a few weeks later

Peter cursed Nick Fury in his head. He was over college- he had been over college for a few years now. It had sucked- Peter couldn't go out as Spiderman when he was at Harvard as to not make anyone suspicious and it didn't help with the fact that the rest of his friends, namely MJ and Ned were both in other places. MJ had gone all the way to Oxford- their breakup had been a lot more harder on her than it was on Peter and England had seemed like a great escape to her. Ned had taken a gap year and then gone to Caltech making Peter feel utterly alone.

And now, standing in the halls of Whitmore College with Wanda, Peter felt a bad case of deja vu- a horrible sinking feeling in his stomach. There were going to be withย teenagers here.

"Peter?" Wanda interrupted the brown-eyes boy's thoughts, "You okay there?"

When Peter Parker had first met the Maximoff woman, he had been afraid- not of her but for her. Her powers were very much like a traditional witch but it was amplified, drawing the siphon inside Peter towards her. The Parker boy had been so afraid when he had fought her in Germany, trying his best to steer clear of her for all of their sakes.

It was easier- the desire to suck her magic out of her just a low hum at the back of his head.

"Yeah, I am good," Peter shrugged, "I just really hate colleges."

Wanda nodded in understanding- she had tried the whole 'getting higher education' thing but she had quit after a few months because it didn't feel right without her twin brother, Pietro. Though Peter never met the speedster, he had heard great things about him.

"I would have to agree with you at that one," Wanda's accent wasn't as noticeable anymore but still there- a part of her upbringing that she had been trying not to lose, even taking lessons with Vision on making her Sokovian better.

Whitmore College wasn't huge- just a little big older than his old school in Queens but there was a considerable amount of students here. Peter wondered why that was the case considering the increasing death rate but he let it go considering the fact that vampires have the power to make humans forget.

Katherine tried on him. Obviously it hadn't worked but if Peter had any doubts before- he knew for sure that Katherine Pierce was a vampire as her tear-streaked face asked him to to forget everything they ever had.

He was over it now.

Kind of.

When Nick Fury asked him to stay back after the meeting, Peter was afraid that for some reason his family was involved in all this but the locations of siblings still remained unknown (except for Kai who was stuck in a prison world and a few others who were in a grave). Thankfully, it was just explaining how he would be going undercover with Wanda for some questioning and that he has to use his powers if it comes down to it.

Peter already knew that, of course- he had been able to control his siphoning now, his spider-powers becoming some sort of a beacon when danger arrived. His Aunt May called it the 'Peter-Tingle'... his powers activating on thier own at the face of danger helping the woman come face-to-face with that fact that her nephew was an Avenger.

"Hello," Wanda greeted a blonde woman who was standing just outside the cafeteria, "I was wondering you would help us."

The girl turned to look at them and the moment she did, Peter felt something- power... clearly something supernatural.

"Yes," she gave them a bubbly smile, "Of course I would! I am Caroline."

She seemed like a good person.

The red-head grinned, "I am Wanda and this is... my brother Peter."

My brother Peter.

That word felt like a poison in the young man's heart- he used to be someone's brother too. He would still be if he hadn't run away as a kid but then, if he hadn't, he would most likely be dead.

It was not a secret that Wanda and Peter were close- and surely Peter always saw Wanda as an older sister but for him, whenever someone said sister his mind would drift off to the ones he actually had- Jo, Livvy, Carol and Sarah.

"I was wondering if you could tell us something about Megan King?" Wanda asked.

Peter payed close attention to both women- he knew that Caroline's mind would be blocked from, such came the benefits of being dead and Wanda didn't really act well at the sense of powerlessness.

Caroline's eyes drifted and Peter was glad for his powers when he saw the way her eye twiched- she knew something.

His eyes narrowed and he questioned, "Maybe a roommate we can talk to?"

She gulped before shaking her head, "I am sorry- Megan was my roommate but only for a day before she died at the party. I wasn't even in the house when it happened- me and my friend Elena were talking to this guy named Jesse."

Peter nodded- though she didn't really have a very sound heartbeat, the man was able to detect the low regular sound that without any doubt reminded him of Katherine.

"We are sorry for making you uncomfortable, Miss," he apologized politely, "I am sorry that happened to you."

Caroline nodded, "Thank you for understanding but if you don't mind me asking- why are you looking into Megan?"

"Megan and I were patients together," Peter said, glad for the sound of KAREN in his ear as she fed him with information, "I just wanted to know what really happened to her."

"I am sorry I couldn't be more help," the blonde woman said before excusing herself when she saw a brunette standing at a distance.

Peter couldn't see the friend who was beckoning her from the way she stood, her back turned but there was something so familiar about her- like a song he memorized but now had difficulty recalling.

Soon, Wanda and Peter were alone again as they went inside the cafe, hoping for some food after they had closed of their connection with Bucky and Sam over the comms- they were arguing with each other over the fact that neither of them brought any food thinking the other person will.

"They don't ever shut up," Wanda shook her head as they sat down on one of the empty tables, "Get's annoying."

"Be lucky it wasn't Tony and Steve," Peter joked, "They are still not over about someone eating Steve's donut. Tony is still convinced that he didn't eat it."

"That's because he didn't," Wanda admitted with a laugh, "It was me- I was just tired and that donut looked really good."

Peter frowned, "They thought it was me! Steve even snuck into my room to find proof!"

The redhead witch shrugged, "Not gonna be sorry, Pete."

As the pair laughed, another blonde girl made her way to their table- a notepad in her hand and a bored expression on her face.

Peter was in a shock when he saw her face- she looked so much like his mom. Peter was so glad for the table under which his hands were hidden- they were shaking. He hadn't seen his mother since she died giving birth to little Ryan.

This girl was obviously younger than him- no more than eighteen or nineteen.

"Hi, I am Liv," she said and Peter felt another jolt of surprise realizing who exactly this was, "I am going to be your waitress today. Is there something you need?"

Liv- Olivia Parker.

This could be his little sister.

'Liv' looked up from her notepad her eyes darting off from Wanda and finally landing on Peter who was looking at her strangely. There was a look of recognition that passed through his eyes- a reminder of the fourteen year-old brother who risked his life to save her and her twin's.

"It can't be," she whispered as Peter stood up.

This couldn't be his little sister right?

"Peter?" She whispered- a vulnerability in her voice that sent a pang of guilt into the man's heart.

She wasn't a kid anymore.

"Livvy?" He was vaguely aware of Wanda reaching for her phone, "Is that really you?"

Katherine waited for Caroline as she talked to a pair of kids outside the cafeteria. Everyone in the 'Mystic Fall's Gang' knew she was back- all giving her their own sort of threats. Elena had been the worst to react- anger coming first and and then a chance for redemption.

Katherine was not allowed to remain without any companion- they wanted her to be under supervision at all times even though she had promised to not try anything. She understood their paranoia, of course but the woman couldn't wait to go to the bathroom on her own without someone waiting on her.

She looked at the people Caroline was talking to. Her eyesight was rotten- in simple words and she couldn't understand how humans when about their day being nearly blind.

The pair Caroline was talking to seemed similar at a level- as if she knew them but then Katherine had met a lot of people in her 500 years. They could easily be someone she had compelled before.

She turned around from them, her eyes darting off to the corner where her 'twin sister' Elena was talking to Luke Parker of all people in whispers. At that moment, Katherine once again wished for her vampire powers back. Being human made her weak and if there was one thing on Earth that she hated, it was the fact that when it came down to it- she wouldn't be able to protect herself.

"Katherine," Caroline pulled the girl out of her thoughts, "We should get going."

The pair had plans for that day- they were going to into a deeper study about this coven that Stefan had sent them. Katherine had never heard of the Genimi Coven but they really sounded a bunch of crazies to her. Apparently there were only a few of them left and that was the last thing the younger Salvatore had sent before going completely off the grid.

"Yeah," the woman nodded before asking, "Who were you talking to?"

"Ah, just a couple of people sniffing for trouble," Caroline shrugged, "They were asking about Megan."

Katherine raised her eyebrows, "Isn't that the roommate Enzo killed? Why would they want to know?"

"I don't know."

"And you didn't find out?" Katherine sighed at the young blonde, "The last thing we need right now is someone getting into our business- especially with whatever Elena's doing."

"I don't know," Caroline repeated, "They said their names was Wanda and Peter and-"

The former-vampire stopped at her tracks.

Wanda was a very rare name and Katherine was aware of one duo named 'Wanda and Peter'.

"How did he look?" Katherine gulped, "P-Peter I mean- how did he look?"

Caroline looked deep in thought, "He was about Damon's height, I guess and he had brown hair and very brown eyes. Really handsome."

The woman cursed herself for letting her past creep up on her.

"Do you know him?"

Katherine nodded- her eyes darting off to the cafeteria she figured the pair had disappeared off to, "I think it's my ex-boyfriend."
