The blonde narrowed her eyes as she examined the room she was currently following Kol in. She huffed out in annoyance as she easily recognized it as Kol's room. With the plain white bedsheets on a king bed, a big flatscreen tv on a dark wooden cabinet that held the many movies he had collected over the years, with an xbox and two controllers. He had the same color nightstand with a lamp, and then a matching wooden six shelve unit with his many v-necks and jeans.

Kol chuckles to himself as he switches from staring at his wooden floor to the blonde girl in front of him, and he did everything he possibly could to not sink right into a deep kiss there and then.

"Look, this is where I tried to teach you that one video game and you couldn't win no matter how hard you tried. Do you remember?"

"Kol, I give up! I cannot possibly do this," the blonde girl laughs to herself, tossing the black xbox controller to the left of her cross crossed legs.

She was currently sitting on Kol's, quite comfy, bed while he sat right next to her, only his longer legs were extended off the bed and hanging loosely. He was teaching her how to play black ops, zombies edition, but she couldn't get past round four.

"Love, maybe if you pressed xb rather than xy," Kol responded, looking at the girl with happiness glinting in his eyes as he was holding back his smirk.

"I tried it that way at round three, remember? I'm just crap at this game," Clara groaned, flailing her arms up as she fell backwards on the bed.

She laid on her back for a moment before turning to the side, moving her hand under her ear as she played around with Kol's bed comforter โ€” where a piece of string was loose so she wrapped it around her finger. She glanced up to Kol, who was staring deeply at the girl where she felt a blush creep on her rosy cheeks.

"What? Is there something on my face?" She asked, raising her available arm to bury her face in the crook of her elbow as she felt embarrassment crossing her face.

Kol grabs the girl hands, intertwining their fingers as he smiles at her brightly. "You're beautiful, that's all."

"Hardly," Clara scoffs, shoving the memory in the back of her brain. "I was terrible at that game, it was just a waste of time."

She moved herself so that she was now sitting on Kol's bed, her legs over the side as she placed both palms on the side of her thighs.

"Doesn't it make you feel something?" Kol inquired, placing himself close to Clara, right at the edge of her knees. He grips both her hands, holding them together as he glanced at her blue eyes. "Doesn't this make you feel something?"

"Maybe you haven't heard of it," Clara answered, snatching her hands right back of his grasp. "But no humanity means that I don't care about anything and I don't feel anything. You should just give up now."

"I won't give up on you," Kol responds immediately, not wasting a second to reply. "Ever."

"Then that's your mistake."

Clara pushed past Kol, shoving his right shoulder harshly as she tried to exit his room. But a hard tug on her wrist made her turn around, facing him once again.

"What about the night we watched all of those movies you never saw?"

"I can't believe you've never seen Titanic."

Clara rolled her blue eyes as a smile appeared on her face, and she jokingly shoved Kol. The two were side by side on the Mikaelson boy's bed, Clara cuddling him as she laid out on his chest, while he wrapped both arms around her shoulders.

"You've never seen it either," Clara retorts, pushing her index finger into the boy's chest. "So, I don't want to hear anything."

"But, love, I was on the Titanic, why would I watch a long movie of something I already experienced?" Kol responds, and Clara glances up from staring at the flatscreen, which had the opening scene on it, to Kol's eyes.

"What was it like?" Clara asked, looking at the boy with big eyes and her full attention.

This was her speciality, questioning about all of the adventures and experiences Kol's had. Now that she was a vampire, she'd be the one telling these stories in a century, and she loved listening to them. Kol's talked to her about different Christmas's and the many nightclubs he's been to all over the world and food of different cultures that'd make saliva flood her mouth and the people he's met.

"I met Rose, she was quite kind," Kol answers, and Clara gasps while smacking his chest gently.

"Really?"

"They're not real, love, it's just made up characters," Kol laughs a bit, and Clara rolled her bright blue eyes as she rose from Kol's grasp, folding her arms over her chest as she pouted. He stopped laughing, looking at the blonde with careful eyes. "Oh, c'mere baby."

"No, you were making fun of me," the girl pursed out her lips a little bit more, batting her eyelashes with her best puppy dog eyes.

"I'm sorry! God, you are utterly beautiful," Kol smiles at the girl, love in his eyes as he did so.

Clara let a smile cross her face as she felt a pink blush creep up on her cheeks, and she snuggled closer into the boy. She pushed her head into the crook of his neck, and her warm breathing on his skin made the boy squirm a bit. He moved his arm so it was wrapped around the blondes waist, resting gently on her upper thigh.

"You're lucky you're cute," Clara smirked, planting a kiss on Kol's lower jaw.

"I know."

"The main character died for love, which is just about as weak as one can get," Clara answered, swallowing hard as the memory resurfaced. "Look, good try with all this making me remember these adorable memories, but it's not going to work."

"I think it is, though."

Clara switched from glaring at the floor to Kol, but she didn't say anything. She only stared at him, and no matter what she wanted to say, he was right.

She didn't want to feel anything, she couldn't feel anything because then that means she'd have to face everything and she couldn't handle that.

"You're wrong," Clara stated after a moment of silence. "God, don't you think this is pathetic?"

Kol looked at the girl with gentle eyes, thinking about how much he missed his girl. The bright toothy smile she'd flash him when she caught him staring, the laugh that'd boom when Kol would say something sarcastic.

"I will do anything to get you back," Kol commented, and he didn't know if he was telling this to Clara so she'd know or to state something he deep down knew. "I promise."

Clara scoffed, shaking her head as a smirk started to appear on her face. "You really love her, don't you? Do you not understand? Love is weakness."

"Love isn't weakness, it's what makes you strong. I just recently found that out, and I did too late."

"C'mon, you don't believe that, do you? I mean, loving someone makes you a certain type of weak," Clara answered, taking one step forward so she would be in Kol's face as she continued. "You lose that person, and you'd do anything to get revenge or to shut it all out. You're setting yourself up for a lifetime of sadness when you do, inevitably, lose them."

"You're wrong," Kol responded, and he felt a sudden warmness in his eyes as his voice almost cracked.

"Believe what you want," Clara smiled, almost a smirk but not quite there. "But you will be heartbroken, I can promise you that."

Kol grasped onto Clara's right shoulder, and she immediately narrowed her blue eyes at the boy as she tried to pull away. But his grip on the girl didn't loosen, and she knitted her eyebrows together.

"Let go of me," Clara snapped, her hand tightly wrapped over Kol's when she tried pushing it off her shoulder.

"Switch it back," Kol states, and she knew he was trying to use compulsion, but her upper lip snarled. "Turn your humanity switch back on."

"God, you're stupid," Clara growled, finally getting out of Kol's grasp when he was confused as to why his compulsion wasn't working. "You really think I'd have an original vampire as my boyfriend and not drink vervain? It's a good thing you're pretty."

"Then I'm sorry for what's about to happen."

Clara backed away from the brown haired boy and just as soon as she considered racing out the door, she spun around to see Rebekah in the doorway.

"Bekah, what's going on?" Clara fake smiled towards her blonde, her heart beating several seconds faster as anxiety filled her veins.

"I'm really sorry, Lara, but this needs to happen," the blonde responded, a genuinely upset face on.

Just as Clara tried taking one step forward, she felt a pinch in the side of her neck. She glanced over her shoulder to see some type of needle, which was now empty as Kol pulled it away. Her hand rushes to her neck, feeling the soft area which had just been injected with something.

"Just a little vervain, love."

"You...bitch," was all that Clara could muster as her body fell to the ground, completely unconscious.

Clara opened her blue eyes as she saw she was sprawled out on the floor of a completely unfamiliar space. The room was just about the same area of Kol's, but the walls and ground were completely black and the only exit in the place looked like it was some sort of prison door.

The blonde choked out a bit as she realized just how thirsty she really was, clasping her hand around her throat as she tried her best to regain moistness in her mouth. Her entire body felt as if the blood had just stopped running, and she only figured that Kol and Rebekah were drying her out in a sad attempt to get her to flip her switch.

"Good to see you're awake."

Clara gazed from staring at the ground before her to the door, where through the three cell bars she could recognize Kol. Her heavy breathing could be heard throughout the house, and her blue eyes weren't as bright as they usually were. Her already somewhat pale complexion had gotten worse, where bags appeared under her eyes a bit and her skin was a light grey.

"Good job," Clara muttered, sending the boy a fake smile as she moved her body using her palms so she was sitting on her butt rather than her stomach. She legs tucked under each other as one hand rested on her thigh and the other on the cold ground. "Really didn't see you shooting me up with a dose of vervain, nice touch."

Kol was pretty shocked the girl was so calm and collected, but pegged it to the point that if she felt desperation or sadness or anger she'd have her pesky emotions back.

"Thank you," the boy responded, eyeing the girl up and down. "I'm just waiting until the vervain is out of your system, and I can compel you to flip your switch back on."

Clara growled under her breath, she didn't know how much time she had left before all the vervain would be out of her system, and she certainly didn't want to find out.

"You know I won't forgive you for forcing me to switch it back," Clara shot, her upper lip curling in annoyance.

"If that's the price for you to be back to your normal, safe self, then so be it."

"You know realize I'm gonna get out of here right?" Clara answered, rising up from her spot on the ground while using her shaky palms. Her speech was a bit off because of her body shutting off, so she was carefully pronouncing every word. "And when I do, I will bury the white oak stake in your nasty, black heart, and smile as I look over your burning corpse."

Kol's face hardened as she spoke, and he had to remind himself that this wasn't an enemy, that this was his girl, only lost.

"You can't get out of here."

"Wanna bet?" Clara smiled wickedly, walking slowly over to the cell door. Her feet hardly even leaving the ground as she carried herself.

"It's not going to be long now," Kol answered, only making the girl more annoyed. "The vervain should be out of your system in a few hours."

Few hours, hm? Thanks for telling me that bit of info, baby. Clara thought to herself, a sly smirk appearing on her face.

"Kol," the girl croaked, her demeanor completely shifting from annoyance to softness. Her lower lip quivered a bit, and she felt the tears rush to her eyes as she let out a shaky breath. "Oh, my God, I'm so sorry."

"Clara?" Kol asked, his voice full of concern and worry. He looked the girl up and down, wrapping his hands around two of the three bars. "Is it really you?"

Clara didn't hesitate to race forward using her vamp speed with her fangs spread and bloodshot eyes. Kol backed up several steps as the girl completely took him off guard, his back hitting the hard wall behind him. A soft chuckling could be heard from her cell, and he cautiously walked back up to look inside.

She was smiling widely while laughing at the boy, her eyes closed as she did so. When she sucked in a deep breath, trying to regain any strength that she just spent, her blue eyes opened up.

"That is just too easy," Clara said in between laughs, taking a seat on a small, black bench she discovered on the back wall facing towards the cell. "You want the old Clara back so bad that you'd believe anything, huh?"

"And you'll do anything to try to convince yourself you're not about to have to face all of those annoying emotions, huh?"

Clara's laughs faded as she peered harshly at Kol, finding his last statement unamusing. The boy was somewhat right, because she wasn't ready to face all of those things.

"I will kill you," Clara stated, ignoring his last statement. "And I will enjoy it."

"We'll just see who'll win first."
