It was a gloomy and rainy day outside in the forest. A certain small, golden haired boy was seen in the forest. He was scared out of his mind. His legs and hands were trembling, and he felt like he was gonna pass out. He looked down. A flooding river was rushing under his feet. If he fell in, he would never be able to get out! He was only five and it would sweep him away before he would even know what was going on! 

"I'm alright...I'm...okay...I'm just here...to look for Jirou...be brave, Denki...." The boy, Denki, thought. He was standing on some rotten train tracks that could barely even hold him. 

"Why did I do this? I'm so stupid! Just like Kyoka-san says, I'm stupid," He thought, "But this is my chance to prove to Jirou-san...that I'm just as brave as her!" 

He suddenly heard a creak under his foot. Denki's heart sank down to his stomach but his fear sky-rocketed all the way up to the canopy trees overhead.

"Should I run? Should I yell for Jirou?!" His mouth reacted before he could do anything

"Jirou-san!" Denki yelled out, almost in tears. "Jirou-san!" He called out again, even though he just said it. "Kyoka-sa-" 

"I'm right here, Pikachu." She said with a straight face. Denki looked up to the girl standing in front of him, who was without fear. "Jirou-san!" Denki said and went to hug her. She just stood there and let him hug her. "Yeah. Get off me." She scolded. He immediately got off of her and grinned goofily. 

"I was so scared!" He exclaimed. 
"Come on." Jirou sighed, holding the palm of her hand out so he could grab onto it for support. He hesitantly grabbed onto her palm and all his fears went away. 

Kyoka grinned at him and said, "Don't be scared, Denki. I'm here." Denki blushed and looked away. "I-...I wasn't! I was fine! Perfectly fine! Maybe, even more than fine! Perfect!" He said proudly, trying his hardest to sound brave. 

Kyoka started laughing like crazy. Tears were starting to form in her eyes as she laughed. "What!" Denki yelled. "I was brave!"

Kyoka eventually calmed down and said, "You yelled for me when the train tracks creaked from me walking on them! That's not brave at all, Pikachu!" She started laughing again. 

Denki blushed a small bit. "I was very brave, so stop! And my name is Denki Kaminari!" He yelled. "Yeah yeah," She calmed down, "Let's go." 

And they walked hand-in-hand all the way home.
