Miyeong groaned when she woke up on Saturday morning. She found herself in her cousin's bed and sat upright, hugging her knees and hiding her face behind them. The pain of the past was ripping on her insides like always when she woke up sober or came down from a high. Minyoung hated herself for ruining her body and soul like that but she felt horrible for everything she had done in the past. And she couldn't seem to stop hurting people after getting hurt so badly.

"At least I wasn't hurt like Mina.", she would always say and regret the times she let a boy hurt the girl that was her best friend. Whenever Minyoung remembered those days a pang would go through Minyoung's body when she saw Mina or thought about their shared past.

They wanted to open a trot band when they were only eleven. They sang and danced every day and grew up like that. Seo Mina and Lee Minyoung were inseparable. When they got older they changed the concept of a trot band to a cover band that would perform on birthdays and other parties for little money.

With Mina being a fantastic singer, guitarist and pianist and Minyoung being a wonderful bassist and drummer they were the perfect duo. They had the skill, the talent and the visual. And they would've made it to something if Kim Doyoung didn't enter their life in their first year of Highschool.

With only fifteen years Mina and Minyoung were more children than adults and they were dumb and clueless. They didn't know what life was, what love was.

Minyoung held her chest when the memory of their Oppa clouded her mind and made her breathing go heavy. She wondered if Mina felt the same way when she thought about Doyoung. The oh-so-nice Oppa they both had loved to pieces.

Kim Doyoung was beautiful. A pale face with distinctive features and a beautiful toothy smile that made girl's hearts beat at least ten times faster. Mina would go so far to call him ethereal. When the girls first laid their eyes on the two years older guy they knew that at least one of them would fall madly for him.

Minyoung realized soon that Mina had the hots for the Oppa so she tried to calm down her own heart whenever she could. Minyoung knew that Mina was a perfect match for the Oppa. She was open-minded and not too shy to talk to him in the caféteria or the library, while Minyoung stayed in the back and watch Mina flirt with her pretty doe eyes and the cute smile.

Minyoung was rooting for Mina. She wanted Mina to gain confidence and confess to Doyoung when one-night Doyoung accidentally bumped into Minyoung and Seungcheol while they were shopping in Hongdae. Doyoung recognized Minyoung immediately and started flirting with her, right here and there.

And Minyoung wanted to stop. Minyoung seriously wanted to stop because of Mina. She knew how much Mina loved Doyoung but yet here she was; secretly meeting Doyoung in her recess time when she was appointed to practice with Mina for the Song Contest at the end of the year. An annual thing Mina wanted to attend ever since hearing of it.

Mina had written a beautiful confession song, with the help of Minyoung, and wanted to perform it with a dedication for Doyoung. Mina didn't even realize how her best friend was betraying her. And Minyoung felt horrible for doing so.

A day before the Song Contest she went to Doyoung to break things off when she found him kissing a classmate of his. Her eyes widened for a second a pang in her chest, but her first thought was 'how must Mina feel?'. Without confronting Doyoung she went to report his wrong-doings to Mina who was busy preparing for the song contest.

"Mina!" Minyoung had said and felt yet another stab in her heart when she saw the doe-eyed lass smiling dearly at her. Minyoung gulped and clenched her uniform over her chest. "Doyoung's not interested in you!" She blurted out and Mina winced. "W-What are you saying?" The brown haired girl said in disbelief and looked at her best friend. "I saw him kissing some other girl. A Unnie. He is not interested in you-"

"Minyoung! Why are you being like this?"

Shocked over Mina's tantrum Minyoung froze in her spot and watched her best friend started to cry. Minyoung wanted to apologize and scream out how bad she felt for doing so when the door of their practice room opened and Doyoung entered, a wonderful smile on his face.

His smile faded when he saw Mina standing there in tears. "Mina-yah, are you alright?" He asked and went over to the fifteen-year-old girl without glancing to Minyoung once. Minyoung just watched Doyoung hug her and rub her arms. "Are you nervous-"

"How dare you treat her like that!" Minyoung suddenly yelled out and threw her shoe at the older boy. Doyoung cocked an eyebrow. "I don't know what you mean Minjae?" He asked and that was when Minyoung cracked. Never in her fifteen-year-old life had anyone called her by the wrong name, a habit Minyoung would take over in the future.

"You're a liar! A stupid heartbreaker!" She screamed and Doyoung let go off Mina and looked at Minyoung. Mina was surprised at how sassy Minyoung snapped at Doyoung. "What do you mean, Minyoung?" She asked, a lump building in her throat.

"He was secretly meeting with me!" Minyoung screamed and broke out in tears. "He was kissing me and kissing that other girl and now he wanted to do that with you!" She screamed hysterically and Mina froze and looked at Doyoung, her heart-shattering in her chest. "O-Oppa?" She asked and Doyoung simply shrugged.

"You asshole!" Mina said and started hitting Doyoung with her guitar. "Why'd you do that when you know I have a crush one you!" She kept hitting him with her guitar until she suddenly banged his head and blood started to drip down from the cut on his forehead.

"Ya! You are both maniacs!" Doyoung yelled and pushed Mina off him. He then turned to Minyoung and kicked her shin. "You weren't even cute. I was just bored." He said evilly and left. Mina looked at the guitar in her hands and dropped it before looking over to Minyoung. "It's all your fault," Mina whispered and crawled over to Minyoung who was still crying and holding her shin.

"It's all your fault, Minyoung! If you wouldn't have secretly dated him none of this would have happened!" Mina screamed and pulled at Minyoung's hair. "Ya! Mina! I felt horrible-ouch! I wanted to stop because you loved him so much. But I loved him as well!" Minyoung screamed. "You claimed him all for yourself, Mina!" Minyoung screamed.

"Everyone likes you! You're pretty, popular, smart and I am just your little minion! I'm tired of being this!" Minyoung screamed and slapped Mina's cheek. "I hate you, Seo Mina! I hate you so so much!" Minyoung had stood up. "It's all your fault for hitting Oppa so hard he left both of us!"

"You're being delusional, Minyoung!" Mina said and stood up, trying to hold Minyoung's wrist. "We're both in shock right now. Let's talk this out tomorrow-" Minyoung forcefully took her hand out of Mina's grip. "It's all your fault I didn't stand a chance with Doyoung in the first place!" Minyoung sighed and turned around leaving Mina behind.

It was no wonder Mina never attended that Song Contest. And it was no wonder that both girls got suspended for a week for hurting Kim Doyoung. When Doyoung had graduated the girl had met for the last time. They talked out what had happened and why everyone reacted the way they did. But they changed too much to become best friends again. Minyoung started to date younger and older boys just to fill out the hole in her heart that had once belonged to Mina and Doyoung.

And as far as Minyoung knew, Mina was still submerged in Music. From time to time Minyoung would check out Mina's live streams and listen to her songs, but whenever she had to see her pain, fear, and anger swell up inside her for ruining her chance with Doyoung.

And sadly Minyoung knew that she was the cause of ruining Mina's chance with Doyoung.

Mina had offered Minyoung countless peace offerings over the time. But with Minyoung ignoring all of them Mina got tired of trying and so they ended up as arch enemies. To this day Minyoung still missed Mina as her best friend; a secret she never told anyone.

The student clenched the fabric of her shirt while thinking of Mina when her mind drifted to Donghyuck. She sighed. "He probably got home somehow." She said and couldn't care less. Why was she dating him anyways? She felt bad for dragging Donghyuck into all these bad things and using his crush on her to make her feel better just because she was lonely. But she was ruining him like how she ruined herself and Mina back when there was Kim Doyoung in their lives.

"You're awake."

Minyoung looked up to see her cousin Seungcheol standing in the doorframe. "Are you okay? You smoked quite a bit yesterday." The older one said and Minyoung shook her head. "I'm regretting."

"Smoking?"

"No. I regret leaving my best friend like this when I should've fought for our friendship. It wasn't only her fault. It was her fault, my fault and especially Kim Doyoung's fault that we drifted away." Minyoung simply stated before breaking out in tears.
