-born in Preston, England, Odette is third child from the noble Montgomery household. She is the second child of the Earl of Montgomery, Franklin White Montgomery and duchess Vanessa Silver Montgomery. She has an elder brother, Daniel River Montgomery who is three years older than her. Odette was a cheerful and active child ever since she was born. She loved to spend time with her parents and going out. She has been given lot of attention by her parents througout her childhood that spoiled her to no end. She's demanding and loves attention of people she loves and cares for. She grew up hearing stories of princesses and princes with perfect ending all through her childhood by her governess which gave her a really creative imagination. Everything was in her childhood was perfect and she used to think that she was a princess living in her castle until one day her brother shattered her dream, telling her the opposite. Odette obviously didn't have any understanding of the noble titles and hierarchy when she was just eight years old and his brothers harsh words had left her sad. She stopped listening to the stories of princes and princesses, thinking they were overrated and focused on developing other hobbies.

This led to her learning piano and ice skating. Odette was the closest to her mother since her breath and shares everything about her with the woman. Her mother is the most beautiful, amazing and talented woman to ever exist in her opinion and she enjoys her company. When odette was sixteen years old, she found out that she wasn't her mother's daughter but rather her father's illegitimate child. This strained her relationship with her mother when she started to wonder why the woman had been so good to her all her life when she wasn't even her real mother? Odette wasn't close to her father and with her mother not being her mother, she grew apart from her parents. This left her elder brother to be the only one who she could tolerate and be around. She started talking to him more and found out that his brother was always hesitant to treat her like a sister because they don't share the same mother. Odette understood that and she didn't force Daniel to be anything that he didn't want to be. He instead decided to be her friend and she has been living that way.

Odette found herself the loneliest and anxious with no parents by her side and no siblings. She was spending the most time alone right after she turned sixteen. She didn't know who to talk to about herself and she became the kind of person who never talks about themselves. She became extremely sarcastic and grew several issues, with authority issues being on top. She found it difficult to follow rules which often stirred trouble in their household.
It was her seventeenth birthday when she accidentally set the living room on fire and was caught up in it. She was saved by her father at the time but the man serverly burned her arm while saving her and it left burn marks all over his arm even after it healed completely. Odette tried to control her reckless ways ever since, blaming herself for what happened to her father. She wanted to do better with her life and she decided to fix herself. She made a plan, deciding to find her biological mother first and talk to her. She wanted to find out why the woman left her and never came to look for her. She was told by her parents a million times to not look for the woman but she was determined and she didn't listen to them. She ran away from her house with just enough money to last her for her search of her mother.

She only had a picture of her mother that she stole from her father's journal and it helped her find the woman. It took her two months and living in cheap hotels here and there before she found her mother...well she found a grave with her mother's name, Odette Ophelia Sutton and she found a story. Her biological mother had died in a hospital fire eight years ago where she was giving birth to another baby...of another man who also died in the fire. Her mother had gave birth to her and sold her to her father for money. She was living a happy married life without a care of her and that was the only truth that she learned from her little adventure. It broke Odette completely. She was spiraling for long and she refused all sorts of helps but she stood up on her feet again after six months or so, deciding to not live in the past and do her best with her future ahead.
