The Isle of the Lost, a place of misfits and villains. Most were simply people who had worked for the true villains and were punished alongside them but either way, they were trapped into a life of poverty surrounded by theives and criminals. It wasn't a pretty place to be, the barrier creating an endless gloom and doom aura to the place. However, on the Isle were four teenagers who practically ruled the place, like it was nothing but their playground. The four of them were loyal to no one but each other, standing by one another through the toughest moments and comforting them after every encounter with their respective parents who weren't the most supportive ─ or not supportive at all.

Mal, daughter of Maleficent was the leader of the Rotten to the Core Four. Mal has dark purple hair with highlights of a lighter shade of purple that reaches a little bit over her shoulders. With green eyes and standing at the height of 5'2, Mal is often seen wearing an artfully constructed purple biker jacket with a dash of pink on one sleeve and green on the other, a pair of purple jeans and battered combat boots matched to her fingerless gloves. She also has a dragon-shaped mark on her arm, a symbol of Maleficent herself. Mal is a sneaky, smart and sometimes ruthless teenager who is clearly a natural born leader and a skilled artist; a perfect leader for the VKs.

Her best friend is Evie, daughter of Evil Queen. Evie has lush dark ocean blue hair that falls from her forehead in a striking widow's peak. With brown eyes and standing a little taller than Mal, Evie is often seen wearing a heart-shaped ruby necklace, a dark blue cape paired with her printed leather skirt with spiderweb leggings and black combat boots; And of course, her golden, red-gemmed tiara. Evie was clearly described as the fairest of them all on the Isle of the Lost. She is a flirty, intelligent and very kind teenager with a desire for the throne and constantly chasing after her mother's approval.

Alongside the two girls was the muscle known as Jay, son of Jafar. Jay has long brown hair with sculptured muscles that wouldn't usually be found on a teenage boy. With dark brown eyes and a personality that could charm almost anyone. He wears a yellow and maroon sleeveless jacket with a shade of dark blue jeans, black boots and a red beanie. Jay is sneaky, confident and a thief constantly on the search for the lamp that would reveal a genie. Though he tended to have a short temper, he could flirt and charm his way out of most confrontations. However, he wishes to gain his father's respect by finding the genie's lamp hoping that it will finally make his father proud of him.

Jay's best friend is Carlos, son of Cruella De Vil and the final member of their VK crew. Carlos has a pale complexion with freckles painted across his skin and white hair with black roots. Carlos was often seen wearing a black shirt with streaks of white. He wore a jacket of long red sleeves, the right side was white while the left side was black and the collar was made of fake fur; the back even had his own crest of crossed bones. His shorts repeated the same black and white pattern as his jacket and his accessories were a piece of fake fur on his right hip that resembled a black tail with a white tip along with some red fingerless gloves. He was a follower, typically listening to whatever his mother demands while being scared of dogs.

The Core Four VKs were feared on the Isle of the Lost, many avoided them as best as possible despite Evie and Carlos' kindness that was rare to see on the Isle as they knew Mal and Jay wouldn't be so kind. After causing havoc around the main quad of the Isle and the market itself, the four stopped in a small clearing where Mal stole a lollipop from a child making the villagers around them laugh at the act of evil while the baby cried. However, the villagers go silent and rush away as Maleficent approaches her daughter from behind watching with an uninterested expression on her face. "Hi, Mom," Mal greets as she turns around to face the woman who raised her ─ if you could call it that.

"Stealing candy, Mal? I'm so disappointed," Maleficent told her daughter. "It was from a baby," Mal replied in a sing-song tone. "That's my nasty little girl," Maleficent complimented as she takes the lollipop from her smiling daughter's outstretched hand. Maleficent spits on the lollipop before pushing it under her armpit to clean and dry it before holding it out to one of her henchmen, "Give it back to the dreadful creature." Mal looked at her mother in disbelief before whining, "Mom..." Maleficent sent her daughter a look, "It's the deets, Mal, that make the difference between mean and truly evil." Mal deflated hearing her mother's words, she was proud for a single second ─ a new record.

"When I was your age, I was cursing entire kingdoms," Maleficent spoke while Mal mocked the final three words causing her mother's wistful expression to drop into a narrowed glare. "You. Walk with me," Maleficent demanded her daughter, the two turned and walked away from the others while Maleficent continued, "See, I'm just... just trying to teach you the thing that really counts... how to be me." Mal nodded her head at her mother's words, "I know that. I'll do better." Maleficent nodded happy with the response before turning to look at all four of the teenagers. "Oh! There's news!" Maleficent expressed to the four, "You four have been chosen to go to a different school... In Auradon." Carlos, Jay and Evie tried to run away but Maleficent's henchmen stopped them.

"What?!" Mal exclaimed before adding, "I'm not going to some boarding school filled to the brim with prissy pink princesses!" Evie perked up at her best friends words before wistfully adding, "And perfect princes." Mal's deadpan caused Evie's smile to drop before saying, "Ew!" Mal nodded happy. "Yeah, and I don't do uniforms. Unless it's leather. You feel me?" Jay stated while holding his hand up for a high five from Carlos who nodded and did it. "I read somewhere that they allow dogs in Auradon. Mom said they're rabid pack animals who eat boys who don't behave," Carlos said fearfully, his eyes widened as he spoke. Jay snuck up behind his best friend, barking to scare Carlos who yelped then glared.

"Yeah, Mom, we're not going," Mal told her mother firmly, she really didn't want to go to this stupid school. "Oh, you're thinking small, pumpkin. It's all about world domination," Maleficent remarked. "Knuckleheads!" Maleficent ordered as she turned and began walking away, her henchmen trailing behind her. "Mal~," Maleficent sang out and the four teens were quick to follow after the villain into their home. "You will go. You will find Fairy Godmother and you will bring back the magic wand. Easy peasy," Maleficent instructed her daughter. "What's in it for us?" Mal asked on behalf of her and her friends. "Matching thrones. Hers-and-hers crowns," Maleficent replied directly to her daughter. "Um, I-I think she meant us," Carlos bravely spoke up pointing to himself, Evie and Jay.

Maleficent pulled Mal closer and they stepped away from the others, "It's all about you and me, baby. Do you enjoy watching innocent people suffer?" Mal sighed and nodded, "Well, yeah. I mean, who doesn't..." Maleficent looked directly at her daughter as she spoke, "Well, then get me the wand and you and I can see all that and so much more. And with that wand and my scepter, I will be able to bond both good and evil to my will!" Evil Queen looked over at her friend, "Our will." Maleficent waved her off, "Our will, our will. And if you refuse, you're grounded for the rest of your life, missy." Mal's jaw dropped at her mother's words, "What... Mom..." Maleficent squishes Mal's lips to make her stop complaining, the two stare at one another causing both of their eyes to turn green in a challenge.

Mal sighs in defeat, "Fine. Whatever." Maleficent grins happily, "I win." Mal scoffs before stepping to the side as Evie approaches her mother after being called over, Jay stands by his father and Carlos stands a short distance from his own mother. "Evie. My little Evil-lette in training. You just find yourself a prince with a big castle and a mother-in-law wing," Evil Queen told her daughter before the two said in unison, "And lots and lots of mirrors." Evie giggled but Evil Queen stopped her, "No laughing. Wrinkles." Cruella shook her head, "Well, they're not taking my Carlos... because I'd miss him too much." Carlos smiled softly in surprise hearing that, "Really, Mom?"

"Yes. Who would touch up my roots, fluff my fur and scrape the bunions off my feet?" Cruella asked making Carlos' smile drop to a frown. "Yeah, maybe a new school wouldn't be the worst thing," Carlos commented with a deflated tone. "Carlos, they have dogs in Auradon," Cruella reminded her son who immediately became panicked saying, "Oh, no! I'm not going!" Maleficent scoffed listening to the others around her. "Well, Jay isn't going either. I need hum to stock the shelves in my store," Jafar told the others before turning to his son, "What did you score?" Jay pulled out a bunch of items that he had stolen including a lamp that got Jafar excited until Jay told him he already tried leaving his father disappointed.

"Evie's not going anywhere until we get rid of this unibrow, hmm?" Evil Queen added as she looked at her daughter who gasped with a frown. "What is wrong with you all!?" Maleficent exclaimed to her Villainous friends, "People used to cower at the mention of our names! For twenty years, I have searched for a way off this island. For twenty years, they have robbed us from our revenge!" Maleficent stood by Evil Queen saying, "Revenge on Snow White and her horrible little men." Evil Queen sneered at the mention of her stepdaughter, she huffed in irritation while Evie thought of Snow Whites daughters wondering what they may be like. "Revenge on Aladdin and his bloated genie," Maleficent said to Jafar. "I will..." Jafar growled darkly.

"Revenge on every sneaky dalmatian that escaped your clutches," Maleficent directed at Cruella who smirked. "Oh, but they didn't get Baby. They didn't get the... They didn't get the Baby!" Cruella exclaimed madly. "And I, Maleficent... The evilest of them all. I will finally have my revenge on Sleeping Beauty and her relentless little Prince," Maleficent spoke with wide eyes, "Villains!" They all turned to her as she continued, "Our day has come. E.Q, give her the magic mirror." Evil Queen nodded before pulling out a small pocket sized mirror, holding it out to her daughter. "This is your magic mirror?" Evie asked in disgust. "Yeah, well, it ain't what it used to be, but then again, neither are we. It will help you find things," Evil Queen informed her daughter.

"Like a prince!" Evie exclaimed excitedly to her mother. "Like my waistline," Evil Queen commented. "Like the magic wand! Hello!" Maleficent remarked, Evil Queen nodding at her friend. "My spell book. My book. I need my... that book. Oh, ah! The safe. The safe," Maleficent had searched until she reached the refrigerator, her attention on the freezer part of the fridge. "Queen, help me. I never can figure this thing out," Maleficent stated, it was clear that she had grown up in the Moors with no technological advancements prior to the Isle. "Voila," Evil Queen spoke after opening the freezer allowing Maleficent to grab her spell book. "My spell... come, darling. Come," Maleficent beckoned her daughter over to her.

"It doesn't work here, but it will in Auradon," Maleficent advised her daughter before looking towards Evil Queen, "Remember? When we were spreading evil and ruining lives." Evil Queen smiled wistfully, "Like it was yesterday." Maleficent turned to Mal, "And now you will be making your own memories. By doing exactly as I tell you." Mal nodded at her mother's words. "Door," Maleficent called out, it was time for them to leave and go to Auradon. "Ooh! Let's get this party started!" Jay exclaimed with a smirk on his face. "Carlos! Come," Cruella beckoned her son. "Who is the fairest of them all?" Evil Queen asked her daughter. "Me," Evie answered. "Ah!" Evil Queen scolded. "You," Evie corrected with a frown.

The parents walked out with their children to see the Auradon limousine waiting for them, locals were looking at the vehicle in awe. "The future of the free world rests on your shoulders," Maleficent told her daughter before sternly saying, "Don't blow it." Mal was tense seeing the look in her mother's eyes, failure was not a possibility in this situation. Saying their farewells, the VKs climbed into the car though Mal stopped to look up at her mother, the woman sending her a look saying, 'don't screw this up' and Mal knew better than to anger her mother. She sat down next to Evie who turned to her, "You're looking a little washed out. Let me help you out." Mal brushed her off, "Ew, stop. I'm plotting."

Evie huffed, "Well, it's not very attractive." She continued eating some of the free candy that had been left for them. Carlos picked up an orange wrapper and removed it before shoving the food into his mouth, "Oh! These... it's salty like nuts but its sweet like I don't know what." Jay furrowed his brows, "Let me see." Carlos smirked before opening his mouth to show the food grossing Jay out causing the two to start brawling when Evie interrupted, "Look!" The four looked out the window to see the limousine driving towards the broken bridge that dropped straight into the ocean. "It's a trap!" Mal exclaimed and all four began screaming when suddenly the bridge formed, "What just happened?"

"It must be magic!" Evie proclaimed with a smile of awe. "Hey. Did this little button just open up the magic barrier?" Mal asked the driver referring to a small remote. "No, this one opens the magic barrier," The driver held up a golden button remote before adding, "That one opens my garage." He then smirked raising a hand to a button on the roof, "And this button..." The small window between the backseat and frontseat closed blocking them. "Okay. Nasty," Mal commented as she leaned back in her seat with a small smile, "I like that guy." Evie giggled hearing her say that while Jay and Carlos focused back on the candy bar trying everything and anything that was accessible. Mal was uncertain about this task but she couldn't let anyone down.

Rosemary Speaks. . .

And we get the Isle side of things...

I was debating whether or not to actually write out the songs but honestly, imma just feature the videos up the top; if you're here then you've seen the movies, it isn't really needed. I think the only songs that I'll actually write are ones like Be Our Guest or Set It Off. We'll see.

Anywho, how are we feeling 'bout the story?

It's crazy to realise that Evie and Snow White are stepsisters which makes Eloise, Evie's step-niece. Kind of cute for what I have planned as Evie is older than Eloise too.

Also, cheers to the wiki that helped with outfit descriptions as I struggled to use my brain at that part honestly lol
