"You can not be mad at me." Fleur spoke as she showed off the next dress. "How's this one?"

"I am mad at you." Johnny nodded his head. "And too pink, looks weird with your hair."

Fleur disappeared into the dressing room again. "I'm not picking Miyagi Do over you. It's just were I belong I feel, it was the first place I showed up after the whole thing."

"Yeah, but I thought you liked Eagle Fang." he argued with her from the other side of the door. "You and Miguel."

"I love Miguel, and I totally like Eagle Fang." Fleur opened the door to show off a yellow dress. "But, I just feel like Miyagi Do is more me. You're still my family, i'm not choosing anyone over you. How's this one?"

"I hate all of these, why so bright?" he threw his hands up. "And Miyagi Do already has a girl, we need you."

Fleur walked back in and grabbed the final dress she picked out. "Cousin, please, work with me on this one. I don't expect you to understand, I just expect you to accept it and still love me."

Fleur walked out in a golden, off the shoulder dress. She smiled. "What about this one?"

Johnny cracked a grin at her, nodding. "You found your guy."

"This is my guy?" she asked in excitement.

"That's your guy." he confirmed, standing up to high five her. "All right, can we get outta here? I'm feeling too feminist."

Fleur nodded, smiling. "Yeah, we can get outta here."

Johnny waited till she went back into the dressing room to lean on the door. "If you want to stay in Miyagi Do, I don't love the idea, but i'm not gonna be mad at you for it either. You're still, like, the cousin."

"Yeah." Fleur grinned from the other side. "The cousin."

Fleur watched her dad walk down stairs, placing her lunch on the step. She knew it was risky, but breaking the bathroom mirror was not going to be a waste of time. She charged at him, trying to stab her dad with the broken glass. They fell back on the stairs, but he was bigger and stronger then she was, grabbing her wrist tightly to pull it back. "What are you doing? I love you!"

"Let me go!" Fleur cried as he had her wrist, pulling her back down the steps. "Dad! Dad! Please, just let me go! I won't say anything!"

"I'm protecting you, Daisy." he pulling her back toward the pallet on the ground, pushing her into it. "You'll thank me one day."

She cried as she watched him go, her hand bleeding from the glass.

Fleur woke up with a small gasp, staring at the ceiling. She counted backwards, letting her mind remind her were she was, that she was safe, that she was at Moons, that her dad was locked up. Fleur crawled out of bed, finding her heart as she gave a small rub, inhaling deeply. She walked into the bathroom, the moon light outside lighting it up enough to avoid turning a light on. Fleur stared into the mirror a moment, turning the water on as she leaned down, splashing her face.

As she came back up, Fleur gasped loudly when she saw her father standing behind her in the mirror. Turning around, she was met with just the wall, nothing else. He wasn't there, just like he wasn't the other nights she'd see him. Fleur shut her eyes, shaking her head as she inhaled deeply. She decided that going to sleep wouldn't be an option, grabbing her skateboard and headed down stairs in her black and lavender pajamas.

Fleur was wrong.

She thought that Miyagi Do was where she felt safe, where she felt protected. She didn't, because sitting on her rock, she still felt unsafe and alone. Fleur was expecting it to go away, expecting to feel like she was protected. But, it never came. It wasn't Miyagi Do that made her feel safe, it wasn't the dojo that made her feel okay for once when she stumbled across it the day she escaped.

It was him.

Fleur left Miyagi Do, skating down the street. Demetri didn't live too far away from Sam, which was good, because Fleur was getting tired and cold. She found his house quickly, hiding her board in the bushes. She knocked gently on the window, a little code they'd created, three knocks, a pause, and one more single one.

Demetri opened the window with a tired look, squinting from the moon. "Fleur?"

"Hi." she gave a small smile, looking at him through his own window. "Can I stay here tonight?"

"Is everything okay?" he asked her, backing up.

"Just a hard night." she answered, crawling in the window and rolling onto his bed infront of him. He moved the sheets back some so she could get in, being against the wall.

"Your dad?" Demetri asked, letting her scoot over as he got back in. Fleur nodded her head. Demetri held his arm out, letting Fleur scoot closer as her head laid down on his chest, Demetris abnormally long arm going around her as they laid there. Her heart was beating fast, his eyes were fluttering shut. "I've got you, Fleur."

She shut her eyes, arms tightening around his waist.

"Would you leave me alone? You don't get to criticize me on my date when your girlfriend is the devil herself." Fleur mocked Demetri the next morning when he brought up Kody. "You've never even talked to him, why are you talking such shit?"

"You wanna go to prom with a brainless dude?" he asked in disbelief, following her out of the house and locking the door. "He's a complete himbo!"

"He is not, he's smart!" Fleur defended him.

"Why are you defending him? You've spoken twice!" Demetri tossed his hands up as she got her board from the bushes. "Dump him. He could be a serial killer."

"So, first he's a himbo and now he's a serial killer?" Fleur looked in disbelief. "What next? You're gonna say he's a sea creature?"

"He could be!" he said back with wide eyes, earning an eye roll. "Do you even like him?"

"He's sweet." Fleur defended Kody again. "You'd know if you bothered to talk to him."

"Oh, and say what? 'Hey, Kody. Turns out we share a person.' " Demetri mocked, watching Fleur get on her board. "Yasmine isn't even coming to prom, leave him."

"No." Fleur gave a point. "I have the right to date people too!"

"No!" Demetri yelled as she road down the street. "You don't get to date himbos! I will put a curse on the both of you!"

He looked to his neighbor, who was watering her plants with a weird look his way. Demetri gave a tight lipped smile. "Morning, Mrs.Evans."
