he's constantly asking those questions to himself. he doesn't want to be scolded, or anything of the like. he just wants to be..unnoticed unless his work his perfect.

sure, he likes that he can help. loves it, in fact. having his connection to riftclan, knowing he's making cats and their families happy and no longer suffer. but he's so paranoid that he'll slip up and give someone the wrong dose of something, diagnose them wrong, etc that it ruins it. even with his training partners reassurance, it's very hard to get past his paranoia, anxiety, and perfectionism.

nightpaw, even with that, still tries his best to be kind to his mentor, and training partner. those cats he is always around and has to be, though. it's harder with the cranky cats. he just wants to enjoy what he does. to go, unnoticed until he perfects every little thing he does.

BACKGROUND ▬▬▬ he was born in the beginning of warm water, when the snow started getting slushy. his mother had fallen ill with how quickly the temperature change was, and she struggled after birthing nightpaw and his littermates.

she barely had enough energy to care for herself, much less five kittens. it caused for a few including nightpaw himself, to be undernourished. she was still trying, and did go to the mystic for help, eventually, and got somewhat better.

the sickness didn't go away completely, unfortunately. it just lessened, enough for her to take care of her kittens a bit more. though, it didn't work very well as two kits died from malnourishment.

she became extremely overprotective of her surviving kittens, then, not letting them do anything she even slightly disapproved or thought was dangerous, even now as they are tenderfoots.

nightpaw, and his littermates, are coddled, and they are all seriously a bit scared of disappointing her, or anyone, because of her high expectations. (for, well, losing her other two kits.) they all are a bit of perfectionists, and it's not a fun thing.

(his father has been out of the picture the whole time, due to a hunting incident where he ran into a predator.)
FRIENDSHIPS* ▬▬▬ he prefers to stay away from other tenderfoots, and, well, every other cat when he doesn't have to be around them for his role. so, so far, he doesn't have any friends besides his littermates.

* nightpaw didn't originally want to be a mystic, despite his riftclan connection, but after realising he could somewhat calm his mother because of his connection to riftclan, he was very excited about both aspects.
