In this rat-race, all we seek is to complete regular targets, meet demands and strive to survive in our own fights. Among these bizarre schedules, days crumpled with stress and technology consumption, self-care is possibly the last thing on our list, if present at all. But as we all know, an engine needs fuel to keep going. In today's 'sordid boon', it is a given that the masses are dwelling in all sorts of disorders and end up in the hospital, only to deplete all they have been working for in chunks. However, with a few mended habits and including some trivial activities in their usual routines, one can lead a healthy lifestyle, free from disorders and hindrances.

1) Getting enough sleep: I know, it is easier said than done. We have pending assignments, deadlines closing in, extra shifts and what not! And the extra time we put into these just keeps on cutting edges off our bedtime, till we realize that we are barely getting 2-3 hours of undisturbed sleep! Prioritizing your sleep is the most efficient self-help technique. Try to manage time throughout the day, but don't even think about touching the eight hours reserved for undisturbed sleep

2) Going on a trip: This is not a regular thing, but making time for a trip once in a while is absolutely necessary for your mental well-being. You don't have to go abroad or on expensive trips. It would suffice to even visit a nearby town or tourist spot with your family or loved ones.

3) Pursuing hobbies: In this strictly work or academic oriented lifestyle, it becomes important to devote time to what you enjoy doing. Pursuing hobbies not only relaxes your mind, but also enhances productivity. Engaging in any productive activity that you enjoy doing, viz., painting, singing, cooking, reading, etc., albeit for 30 minutes a day, can prove to be a boon for your wellness.

4) Meditation: The addition of this one element in your daily routine can prove to be revolutionary! Meditation comes with a plethora of benefits if only one is willing to give time to it. The most eminent among them is heightened focus, enhanced mindfulness, increased attention span, adequate relaxation of the mind and so on.

5) Staying hydrated: This is something which we hear multiple times a day, but still do not take quite seriously. You need to understand that your body needs to be hydrated to be at its best. Water is inevitable for almost every bodily and metabolic activity. If your body doesn't receive enough water, it cannot circulate essential nutrients, and lack of circulation would result in slackened function of the organs, and can lead from partial to complete disarray of the system.
