lavvie honestly, i don't think i say it enough, so sit back and enjoy a rare, sappy post. i am infinitely grateful for you, dylan. whether you meant to or not, you've helped me through times that i wasn't entirely sure i could make it through. you know how to put up with my attitude (sorry your daughter has the same one), my terrible cooking, lame jokes, and poorly timed immaturity.
for that, i wont ever take you for granted.

LAVVIE

"How are my girls?" Dylan questioned through the phone, his tired face taking over the screen.

"Hi, Dylan!" I laughed, feeling Shelley's arms wrap over my shoulders as she leaned over to the phone screen. "Your wife and I decided to have an affair while you've been gone and I'm Rory's new dad." Shelley told him, his tired face growing to fake annoyance with a hint of amusement.

"We're having a sleepover." I told him, and his eyes went slightly wide. "Andy and Jade are here as well, and— Rory is passed out." I laughed, walking over to where Rory had fallen asleep on the beanbag and flipping the camera to show him.

"Sugar crash?" He asked as I placed the screen back onto me.

"Oh, yeah, we've been eating junk all night." I answered, a short laugh leaving my mouth.

"Lavvie! You're breaking the rule of the night!" I heard Jade call out, making her way over to me and poking her head over my phone. "Hi, Dylan." Jade greeted him with a small wave then glared up at me.

"What's the rule?"

"No talking to significant others, which I don't know how that's fair since I'm the only one here married." I joked, pointing out to Shelley who had come up with the rule, likely to see how long I'd last.

"I can go, you should have fun with them, I'm pretty tired anyway, it's late here." He yawned out, running a hand through his tussled hair.

"Aw, okay, I love you." I told him, Shelley and Andy stood in front of me, making obnoxious kissing noises and pretending to make out.

"Love you too, have fun." He said before I hung out, glaring the two in front of me down.

"Oh, baby, I love you, lets make another baby!" Shelley exaggerated out in a mocking tone, practically falling over top of Jade.

"Let's make a million! Oh, god, a trillion, I could just-"

"You're both children." I groaned out, taking a pillow from the couch and wacking them with it. I soon came to regret my decision when I felt a pillow hitting my stomach. I quickly hit Shelley back, Jade defending her with another pillow.

"Wait, wait, be careful of the baby!" Andy exclaimed and I paused, realizing how close we were to my sleeping daughter.

"Don't worry, the kid can sleep through anything."

"Mommy, mommy, I hungy." I groaned as I woke up, my body halfway off the couch, with Rory standing next to me, poking my face repeatedly. I stared at the toddler tiredly, wrapping my arms around her and bringing her onto my chest. "Mommy—"

"Mommy is clocked out." I mumbled, hearing a laugh, seeing Andy was awake. "Don't have kids." I told her, Rory trying to squirm her way out of my grasp.

"Wasn't planning on it." Andy laughed, texting someone on her phone.

"Will finally text you back?" I asked her, her face fell and she shook her head. "Alright, looks like I'm kicking his ass." I said, not caring in my tired state that Rory was listening. I sat up, letting my wild haired toddler down and rubbing my eyes from the sleep.

"It's fine, he's probably just busy." She mumbled and I frowned, I knew all too well how she must've felt.

"Don't be afraid to double text, sometimes he just forgets to respond." I told her, standing up and making my way to the kitchen. "Want coffee?"

"Always." She answered, sitting up from her spot on the couch. "Okay, this, is picture worthy." I heard her say, and looked to see what she was looking at.

On the other couch, Shelley and Jade were cuddled close, a blanket scrunched over their bodies. It was purely innocent cuddling, but I had a feeling they both would be completely flustered when they woke up.

"How long until they realize?" Andy asked, getting up from the couch and taking a seat on a stool behind the island.

"Not sure." I answered, knowing exactly what she was getting at. I started the coffee, deciding to order breakfast for all of us. "Why do I just wanna yell in their ears until they wake up?" I asked, taking a drink of my coffee as I eyed the two who were still sound asleep.

"Sick the child on them." Andy chuckled, not realizing I would actually do it.

"Ror, wakey time." I told her, and the toddler grinned, running over to the couch and climbing on top. She began to jump beside Shelley, until she fell onto their bodies.

"Aurora O'Brien!" Shelley whined out, shoving my daughter from her stomach, only to tackle her beneath her body. "Only wake with cuddles, brat." Shelley mumbled, her arms removing from a confused Jade and wrapping around the toddler.

"Mommy said!" Rory yelled out, ratting me out within seconds.

"For that, come on, teeth time!" I told her and she whined out as I made my way over, to her, taking her from Shelley's arms.

"No! I don't wanna!" She screamed in my ear as I carried her towards the bathroom.

"Too bad, brush." I told her, taking her small purple toothbrush and putting the bubblegum flavored toothpaste onto it and got my own toothbrush ready.

"My miss daddy." Rory huffed out, still opening her mouth so I could brush her few teeth along with mine.

"Daddy would still make you brush." I told her, watching her little blue eyes roll back. "Stop with the attitude." I knew she was only being stubborn since Dylan wasn't home, but it was frustrating.

As I was finishing, the doorbell rang, and I felt myself calm, knowing the food would take a bit of my annoyance away. "Someone get that!" I yelled out, hearing the door open not long after. Setting the toothbrushes into the container, I let Rory run back out to the livingroom, following closely behind.

"The food here?" I asked, barely paying a glance to Shelley who was stood at the front door. Andy and Jade both shrugged, and I made my way to the door. "You better have my—Mom?"
