Blowing some smoke away, he sighed at the night sky as he leaned against the balcony window. Two arms wrapped around his waist and he felt a kiss placed against his neck and snuggled against his shoulder. He smiled and placed a hand on his arm.

???: "What's wrong?"

He shook his head. Placing his arm against the rails holding his cigarette and wrapping his other arm around her waist and pulled her close, placing a soft tender kiss on her cheek. She smiled softly and placed a hand on his cheek and rubbed her thumb on his cheek. He shivered a little when he felt the cold metal touching his cheek. The shiny stone shined from the moonlight. 

Shu: "Nothing. Something from work really annoyed me."

??? (Chuckles): "So you're venting it out on a cigarette?"

Shu shook his head and pressed the cigar on the ashtray letting it cool off and turned to his wife. He placed his hands in her waist and rubbed her thigh with his thumb and rubbing his nose against hers.

Shu: "Tomorrow I have to go to a meeting and I won't be home for a until around 9pm. So, go to sleep and I'll join you later."

His wife hummed and kissed his cheek, moving away from him and walking back inside. He sighed and pulled out his phone, a message sent from Valt. He sent him a photo of his rival, Altair, she's an assassin and she takes out most of their targets. His wife doesn't know that he was in the mafia. And if she did then people will definitely come and kill her and use her to threaten him.

Smoke almost filled the room, all members in black, both assassins and mafias gathered together, females and male in black and white. And of course Shu in his black suit next to his best friend, Valt.

Valt: "You think she'll show?"

Shu only huffed he hoped she wouldn't but the world didn't listen to him.

???: "My, if it isn't the famous Mr Spryzen and Mr Valtryek. How are you both?"

Both turned to the female assassin standing behind them. Her fan covering the lower half of her face but wore a mask over her eyes.

Shu: "Altair."

Shu grudgingly greeted. Shu swore he could feel her smirk behind her mask. Shu was pretty annoyed with her antics because she always pushed her onto him even though he has a wife, and clearly she can't know it as much as he want her to because his wife will be in danger.

This started when they first met.

~Back 6 years ago~

Assassin boss: "I'd like everyone to meet my new assassin, Altair."

This assassin walked up with a mask covering her mouth, dressed full in black.

She said nothing but Shu noticed she kept glancing at him, making him give her the stink eye. And this was going to get annoying because he had similar problems when he was just Shu Kurenai or Spryzen but this was a longer case.

Now, in the present, as usual everyone sat in their respective seats. Altair sat a table away from Shu and Valt but they all were paying attention to the announcement. As the announcement was going on over 2 hours and come to an end. Suddenly the lights went out and a gunshot rang out.

Someone was yelling to turn on the emergency lights. Soon, the lights turned on and screams filled the room when they saw a couple of bodies spread out on the floor, both the Assassin and Mafia members were laying dead.

A dead silence filled the room. Some people were moving to the weapons slowly, then someone from the mafia side whipped out a gun and fired away and all hell broke loose. Screams and yells were the only thing Shu can hear. A glimmer shined on his right and moved away but he barely dodged it causing a scar on his eye.

He placed his hand over his eye and glared at his assassin. He held a knife in his hands and was about to strike again, and Shu reaching for his gun but before any could do anything a katana striked through the man's heart.

Shu paused himself and looked up to his savior. It was Altair, she held a teasing smile but immediately wiped it off and grabbed Shu by his shoulders and perched it over her shoulders. She gave him her handkerchief to place it over his eye. But something about this handkerchief was familiar. He couldn't think when she spoke.

Altair: "Valt and your other friends are safe. It's best if you don't get yourself involved in this bloodshed. I'll handle this."

She took him to a room and found his friends all hanging around. Valt and Honcho rushed up to them. Altair handing Shu to them and sat Shu down so he could rest. Altair opened the door and glanced a worry to Shu and left to go back to the battlefield. Reina came over with a first aid.

Valt: "Shu, are you okay?"

Shu: "No."

Valt sweatdropped at the quick and blunt reply. He then looked at the handkerchief that was pressed against his injured eye.

Valt: "Wait, isn't that Y/N's?"

Shu hummed a question and took of the handkerchief, covered in his blood and Reina started on bandaging his eye, but no doubt that's Y/N's handkerchief. Why would his wife's handkerchief be with Altair unless...

Reina finished bandaging his eye. And a couple of minutes later the fighting stopped. Everyone on the room stayed silent until they heard some footsteps. Some took out their weapons ready for an attack. The footsteps stopped in front of the door. The door opened and Honcho threw the knife at the person but they easily caught it.

Altair: "Hey, watch it."

She threw the knife back to him and Honcho easily caught it. Apologizing he put it back in his pocket.

Altair: "The bloodshed is over. You guys can come out. Our bosses handled the situation. Those assholes didn't even bother stopped it earlier."

The group left the room but only Valt, Shu and Altair was left alone. Valt looked between them and slowly left the room. Closing the door behind him.

Silence welcomed them, Shu then spoke up.

Shu: "I should have known..."

He left out a dry chuckle. Altair only kept a straight face. She walked up to him, standing in front of him. Shu leaned his head against he stomach and she placed a hand on his head.

Y/N: "Well, I outsmarted you."

Shu chuckled he stood up and wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her temple.

Shu: "I'm just glad you're safe. And you're such a badass."

Y/N (giggles): "I know I am."

Y/N smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck. They moved away a little but still kept their hold against one another. They both leaned in, almost in a slow-motion, they connected their lips together.
