𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 | vincent, though formerly intelligent and organized, is now a wild spirit. he throws himself into the pleasures of the world without a single thought (ha! not a single thought─) about the consequences later on. in his condition he is a dead man, so it's either drown in an all time high or rid himself from this new earth. whenever vincent's sober he's an absolute wreck, tortured by a never ending nightmare. when he's drugged up and filled with magical liquid he's surprisingly more calm, with a serpent-like sort of charm and an eased, focused mind. before his incident, vincent was a highly knowledgeable man with a gift in academics and an incredible thought process. it's a shame all of that was put to waste.

𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐧 | norway
𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 | corvinus wasn't the only one messing around with other-worldly ideas in the past era. while corvinus was thriving off his fame for discovering the secret to immortality, other people of great knowledge were searching for the answers to things such as time travel, mind control, and even how to ascend into a god themselves. some knowledgeable scientists in norway have been conducting an experiment for decades meant to try and insert all the knowledge in the world into a man's brain within seconds. vincent, who was a child prodigy in academics and sciences, joined the project when he was seventeen. during this time, the past scientists had supposedly gotten close; they thought they had the right formula, but whenever they tested it (all the tests on much older men) the man would simply die from the overload of information (as his brain would overheat and shut down). dedicated to his profession and this project, vincent offered himself as a test subject when he was ninteen, considering he was much younger and had a healthier brain. the transition unfortunately failed; vincent's brain couldn't handle all the information at once. because he was young his brain didn't shut down completely (meaning he still lived) but it was enough to drive him insane. the thoughts in his head were uncontrollable, deteriorating his very being. the scientists kept him alive for observations, and eventually gave him drugs to give to vincent to ease the flow of his thoughts. after that, vincent became addicted to drugs and alcohol, as it was the only way to stop the nightmare in his head. they let him go off when he was twenty-three, and he's been a nobody partying in norway until corvinus found him.

𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 | vincent was shocked, honestly. he nearly didn't accept, but after a few more drinks and mulling it over he decided to participate in the six months. he isn't going to try fall in love or achieve immortality (he doesn't want to spend an eternity stuck in this nightmare), but rather because he knows corvinus is a smart man, and might be able to find a cure for his constant overload of information.
𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 | before the experiment, vincent was fascinated with the arcadia corporation. it was in his aspirations to work for the arcadia corporation one day (and perhaps pry enough to find the secret to immortality; he was dying to know the formula or ritual, or whatever it was that corvinus did to invent immortality). now vincent couldn't give two fucks about the arcadia corporation.
