Sitting down in the sun with friends and eating ice cream was always a fun time, having nice talks and laughing at stupid and or funny things, but it sucked when one those friends just so happened to have been kissing you a month ago and now acted as if nothing happened. Sure, Sofia acted as if nothing had happened either, but the tension and awkwardness was a little too awkward.

Maybe you're wondering what's going on, Sofia currently sat with her siblings, Brooke, Khai, and Nate along with the triplets, Nate had told Chris off of Sofia's phone, that they should hang out and taking it a little too literal, Chris told his brother to drive down to the current ice cream shop that the four were driving to after Nate sent their location.

The four began to order and once receiving their ice cream, the four sat down at an outside table enjoying their ice cream as they talked and laughed, until the three brothers arrived causing Sofia to slightly tense up. She hadn't talked to them much since Madi's party, especially not Matt.

She felt bad because they were friends before they were, whatever they were, but she couldn't bring herself to text him. Greeting the three boys with hugs, Sofia awkwardly hugged Matt, who let out a soft sigh of relief, before pulling away.

Matt had thought that Sofia had hated him, she hadn't called or texted him since he texted her, he hadn't even properly greeted her at Madi's party, but he knew that he could've also tried to greet her and he did, but she ignored him, and it was pretty obvious.

The seven caught up for a few minutes until the three brothers went to go order their ice cream. Slowly turning to face Brooke, Sofia pursed her lips with an awkward look, "What's wrong with your face?" Khai abruptly asked Sofia with a quirked eyebrow as he mixed his ice cream around causing her to relax her face and tensed up body immediately.

"Nothing," shrugging him off, Sofia and Brooke began to talk back and forth with their eyes, confusing the shit out of the two boys who looked at them weird, "What the hell?" the two asked, "Mind your business," the two girls told the boys causing Khai to hold his hands up in defense with a chuckle, "Someone's in a mood," he muttered causing the two send him glares.

Their 'conversation' was soon cut short when the brothers came back with their ice cream in hand, Chris taking the empty seat in between Brooke and Khai meanwhile his brothers pulled up their chairs as the rest of the group moved their chairs around making room for the two.

"Hey," Matt softly spoke next to Sofia, "Hey," she awkwardly and quietly replied with a tight-lipped smile. Slightly uncomfortable by the awkwardness, Sofia scooched closer towards Brooke who took pictures on her phone of the group, Nick began a conversation as Sofia tried her best to listen, but she kept zoning out, thinking of the kiss and her breakup.

Everything was messy and she didn't know what to do to fix it. Quietly eating her ice cream, Sofia was completely zoned out until she heard a gasp come from Brooke, becoming startled Sofia turned to Brooke, "What?" Sofia questioned with an incredulous tone.

Brooke didn't respond, instead she shoved her phone to Sofia's face causing her to grab her wrist and push it away a few inches so she could see properly, seeing the picture, Sofia snatched the phone from Brooke's hand to bring in closer.

It was Mason's Instagram story, the pictured showed Mason and Jessie laughing and also being very close and touchy from afar, Sofia was a little raged, jealous even. She still had feelings for Mason, sure they weren't as strong, but they were there.

"What?" Khai questioned, "Check Mason's Instagram," Brooke told her younger brother who immediately pulled his phone out, Sofia then handed Brooke her phone back before going on her's, she turned all notifications for Instagram off, she didn't want to see any of the comments people were tagging her in and she sure as hell didn't want to be mentioned in the same post as Jessie.

Before turning her phone, Sofia clicked on the follow button and officially unfollowed Mason. "Mason and Jessie? #Messie." Brooke muttered to Sofia trying to get her to laugh already knowing how pissed and or jealous she was, Sofia let out a breathily chuckle.

"Ooo, girl are you okay?" Nick asked Sofia after taking a look at Khai's phone, "I'm fine," Sofia told him with a promising tone that sounded a little too good to be true causing Matt to watch her closely, he knew that was probably a lie. "Sofia?" Chris questioned, "Mhm?" Sofia hummed in response as she mixed her now melted ice cream.

"You sure, you okay?" Chris asked with worry in hand, she nodded in response, "I'm fine," No matter how much Sofia loved and missed Mason, she couldn't blame him for moving on, she broke his heart, and he was hurt and now he was getting over it, well trying to, which meant she had to too. 

"I'll be back," Sofia muttered, she grabbed her ice cream cup and began to walk away with her purse and phone in hand, she walked far enough till she couldn't see them anymore, she desperately needed something to do, so she grabbed her pack of cigarettes and began to light one.

Sofia sat on the sidewalk smoking a cigarette in silence as she thought about Mason and Matt. They were all she could think about and no matter how tired she was of thinking about them, she couldn't stop herself from thinking about them.

She might've led one on and the other, well she broke his heart, there wasn't much to think about, but it was still all she think about, her kiss with Matt, her breakup with Mason, all this family drama. Her life was messy, and it was exhausting, she felt as if she needed another break, a very, very long one, from friends, family, life, everything.

Matt watched as Sofia walked down the street, wanting to follow to make sure she was okay, but he didn't he just watched as she walked away. He wanted to give her some space, he figured Sofia and Mason were still together, everyone had called them a power couple, so he believed it, they had a strong relationship and he thought they'd never break up.

But no matter how horrible it seemed; he was glad that the two might've broken up because he was falling. Hard. And he wanted to be her new boyfriend, and if Mason was still in the picture, he knew he wouldn't have a chance.

He was slightly jealous of Mason, he would never admit it, but deep down he was. Mason was the perfect boyfriend for Sofia, he was everything, Mason was the love of her life and now, now he didn't know. But he didn't care, he wanted to have a chance with Sofia, and if it wasn't meant to be then it wouldn't, but he was still holding onto that 'What if?'

What if she likes me back? What if we're meant to be? What if we are soulmates? okay Matt didn't believe in soulmates, but he felt as if Sofia was his, little did he know how right he was. 

"Dude, you're supposed to go after her!" Chris whisper-shouted, snapping Matt out of his thoughts, "Should I?" Matt questioned, "Yes dumbass!" Brooke, Chris, and Nick shouted gaining some looks from others meanwhile Nate and Khai looked at the four confused, no one had bothered to fill the two in yet.

Just as Matt stood up Sofia walked towards the table causing him to sit back down, he could smell smoke lingering from the short, brunette-haired girl, looking at her weirdly Matt turned to face Brooke who sighed in realization as she clamped her eyes shut.

Opening her eyes, Brooke caught Matt's eyes who raised his eyebrows in question, "So, what brings you guys back to Boston?" Sofia asked sitting down in her previous seat, "Mother's Day." Matt answered, Sofia eyes darted to Matt's as she bit her lip.

"I completely forgot," Brooke muttered, "Yeah... same." Sofia sighed with a breathily chuckle, no matter what the truth and the papers said, Athena was still like Sofia's mother, and she missed her. 

She had always spent Mother's Day with Athena, they'd do everything they could think of together, they'd' have cake, Sofia'd buy Athena flowers, they'd go out and have as much fun as possible. "Okay, let's talk about something else," Sofia announced as she didn't want to talk about Mother's Day anymore, "Let's do something!" Brooke suggested with a cheer.

"Yeah, let's do that," Matt agreed standing up from his seat, "Where are we going?" Chris asked as the rest of the group began to stand up from their seats and follow the boy. Matt ignored his youngest brothers question and continued his way to his car, sending a location to Sofia's phone. 

Sofia glanced down at her phone when she felt it vibrate in her side pocket, she opened the text to see a location, sitting in the driver's seat, Sofia sent a thumbs up and began driving to the location as the triplet's did the same.

Arriving at the location a few minutes apart the group's made their way into the triplet's parents' house where they meet their family along with their dog, Trevor. They spent their day in the boys living room where they watched movies and ate food.

The awkward tension between Sofia and Matt had slowly disappeared, but some tension came back when Chris asked Sofia where Mason really was, which caused Nick and Brooke to either send the boy daggers or in Brooke's case, to punch the shit out of his arm.

"We actually... we broke up," Sofia revealed trying to sound as nonchalant as possible, she didn't want them to worry, but they did, the group asked how she was feeling and if she was truly okay, which she wasn't, she tried her best to avoid Matt's eyes that kept lingering on her.

"Are you okay?" Nick immediately questioned the girl, Sofia nodded in response, she glanced at him for obvious reasons, he was the reason they broke up. Well, it was Sofia's fault for kissing him and also her fault for falling for him, but as Brooke, Madi, and Tara told the girl, "You can't help who you fall for"

Sofia tried her best to remember that, but she couldn't. It was her fault and she hated herself for it. "Yeah, it was a... mutual decision," Sofia lied to the boy who didn't look like he believed her, quietly sighing to herself, it wasn't a mutual decision, she was a shitty girlfriend and kissed her best friend.

"New topic!" Sofia announced after the boys, excluding Matt who stayed silent feeling guilty, questioned Sofia. Brooke had noticed Sofia's movements and decided it would be a good idea to paint, something Sofia only did when she was, too sad to express her feelings and right now that was how she was feeling.

So that's what they did, they painted before making their way back home. Brooke figured she just needed some music, coffee, and a blank canvas. Something Sofia could use in her current situation, a blank canvas, a fresh start, something she knew she wouldn't get. 

She just wanted to forget that night, she wished it had never happened, but she knew that if it didn't, she probably would've ended up marrying a guy who she wasn't sure she was truly in love with like she thought she was.

And I don't know why it takes me so long to write guys!

My motivation is like dead or something idk

But I hope you guys liked this chapter, the ending was very rushed, I didn't know how to finish it off and I was bored.
