NO ONE P.O.V

Taehyung plan at first was to run after Jungkook and comfort the man. He was trying to search for the other and happened to bump into Jennie as he do so. When his gaze lend on her, something inside of him stir up and his wolf was howling like crazy, as it keep screaming.

Mate!

Taehyung was beyond surprised when he saw the small omega. He was always that person who love to follow his instinct, so without thinking much he just jump on her. Being a child, Jennie doesn't recognize Taehyung as her mate so all she could see is a stranger, an Alpha on that is attacking her.

The first thing that she could do is cried because there is no Alpha had laid their hands or gotten closer to her except for Seokjin and her big brother Jungkook. Taehyung was too immersed in Jennie's scent. The vanilla-like scent was faint since she hasn't matured but being her mate, Taehyung can still smell it.

That is when Jungkook comes into the scene, and when the Trueblood throws him away from his mate, Taehyung kind of gets mad and his wolf took over. The Alpha growl at the Trueblood not knowing that the person he just attack is Trueblood's little sister, Kim Jennie.

Did he just dig his own grave? Yeah, he thinks he did.

Is he scared of Jungkook right now? Kind of, since Jungkook knows so well about Taehyung.

Jungkook knows that Taehyung is flirty, he flirts with literally every woman that he met. If Jennie is Jungkook's little sister then Taehyung knows so well how deep the problem he's in. Everyone knows how protective the Trueblood is with his little sister.

Any Alpha that tries to get close to her will have to go through the Trueblood, there is even a rumor that the Trueblood once tore an Alpha's limb for trying to harass his little sister. If you see Jennie as a small harmless pup, you have to remember that there is always that one beast that is guarding the pup.

Taehyung fiddled with his fingers while Rose sat beside him. Knowing that the Alpha is nervous, she pours him a cup of tea. "Drink up and calm down, you need to explain yourself later. Trembling like this wouldn't help." She says "I'm not trembling!" He replies and clenches his fist tightly, trying to show that he is tough.

Rose huffed "Sure, just drink up will you?" She says as Taehyung glances at the cup of tea. Slowly, he brings up his palm and takes the cup as he sips it hesitantly. Rose just purses her lips, the Alpha's palm is visibly trembling making her mentally roll her eyes.

Alphas and their pride.

However, both of them froze on the spot when they heard the door on the next room where Jungkook had brought Jennie, opened. "Jungkook-ah please don't be so harsh on him. If it's true that the Alpha is her mate, I think he will make her happy." The old woman says, trying to persuade the Trueblood.

"Hmph, we'll see about that." When Taehyung heard Jungkook's voice, he felt himself choke on the tea as he cough instantly, taking Rose's attention. The male cough as Rose just sigh and pat his back. The door was suddenly opened, and Taehyung instantly sit up straight.

Jungkook enters the room and his gaze lends on Taehyung instantly as the male stiffens up. Rose glance at the lady that stood at the door, the lady smiled and excuse herself as Jungkook approach them and sit in front of Taehyung. Jungkook pours himself a cup of tea and sips on it. Putting the cup away he finally speaks up.

"I'm not angry at you, hyung. I understand that you just followed your instinct since she is your mate." He begins "People say, when it's love, age is just a number but I don't think so. Age matters until my sister turns 18 years old." He adds as Taehyung silently nods in agreement.

"I'm her big brother. She grow up with everything, I pampered her and I give her enough love so she grew up as a happy child. So of course, I want her partner to care for her like how I did." Jungkook says "but I do care for her." Taehyung try to convince the male but Jungkook just smiled.

"I've known you for almost 5 years hyung. You might care for your mate but you might not stay loyal." He says as Taehyung kept silent while Rose just listens to their conversation. Taehyung kept silent for a moment as Jungkook sighed "I won't deny your right as her mate but as her brother and your friend, I have to do what I have to."

"Hyung, Jennie is a child, you're not allowed to force her to be your mate until she recognizes you as her mate and accepted you as one. Gain her trust and create a bond, don't force yourself on her. No sexual interaction is allowed until she turns 18 or else I rip your limb apart."

"You're not allowed to flirt with another woman, stay loyal with your mate and wait for her. Prove to me that you're a worthy mate and not some bastard who just want her for their sexual desire." Hearing those rules from the Trueblood, Taehyung knows that Jungkook is trying to protect his sister.

If waiting will prove himself to Jungkook then he would wait until the right time come. Slowly nodding his head Taehyung says "I promise, I will wait for her." He says as Jungkook smiled thankfully at the older "Hyung..." Jungkook trailed off as Taehyung lift his gaze and meet the other's

"Jennie is my everything. I'm ready to give everything to her. So please, hyung, when she becomes your mate make sure to see her as your equal not someone below you. When you bring her hands into yours, I want you to take care of her, as I did." Jungkook says in a soft voice as Taehyung takes a deep breath and says with determination in his eyes.

"I promise that I would take care of her."

"You did well Taehyung. It must be tough to have a mate way younger than you." Rose said as she stood beside the male who are standing in the garden. Taehyung chuckled upon hearing that "At least, he doesn't take her away from me, I'll try my best to gain her trust." He says.

Rose smiled and nodded her head "Jungkook really cares for her." She muttered "Of course, that's why I respect his decision. He had sacrificed his life for her, live his life with an abusive father, working his ass off since he was just a child to take care of her, of course, he want the best." Taehyung says

"And I will prove to him that I can be the best mate for his sister." He adds as silence soon engulf them. Rose seems to be in her own world after that. The first time she saw Jungkook, she admit that he is indeed handsome like any other Alpha.

But that doesn't really interest her. However, when she got a peek of his personality, Rose felt fluttered, he was so loving and gentle yet very understanding with everything. Alphas mostly didn't care, they are ignorant and always very prideful but Jungkook...

He's different.

He was so gentle with Rose when he touched her hair. His gentlemanly manner when he instantly apologizes for touching her wrist accidentally. How loving and caring he is to his baby sister. How understanding he is towards Taehyung.

Rose can't help but feel so many butterflies in her stomach when she watches him. Just watching his personality, makes her flutter. Is this love at first sight? It felt magical but...

Is it right for me to feel like this?

"Oppa?" Jennie called out for her brother who are sitting behind her while gently combing her hair. Jungkook hummed in response so Jennie decided to ask "You said that Alpha is my mate right?" Jungkook hummed at her again, telling her that it was true.

"What's a mate?"

Jungkook felt his hand stop for a moment when he heard that. He smiled in amusement as he continue combing her hair "A mate... They are your other half. The first person you will always turn to. The first person who will always listen to you. The first person who will cry when you cry and be happy when you are..."

"They will be the only person who stays when everyone turns their back on you."

"That is a mate. They're blessing for wolves." He says "Why didn't you become my mate then? Aren't you, my other half? You are always the person to who I would turn. The first person who will always listen to me. The person who cries and be happy for me and a person who will never turn his back on me. Why aren't you, my mate then?"

Jungkook chuckled when he heard that "Of course dear, I would never turn my back on you but your mate..." He paused for a moment as he suddenly felt the sadness building up in his heart "He will be a person who you'll be staying with forever. He will be the person who takes care of you after me."

Jennie turns towards Jungkook "Don't you want to take care of me anymore?" She asks as she looks up at him with her big teary eyes. Jungkook quickly shook his head "No, my dear, you'll understand when you grow up, how nice it felt to have a mate." He says but Jennie suddenly brings up her palm and wipe his tears that he doesn't even know had fallen.

"If having a mate is so great, you wouldn't cry."

Jungkook forms a smile as he takes her palm in his "I'm not crying because I'm sad." He says as he kisses her hand softly. He is sad but he knows, this day will come sooner or later. "I'm crying because I am very happy for you." Jennie knows her big brother is lying. She moved closer to him and pull him into her embrace.

"Then, you should find your mate soon. So you won't be lonely too." She muttered as Jungkook smiled and caress her head. He slowly nods his head in agreement as he kisses her hair gently. "Yeah..."

"I should meet her soon."

This is 1700+ words, no wonder I almost lose my finger 💀. Yeah, Jungkook's past is so long because I write it in detail but yeah, it worth it. I bet you guys are excited for Lisa's appearance, lol- calm down fella, a couple of chapters left and you'll meet her.
