The polished floor reflected the faint light, making it seem as though they were standing on a pool of moonbeams.

Shu, ever composed and elegant, held out his hand to her, his crimson eyes gentle, a small smile playing on his lips. It was rare to see him so at ease, the weight of the world lifted from his shoulders, even if just for this moment. Without a word, she took his hand, the warmth of his touch grounding her, reminding her that this was real.

The music had long since faded, but it lingered in the back of your mind—a ghostly melody that guided your steps. Shu's movements were graceful, his every motion fluid as if he were born to dance. Y/N followed his lead, your steps matching his, the two of them moving in perfect harmony. There was no rush, no urgency—just the soft sway of their bodies, the silent conversation shared through every touch and glance.

The moonlight caressed Shu's pale hair, turning it into a halo that framed his serene expression. Y/N couldn't help but admire the way the light softened his features, making him seem almost ethereal. He caught you staring, and his smile widened just a fraction, his hand gently tightening around yours as if to say, 'I'm here'.

Shu: "You know..."

Shu began softly, his voice barely louder than a whisper

Shu: "I've never felt as at peace as I do right now."

Y/N looked up at him, his face so close to hers that she could see the way his eyes softened, the crimson hues reflecting the faint light.

Y/N: "Neither have I."

She glanced down to the glass floor, watching their synchronized dance moves.

Y/N: "It's like... everything else fades away when I'm with you."

Shu's lips curved into a gentle smile.

Shu: "You always have that effect on me."

He admitted, his tone laced with affection.

Shu: "No matter what's happening, when I'm with you, everything just... makes sense."

Y/N felt her heart flutter at his words, a warmth spreading through her chest.

Y/N"I'm glad to hear such praise from Shu Kurenai."

The couple chuckled as the Shu spun her around with one hand. Y/N's free hand coming up to rest lightly on his shoulder.

Y/N: "You also make me feel safe, Shu. Like no matter what happens, as long as you're with me, everything will be okay."

His grip on her waist tightened slightly, a silent promise.

Shu: "I'll always be with you, Y/N. And will always keep you safe as you have protecting me. I don't want you to ever doubt that."

There was a rare vulnerability in his voice, a sincerity that made her heart ache with how much Y/N cared for him. Y/N smiled at him.

Y/N: "I don't. I know you'll always be there, just like I'll always be there for you."

A comfortable silence settled between the two, the only sounds being the faint rustle of their clothes as they continued to sway together, and the distant chirping of crickets outside. After a moment, Shu spoke again, his voice laced with tenderness.

He leaned in closer, his forehead resting gently against hers.

He whispered, his breath warm against her skin. For a moment, the two of them just stood there, holding each other close, the moonlight casting a soft glow around them. It felt as if time had stopped, the world outside forgotten as they lost themselves in each other. Y/N's voice broke the silence once more, her tone playful yet filled with affection.

Y/N: "You know, if anyone walked in on us right now, they might think we've gone a little crazy, dancing in an empty ballroom like this."

Shu chuckled softly, the sound light and filled with joy.

Shu: "Let them think what they want."

He brushed a hand, grazed against her cheek.

Shu: "As long as I'm with you, I don't care what anyone else thinks."

His laughter joined Y/N's, the sound warm and genuine.

Shu: "You always know how to make me smile."

He said, his eyes crinkling at the corners in that way you loved so much.

Y/N: "And you always know how to make me feel loved."

Shu's expression softened, and he pressed a tender kiss to your forehead.

Shu: "That's because you are loved."

He murmured, his lips brushing against your skin.

Shu: "More than you'll ever know."

Y/N closed her eyes, savoring the moment, the feeling of being so completely cherished by someone she loved with all her heart. As she opened her eyes again, she found Shu watching her, his gaze filled with so much warmth and adoration that it took her breath away. She hugged him tightly as she trusted Shu to guide them.

Y/N: "I love you, Shu."

Y/N whispered, the words carrying all the weight of your feelings.

Shu: "I love you too, Y/N."

Shu replied, his voice steady and sure.
