Rina is a tan-skinned woman of above average height. Due to being half albino (from her father's side), Rina has narrow red eyes with long, defined white eye lashes and long white hair reaching to thigh length with bangs that extend to the left of her face. She has triple cartilage piercings in both of her ears and an eyebrow piercing on her left brow and a nose piercing on her right nostril, she always removes them during practice or coaching.

While slender and curvaceous in frame, she also sports a lean, athletic and well/defined build, especially in her arms and legs. She is very muscular and it often quoted others but her body holds an aura of not only strength but elegance as well.

She has a few small scars in her childhood due to being an athletic child but one prominent scar she possesses is that of which was caused from an incident in her earlier twenties, an acid burn that extends from her shoulder to her upper arm with some splotches on her hand, all from the right arm. She covered this scar with a tattoo four years later.

In high school, Rina's hair was waist length and always in a low or high ponytail. Her frame was less muscular and more slender but she still had a strong frame due to being very athletic, however she still looked the same.

In the post time-skip, she still looks the same but after giving birth to her and Keishin's biological daughter Shiraha, she gained weight for sometime but her muscular frame had returned after sometime.

Rina is a tough and powerful individual, known to be one who always speaks her mind, even if it causes confrontation and she respects those who do the same. Rina while one who is independent and relies a lot on herself and her own strength, inside the volleyball court she knows that team work is important as well as honing and practicing on their own.

As a volleyball player, she is shown to be very fearless and bodacious on the court, while as a coach she takes her job seriously in helping my her students grow to their full potential and into the best players they can be. She is always out on the lookout for scouts for the France's Youth Volleyball teams and when she sees a person whose talent and hard work is good, she will say it.

She has shown to love traveling around the world, she also enjoys a challenge, even facing them with a big grin, no matter how tough; as she often quotes them as "trivial matters" and will gladly do them, if they are normal or underwhelming she will do them but will get it over and done with. Rina is often one to be described as an adrenaline junky and is always seeking a new thrill of adventure.

Rina has shown to never back down, no matter what. Even when her team is on the losing side, even when her back is against the wall, she will give it her all and she will never stop until her goal is complete. She states herself that she wants to take everyday life at its fullest with no regrets. Her great devotion, hard work and optimistic personality has been earned not only by her teammates from previous teams and her students but also the whole of the media and her own fans, who call her the "Rabbit Of The Court".

Despite her brash and sometimes even scary demeanor, Rina isn't above assisting and helping others. She is also shown to be very caring towards her students and her adoptive daughters. When she adopted them and took them under her care without hesitation, she admitted that it was a bit of a challenge to raise two pre-teen girls and one year old baby but when she got to know them better, she started to love them as if they were her own kin. Her care even goes as deep as feeling angry for them when Erika told them about her father and stepmother, and tells her that tragic day was not her fault.

Despite someone not appearing maternal, Rina shows herself to be a very caring mother figure to her adoptive daughters and shows her love for them in her own way. For Erika, it was practicing volleyball, helping her get into modeling and recovering from the grief, for Etsuko it was traveling to visit the Wizarding Word with her and Kameko, as well as listening to all three girls hyperfixafions and interests.

Rina shows herself to be a good listener to those who need it, she also knows how to help others release their pain and anger and allows them to do activities to do so. She shares the anger of her daughters and her students on their behalf for their pain and agony caused in the past and will help them in the present to go into a brighter future.

While sometimes she can argue with others inside and outside of the court, she shows herself to be a good team player as she will cooperate, even with the person she is arguing with.

Rina is capable of enduring many challenges, even if she is in extreme pain whether it would be due to injuries and illnesses without losing focus. While she may be reckless and also can leap before looking, she is pragmatic, quick thinking and witty both on and off of the court. She states that even with prosthetic limbs, she would even continue volleyball no matter what.

It was revealed that in her childhood, she was known to be an athletic hooligan, a little girl who always loved playing outside and looked up superhero woman she read about in mangas and videogames but also loved watching sports, but while she was sometimes insecure about her albinism, her parents helped her through it and they helped her embrace it. Unfortunately, after she became less energetic due to a sudden stroke of illness and having frequent hospital visits, Rina never gave up who she wanted to be. She drew herself as a superhero often and always tried to stay as active as possible. On the day she heard the doctor say that there was a possibility of her being diagnosed with Leukemia, it almost tore her world apart.

Rina didn't give up, she believed that she could get through it and all it would take was just a little bit of time being active and just looking on the brighter side. When it was revealed that she didn't have Leukemia, but rather monocytic ehrlichiosis which was a relief for the family. Rina cried for days in relief and during her recovery, she left the hospital with a big grin and became who she wanted to be.

In high school, Rina was known to be very brash and confident, she would get into fights with others and have debates if needed; but due to her beauty she was often fawned by others, one particular person who was in love with her was Keishin Ukai, who was her senpai. In the volleyball team, she was known to be their strongest player and when she graduated, she had shown to mature more and after her success, she always aimed to be the best version of herself; vowing to never back down from a challenge.

For a majority of her life and mainly in her childhood, Rina was known to be an athletic and energetic child. She was always very playful and positive, despite her mother always being a working hospital doctor and her father being a successful CEO who was always overseas for his job, Rina loved her parents and looked up to the both of them greatly despite them not always being around, especially her mother. In school, she was a child who always valued being outside and playing around more than being inside and other kids liked being her friends due to how friendly and playful she was.

Her parents taught her how to love herself , especially her blasian heritage and being half albino (that was mainly common on her fathers side of the family) and she learned to accept her appearance because of them.

However at the age of nine, Rina eventually started to become less energetic and more lethargic, eventually becoming more sickly and frail. Her parents admitted her to the hospital after several visits, this caused Rina to have a life altering event where she learnt about the possibility of having Leukemia. This possible reality left her and her parents shaken, this almost completely changed her view of the world and herself as well.

Despite the doctors saying it was a strong chance of Leukemia, Rina didn't give up, watching TV of superhero movies and shows on the screen and of volleyball matches, she started to look up to the women in volleyball matches and many sport tournaments, and the strong female characters that she watched on TV. Even being given the chance to play videogames here and there in the hospital, she often fantasized about becoming a superhero who could do anything.

Rina kept up her positivity and having a feeling that it was not leukemia, despite her doctors and parents suggesting she take it easy and stay away from being too active for the mean time, Rina spent time outside as much as possible and did what she could to play outside without doing much harm to herself.

A few weeks later, it was revealed that it was never Leukemia but rather it was monocytic ehrlichiosis, a tick-borne disease that was caused by a tick bite when she was playing outside in her garden. The relief for Rina herself and her family caused them to cry, it took Rina a few days to recover in the hospital and when she left, she wore the biggest grin and was the happiest girl you could ever meet but her journey didn't end there, she would become the person she wanted to be with due time.

When she was in middle school, she was known for her hooligan and wild behavior, constantly starting trouble by infiltrating fight clubs and even joining the fights. This caused her to get expelled from her school and this caused arguments in her family about her future, when she reached her high school years in Karasuno, she used her time and energy on sports as she didn't want to disappoint her family anymore.

She gained attention from the students at Karasuno High School for her beauty and her extremely athletic abilities. She was known to be very confident and brash, she would get into fights with others and have debates if needed. She eventually earned her title as "Karasuno's Symbol Of Strength", she even became friends with the "Tiny Giant"; but there as one particular person she fell in love with eventually but never confessed her feelings towards, Keishin Ukai, who was her senpai. In the her volleyball team, she was known to be their strongest player and when she graduated, she had shown to mature more and after her success, she always aimed to be the best version of herself; vowing to never back down from a challenge.

After graduation, she took an opportunity to go abroad to France to become a professional volleyball player and also took modeling gigs of high fashion brands. She became even bigger in her name and her success was becoming greater, she found herself surrounded by sports and other kinds of celebrities who were either her friends or enemies and some people in other careers who also wanted to be her friends, either for Rina herself or for her career.

At one point in her career, she had a boyfriend who was only with her for her success and a person she believed was a close friend, she was betrayed by the both of them. Due to the friend being extremely jealous of her, an argument was caused and the friend poured acid on all on Rina's right arm. This caused to need another hospital visit, where the friend abandoned her as well as her boyfriend. This put Rina in a very dark place for a very long time and eventually she started to bury herself in work to numb the pain, which only left her more exhausted, angry and violent towards others. However, taking therapy and taking time to reflect, Rina started to heal from the betrayal and started to move on in a healthy way.

During a break from her career, she was outside in disguise and spotted young Erika playing volleyball in the park. The talent and potential in the little girl caused her to be impressed, Rina got the chance to talk to the little girl and had a chance to know her better. Finding out about her situation with her sisters, Rina took her and her sisters in. This caused a life changing event for not only the sisters herself but Rina too in raising the girls as her own, she had challenges in taking care of a year old baby as well as two grieving pre-teen girls but the girls got the chance to heal and live a healthy family life.

Rina continues to mentor and help Erika even through her knee injury, giving her guidance and allowing her to go at her own pace while becoming the best mom she can be for her, Etsuko and Kameko as well.
