"You sure you don't want to come with me?" Lila asked Victoria. The red-head twirled her staff, as she looked up to her. "Positive. Besides, we both know that the guy with knives won't handle a day." "Diego. His name is Diego." Lila corrected. "Whatever! Anyway, the whole rockstar life was boring me." She scoffed. "What doesn't bore you?" Lila sarcastically questioned. Victoria flicked her on the shoulder with a glare. From their agreement with Stanley, Lila was dropping them off at some random hotel that the Umbrellas had been staying at; Hotel Obsidian. With this, Stanley was facading as Lila and Diego's son, and Victoria would be staying to overlook him, playing as an aunt. However, it was of Victoria looking for some form of entertainment rather than watching sexual-drug influenced encounters, and having her ears bleed every night.Β

Footsteps could be heard approaching, to which Lila pushed Victoria behind her. She stood in front; concealing the red-head and preteen. "Hello, lover." Lila said once the sound came to a pause. Victoria knew who this was; there was only one person that she knew Lila referred to in a romantic interest. "Holy shit. You really came back." Diego stated. "You miss me already? That's too bad." Victoria had to place her hand around her mouth to hold in a snicker. "I'm not here to stick around. I'm just doing a quick little drop-off."

"Of what?"

"Our son, Stanley. Oh, and, my sister too."

Diego stared at the two with shock. He had recognised Victoria, given their previous encounter at the farmhouse. They never really fought together, but he had seen her leave with Lila. "Say hello, Stanley!" Lila wacked the boy's shoulder. "Hello, Stanley." Stanley replied, sarcastically; making Victoria cross her arms and chuckle. "That's my boy." She stated. The two locked eyes and shared a small fist bump, before she put her arm around Stanley. "Hey, wait a minute! You're the redhead from the farmhouse." Diego pointed a finger at her. "And you're looking at round two if you don't shut up, Banderas." Lila laughed at her comment, before picking up the briefcase and starting to walk away.

Diego ran after her, pausing her before she could enter the elevator. "This is a joke, right?" He questioned. "That your boys can swim fast? Yeah, jokes on me there. I've had Stan for twelve years." Lila responded with a scoff. Victoria and Stanley turned around to watch the two converse. She still continued to twirl her staff. "So, why is she here?" Diego pointed at Victoria again. "To overlook you, of course." Lila answered. "Oh, and," She went to cup his face. "be careful with her. She is quite a ferocious beast. If you mess up a single thing, she'll happily slit your throat." Diego eyed the red-head with concern, who was still twirling her staff and putting on a bright smile.

"Have fun bonding. Be good for Mummy, and I'm not responsible for whatever Tori does!" Lila said to the duo, before entering the elevator and she was gone. Diego looked straight to the preteen and red-head, who were staring him right down. "Okay, cara de mierda, let's see how long you last. Task one, get him some food." Victoria spat at him. As he watched the anger in her eyes increase, something told Diego that he was not going to like any of this one bit.

The next morning, Victoria sorted herself out. She zipped up her boots, then made her way to the elevator. Stanley had already made his way down to breakfast. She went to the elevator, and pressed the bottom floor button. Victoria crossed her arms and leaned against the wall, shutting her eyes. As they shut, she could hear Herb's voice in her head.

'Everything about you...could change'

'no one is safe; even those you, deep down, care for'

'Create someone unpredictable'

Ever since the incident that caused her current state, Victoria had tried her best to control her anger. She had even started to wear finger less gloves all the time, even during the hottest days of the year. The red-head didn't have a tight grip on her rage, but didn't want to see the green cracks on her skin that formed because of it. All she wanted was to conceal that ugly aspect about herself. She didn't dare to let anyone else know; Lila was the only one who knew about it. Victoria wanted nothing more than to hide the monster inside of her.Β

The elevator stopped and a ding sounded; her eyes opening. She regained composure, and went down to the breakfast bar. Victoria didn't know what it was but something about this place rubbed her the wrong way. As she came down, she saw several of the residents looking right at her. The red-head only gave sneers back at them. When walking past the bar, someone who waited for his orange juice caught the faint whiff of Victoria's scent. Her red hair gave off the smell of the freshest roses in bloom. If you came near her, you'd feel a chill go up your spine. That's exactly what Five Hargreeves felt.Β

He turned to see her approach a booth, before blinking his eyes a few times and walking back to his family. "It couldn't be her..." He thought. After all, Victoria was supposed to be stationed at the Commission. Why would she be in the same universe as him and his siblings? He must've been hallucinating, perhaps it was a relative of his supposed-nephew.Β

Stanley caught sight of his "aunt" and held out a plate to her. "Did you get your food?" She asked him. "Snagged you a plate as well, Auntie Vic." Victoria took the plate from him, sitting down and started to eat her food. From the table not too far away from the duo, a brunette caught sight of the red-head with shock in her eyes. She couldn't believe that her ex-best friend was sitting in the hotel, right now. Just last night, Dusk was wondering if she was doing alright after teleporting away with Lila and now here she was, right in front of her eyes.

Dusk Hargreeves and Victoria Wilson had built a close connection, during which she and Lila were stationed in the 60's to investigate the supernatural family. Victoria would be lying if she said that Dusk wasn't bearable; aside from Lila, she was the only other person that showed her loyalty and care. Well, that was until the two reunited at the farmhouse and her true identity was revealed to her. That, of course, ignited the phoenix in her. Instead of hearing her out, considering Victoria actually wanted to help the misfits since she was sick of The Handler's actions, Dusk nearly tried to burn the red-head to a crisp. Just like Herbs', Dusk's final words continued to sting in her mind every day.

"I'm still the same Victoria you met. We're best friends, remember?" She whispered, placing a hand on Dusk's shoulder. Dusk looked up, meeting the redhead's brown eyes. "No, we're not! Best friends don't lie to each other..." She responded coldly.

"Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to save my family. Mark my words, I will NEVER speak to you again for the rest of my fucking life."Β

Victoria had decided to not let her hatred influence her. In the Temps, the red-head was famous for a lot of things, but drowning in hate was not one of them.Β

"Well, she godamn better be, because we got more important things to be dealing with right now!"

Β Diego's shouts brought her back. She looked over to him sending a dirty look at them, to which she just flipped him off with a sarcastic smirk. If the red-head was going to put him in his place, she would've gone bigger, but the last thing she needed was attention at this moment.

"Victoria, what's the real reason why you're here?" Stanley questioned, making the red-head come out of her gaze. She hummed as if she didn't know what he meant by that. "I mean, it's not like you to leave her side." Stanley explained as he referred to Lila. It was true; Victoria was always at Lila's side, whether defending or protecting. Lila sometimes viewed Victoria as the mother she always wanted, no offence to The Handler. "Look, all I wanted was a change of scenery. I, at least, woke up to no weed scent this morning." Victoria bit back. Stanley observed her expression, but simply went back to eating. All the red-head was here for, is to carry out Lila's plan. After all, Lila wasn't the only one that wanted revenge on the Umbrella crew.Β
