→˚₊·  ܴೈ What the fuck?! You let us all fucking mourn you just to come back? I was devastated. Sirius was devastated!

ELAIN STOOD READY to get off of the aircraft to meet her Uncle. It was an odd feeling, seeing him again after she had mourned. After their family had mourned. Yet, he had been alive all of this time. Planning on how to take over a realm for his own.

Elain could feel the celestial energy that belonged to the Tesseract. In a way, it fueled her. She could try to channel it but that was too risky and the object was too powerful and Elain did not want power.

Elain nodded at Steve as he was quick to jump in front of an old man, protecting him from the wrath of Loki. She disappeared from sight but watched as Loki fell to the ground.

"You know, the last time I was in Germany, and saw a man standing above everybody else, we ended up disagreeing," Steve spoke as he walked closer to Loki.

Elain resisted the urge to smile at how calm Steve seemed. He wasn't fueled by hatred or the desire to fight but he would fight, for the better of the people.

"The soldier, the man out of time," Loki let out a chilling laugh as he rose to his feet, scepter hitting against the concrete with a thud.

"I'm not the one who's out of time," Steve disagreed as he held his shield at his side.

Elain appeared by her Uncle's side causing him to move back with a slightly shocked expression, even the aircraft came into view as the weapons were loaded.

"Loki, drop the weapon and stand down," Natasha's voice boomed before Loki went to shoot the aircraft.

Steve threw his shield and Elain did her best to conceal the power he had just shot. She turned to watch as Steve fought her Uncle, when Loki threw Steve down she ran and grabbed ahold of his arm, trying to pull him back.

"Leave him alone, Uncle," Her voice was filled with fire, only getting angrier and angrier.

Loki looked at his niece, with something that seemed like pity, "You are too much like your parents," He used his scepter to hit Elain harshly in her knee causing her to fall to the ground.

Loki was quick to get over to Steve who finally stopped flipping over. The god walked over to the man and placed his scepter on his head. Something sinister was clearly in his mind.

"Kneel," Loki ordered.

"Not today," Steve was quick to speak as he got up and kicked Loki with a jump.

Elain turned her focus to the people in the area. She started to help clear them out so that they wouldn't get hurt. Occasionally, she would look back at her Uncle and her newfound friend. She hated that she wasn't fighting, but she wasn't fighting family.

As she began to help an elderly woman, she noticed a giant red suit hitting the ground in front of Captain America and her Uncle. She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion as she noticed the number of weapons it held, as well as the amount of energy that seemed to radiate off of it.

"Make your move, reindeer games," The suit spoke as the Captain moved to stand by his side.

Elain finished helping the lady before walking over to the pair. Watching as the suit's weapons disappeared and as the aircraft moved overhead.

"Good move," The suit spoke once more as Loki let his outfit change and his hands raised in surrender.

Elain narrowed her eyes at her uncle, he didn't give up this easily.

"Mr. Stark," Steve breathed out and Elain's eyes widened, I forgot that he was coming. I thought this was a talking robot.

"Captain, Miss Rheadóttir," He spoke in return as Elain nodded in response.

Everyone was quick to load Loki onto the aircraft. Elain sat across from her Uncle as she just stared. The drive was smooth, too smooth. Loki hadn't said nor done anything. Steve seemed to grow wary, as everyone else did.

"Is he saying anything?" Fury's voice notably came through the radio.

"Not a word," Natasha spoke back.

"Just get him here. We're low on time," Fury stated once more.

"What the fuck?" Elain cussed as she huffed, Loki looked at her in surprise, "You let us all fucking mourn you just to come back? I was devastated. Sirius was devastated!"

"I don't like him," Steve mumbled to Tony, but it wasn't so quiet that she couldn't hear as she spat out remarks.

"You are so fucking selfish! After everything! You just fake your own death!"

"What? Rock of Ages giving up so easily? Letting his niece yell at him like it's nothing?" Tony retorted to the Captain.

"I don't remember it being that easy," Steve mumbled back.

"You are so fucking stupid for that! Your parents, your brother, hell, me and my brother who are your niece and nephew but practically your children?! We all mourned!" She continued to yell and curse.

"This guy packs a wallop," Steve mumbled back to Iron Man.

"Still, you are pretty spry for an older fellow," Tony mumbled to Steve as both looked at the pair of gods.

"I lost control so many fucking times! Hell, we are lucky I'm not right now! Allfather, forgive me because I really am so fucking pissed I might destroy many things."

"Is the woman really the one cussing?" One of the agents driving questioned.

"Yes," Natasha said in a tone that obviously was one that meant shut up.

"What's your thing, Pilates?" Stark questioned.

"What?" Steve asked confused.

"It's like calisthenics. You might have missed a couple of things, you know, doing time as a Capsicle," Tony spoke with a slight nod of his head.

"Say something! You fucking asshole!" Elain continued to scream as her eyes seemingly added a bit of a golden shade while the lights flickered.

"One of you boys get ahold of her, she's causing the energy to surge," Natasha yelled back with a sigh.

"On it," Steve spoke while listening to Tony before adding, "Fury didn't tell me he was calling you in."

Steve gave a sharp look to Tony before walking over to Elain who was breathing heavily, her fists clenched, and glaring daggers at her Uncle as she stood in front of him. Steve carefully began to tug her back to where he had been standing before putting an arm around her to see if she calmed.

"Yeah, there's a lot of things Fury doesn't tell you," Tony looked at Loki before turning back to the two, "For someone who's known for their niceness, that sure was harsh," he joked at Elain before thunder shackled.

"Great. The family get-together, Steve, hands-off. This isn't going to be pretty," Elain tried to get the man to let go of her.

"Where's this coming from?" Natasha questioned, clearly not understanding.

The aircraft shook a bit. Loki's face turned to one of slight fear as everyone looked back at him. Elain with a look that seemed as if hell had been unleashed.

"What's the matter? Are you scared of a little lightning?" Steve questioned as he continued to hold onto Elain.

"I'm not overly fond of what follows," Was Loki's simple response to the man.

It didn't take long for a harsh hit to be shaking the whole aircraft before another one did as well. Everyone but Elain looked up in shock. Of course, the two great warriors of Asgard came.

"What are you doing?" Steve yelled to Tony who opened the aircraft's hatch.

Once it opened, Thor was first to land. Tony going to shoot at him before being hit by the mighty hammer, Mjollnir. Elain watched as her brother as well landed, with a rather pissed look, but also a cocky smirk.

Thor grabbed a hold of their Uncle before Sirius was quick to yank Elain from Steve as he tutted the man, "Hands off my sister," He spoke sharply before the family was off of the aircraft.

Elain kept an arm on her brother as he followed after Thor and Loki. Once they had all landed, the girl hooked arms with her brother to keep him rooted in his space. He hadn't really had much of a reaction.

Loki groaned as he lay against the hard ground. Thor standing above him while the twins were right behind him. Watching as he laughed.

"Where is the Tesseract?" Thor questioned his brother.

Loki continued to laugh from the ground, "I missed you, too."

"Do I look to be in a gaming mood?" Thor roared at his brother.

Elain leaned her head against her brother's arm he had just as much of a grip on her as she did on him.

"You should thank me," Loki's voice was a bit higher pitch for a moment before speaking again as he sat up, "With the Bifrost gone, how much dark energy did the Allfather have to muster to conjure you here. To conjure Elain and Sirius here to your precious earth?"

Thor dropped his hammer as a growl left his lips, he roughly grabbed Loki and made him stand upright where both could look into the other's eyes.

"I thought you were dead," Thor spoke.

"I already told him that. Along with many unfriendly words I've always chosen to not say," Elain hummed, still obviously pissed.

"Did you mourn, as Elain has stated?" Loki questioned with a sharp look.

"We all did. Our father..." Thor was obviously hurt by this.

"Your father," Loki sneered as he raised his index finger, "He did tell you my true parentage, did he not?" He questioned as Thor let him go, he began to walk closer to the twins.

"Laufey," Both twins whispered quietly.

"We were raised together. We played together, we fought together! Do you remember none of that?" Thor questioned as they began to follow Loki's pace.

"I remember a shadow. Living in the shade of your greatness. I remember you tossing me into an abyss. I, who was and should be, king!" Loki was clearly aggravated as he spoke.

"So you take the world I love as a recompense, the world Elain loves as a recompense, for your imagined slights?" Thor shoots.

"Hey, don't bring me into this. He clearly doesn't care for me anymore," Elain's hurt was evident in her tone as she said this, Sirius nudged the top of her head with his chin.

"No. The earth is under our protection, Loki," Thor sneered as he walked closer to his brother.

Loki just started to laugh wildly. Sirius sighed as he tried to move from his sister, but she did not allow it.

"And you're doing a marvelous job with that!" Loki grinned as his words struck a nerve, "The humans slaughter each other in droves while you idly fret. I mean to rule them, as why should I not?" he questioned with exaggerated expressions.

"You think yourself above them?" Thor questioned, clearly ashamed by the thought of this.

"Well, yes," Loki spoke as if it was the most obvious thing to ever be.

"Then you miss the truth of ruling, brother," Thor moved closer as he explained, slightly shocked by Loki's words, "A throne would suit you, ill."

Loki shoved Thor and began walking back up while the twins stayed silent. Both watched whatever was happening between the two men who had raised them.

"I've seen worlds you've never known about!" Loki yelled with a malicious tone, "I have grown, Odinson, in my exile," He sneered, "I have seen the true power of the Tesseract, and when I wield it..."

"Who showed you this power?" Thor questioned as he lifted a hand, "Who controls the would-be king?"

"I am a king!" Loki yelled.

"Not here!" Thor yelled back as he grabbed his brother.

"You give up the Tesseract! You give up this poisonous dream! You come home," Thor yelled before calming down from the anger as his voice wavered, his hands being more gentle with his brother.

Part of Elain couldn't imagine how this must feel. Fighting against your own family. Against your own brother, it must be hard. She knew from Thor's reaction that it was heartbreaking. She prayed that she'd never been like that with her brother and she prayed he never betrayed her as their Uncle had.

Loki let out a small laugh as he began to shake his head before responding, "I don't have it."

Thor held his hand out and got Mjollnir back in his hands, as he began to lift it in the air. Anger clearly evident on his features as the air began to tense.

"You need the Cube to bring me home. But I've sent it off, I know not where," Loki responded.

"That's a stupid move, Uncle Loki," Elain deadpanned.

"Sh," Sirius nudged his sister telling her to quiet down.

Thor held out his hammer angry, "You listen well, brother."

The next events happened a bit fast. Sirius and Elain both leaped back as a flash of red and gold took Thor with a grunt. Elain's eyes were wide before she realized that it was Tony Stark or Iron man, who had made a huge mistake.

Though, Loki seemed unbothered by the event, "I'm listening," He states.

Elain sighed before looking at her brother.

"Keep an eye on him," She went to pull away but he didn't let go.

"Where are you going? That is far too dangerous," Sirius wasn't keen on his sister fighting.

"I'm not a child, Sirius," Elain gives her brother a look as she attempted to pull back still.

"You may not be a child but you aren't keen on a battle," Sirius wasn't budging.

"He's right," Loki spoke up causing both twins to glare, "Or not."

"I never said I was going to fight, besides, who said that they're fighting," Elain shot, "We're all on the same side."

"Are we?" Loki questioned causing the woman to give him a look while she turned back to Sirius who was avoiding her gaze.

"Look, I know them," Elain started to speak.

"Yeah well you know all of us too and look what we do," Sirius shot back before he realized how that sounded, "Elain..."

"No, just..." Elain couldn't even fathom what to say next.

Elain didn't say a word after that. She kept a close eye on Loki and ignored whatever left her brother's mouth. She watched as her Uncle Thor came back with Iron Man and Captain America to collect them.

She pulled away from her brother and the group entered the aircraft once it had found everyone's location. Elain moved every time that someone tried to stand by her, but Steve was just as persistent as her brother and Sirius did not seem to like that.

"What's your deal?" Sirius questioned as he narrowed his eyes at the man in the star-spangled suit.

"What do you mean?" Steve questioned, keeping himself collected per usual.

"Why do you keep getting closer to my sister when she clearly doesn't want you around her?" Sirius shot angrily.

"I could ask you the same thing," Steve's tone was one of authority.

"Here we go," Tony said dramatically, "It seems Capsicle might be developing a heart for you sister."

Elain's head whipped into Tony's direction and she sharply said, "Quiet."

"So she speaks!" Tony cheered.

"Let's not fight. Not now," Elain gave her brother a look, "You spoke what you felt on the rock. I do not wish to speak of this anymore."

"You haven't seen me and now you don't want me near you!" Sirius wasn't happy because of this.

"You are the one who spoke ill of everyone, acting as if all we have ever done is fight one another. I have never fought anyone in this family or anyone on this aircraft! I am sick of you treating me like a child, I am an adult. Just as you are," Elain let her anger show, "I love you, I love you to bits because you are my twin brother but you've got to give me credit and you've got to let me be."

Sirius seemed to falter, the weight of his sister's words sending everyone in the aircraft to silence. Elain swung her braid over her shoulder before moving as far as she could from everyone and sitting down until the ride was over.

It seemed like hours that they were in the sky, and Elain was thankful when they landed. She was quick to leave as Loki was escorted to his cell. The one that had originally been intended for Dr. Brue Banner.

The heroes as they were so-called were sitting around a table watching from a screen as Fury talked with Loki. Elain stuck between her brother and Steve while Tony was across from them and Natasha was on the other side of her brother.

"If you try to escape, if you so much as scratch that glass... it's thirty-thousand feet straight down in a steel trap. You get how that works?" The last bit Fury had to yell due to the screaming of the wind, "Ant, boot."

Loki chuckled at the Director's words, "It's an impressive cage. Not built, I think, for me," Elain rolled her eyes, he knew damn well who it was for apparently.

"Built for something a lot stronger than you," Fury shot at the God of Mischief.

"Oh, I've heard," Loki turned to dead-stare at the camera, "A mindless beats. Makes play he's still a man. How desperate are you? That you call on such lost creatures to defend you?"

Natasha looked at Banner who leaned on one of the seats. Thor's hand was holding his chin. Steve looked at Elain with a somber look while she held a stare with the table.

"How desperate am I?" Fury questioned the God, "You threaten my world with war. You steal a force you can't hope to control. You talk about peace, and you kill because it's fun. You have made me very desperate," Fury spoke as he began to walk closer to the container, "You might not be glad that you did."

"Ooh, it burns you to have come so close. To have the Tesseract, to have the power, unlimited power. And for what?" Loki began to move around as he spoke, "A warm light for all mankind to share. And then to be reminded what real power is."

"Well, let me know if 'real power' wants a magazine or something," Fury calls as he leaves the room.

Elain watched as Loki began to wander closer to the screen before it blinked off.

"He really grows on you, doesn't he?" Banner was the first to speak.
