"lizzy"

"I THOUGHT WEREWOLVES CAN'T GET drunk!"

Lynn wasn't even paying attention to the words that fell from Scott's mouth, mostly because she was much too occupied between two things. One, the absolutely delicious punch that she had in one hand, and two, she was having too much fun swinging her hips to the beat of the song.

About an hour or so had passed since Lynn had her first cup of punch, and she hadn't stopped there. Truthfully, she had lost count of the many glasses Lydia had managed to sneak into her hands.

"Evelynn! Hey!" Scott repeated again, tugging on her elbow to pull the girl slightly away from the dancing. "I thought werewolves couldn't get drunk?"

Lynn let out a massively dramatic sigh from being yanked from the dance floor, but then she turned towards Scott while placing both her palms on his shoulders.

"We can't," Lynn answered simply, and then tried to swing on her heels back to the dancing, but was once again pulled from Scott latching onto her wrist. She pouted, managing up her best puppy dog face. "Scotty, we can't get drunk, alright? I answered your question, now let me go back to—"

"—Then what do call this?" Scott questioned, referring to how Lynn was most definitely acting drunk.

Lynn shrugged, "A buzz."

"Something's wrong," Scott shook his head, blinking a few times as he felt the buzz himself. "And it isn't the full moon."

Lynn was interrupted when she heard her familiar ringtone echo from her back pocket, and she awkwardly fished it out while taking another huge sip of the alcoholic beverage. A part of her hummed in absolute happiness when she recognized Derek's contact.

"Got to take this, Scotty, but I suggest you enjoy the buzz while it lasts," Lynn suggested with an extremely wide smile, and she patted her best friends shoulder while clicking the green accept button on the phone.

Knowing she wouldn't be able to hear with the song blasting in her ears, she went back inside. She squeeze through a few people to return back to the original room she used to talk to Matt. She pressed the phone to her ear, taking another swig of the glass, sighing as she noticed she would soon need another.

"Well, hello, wet dog."

"Back to that nickname, huh?" Derek teased through the phone, and Lynn smiled to herself while collapsing to the bed on her back. "Are you busy? Wait, is that music I hear?"

"Mhm," Lynn hummed, and then she let a little giggle escape her lips while playing with a loose string. "I am very busy, very, I don't think I could squeeze you into the schedule."

"Evelynn, are you okay?" Derek questioned, and another giggle rippled through the air. "What's going on?"

"So, we're all at Lydia's birthday party and she has this amazing punch, right? It tastes good, but like really burns. Oh! And I punched Matt, can you believe that idiot tried touching me? God, what an asshole, but it did feel good," Lynn rambled quickly, and she wasn't even sure if Derek could understand her. "What're you doing? I can't imagine a sourwolf like yourself just enjoying the evening, hm?"

"You sound drunk," Derek concluded, and a hiccup echoed from Lynn at the same time. "Very drunk, but that doesn't make sense...Evelynn, could someone had given you something?"

Lynn was laughing to herself even though Derek hadn't said anything necessarily funny, and she quickly switched over to the hallway full of people. But that lighthearted smile immediately dropped as she saw the back a brunette girl covered in blood, from head to toe, from her soaked hair to her sticky clothes, the girl was drenched in the thick liquid.

She looked so familiar...

"Lizzy?" Lynn mumbled in complete disbelief, her face completely straightened out as she slowly lifted from the bed. "Derek, I'm gonna have to call you back."

"Evelynn, who's Lizzy? Look, just stay on the—"

Derek didn't have an opportunity to finish his sentence as Lynn hung the phone up. She trailed from the bedroom and peaked into the hallway, but she had lost sight of the girl, and Lynn blinked several times to clear her head.

But then she saw her again.

The girl was turning the corner just as Lynn's eyes caught her, and she immediately darted after her going down the sideways hallway.

"Hey, stop!" Lynn called out, pushing and shoving her way through the crowd as she tried desperately to keep up with the girl. "Wait!"

Lynn rounded one more corner and nearly slammed straight into a closed door, and she didn't see any other possible way of exit. So, she carefully peeled open the door, revealing a crystal clean bathroom.

The brunette girl was standing with her back towards Lynn, and she sounded as if she was crying. Lynn gulped the fear rising up in the back of her throat, and carefully reached to touch the girls shoulder.

But just as her fingertip was merely an inch away from touching the blood spattered girl, she swung on her hips towards Lynn. She wrapped her slender fingers around Lynn's throat, constricting her breathing like a snake, and she frantically banged on the girls arms in an attempt at getting her off. She was pressed against the white wall, her head ricocheted off of it.

"You killed me, Evelynn, this is all your fault," the girl spat like venom, and Lynn just stood in disbelief as she felt every ounce of air being sucked out of her lungs.

"Lizzy?" Lynn managed to get out between choked breathes, and tears threatened the back of her eyes. "Lizzy, stop, please."

The girl only looked to be a few years younger than Lynn, with the same brunette strands of hair and familiar blue eyes.

"You're the reason I'm dead."

Lizzy finally let go of Lynn's throat, and the girl fell to the ground in a sudden heap of limbs as she gasped out, frantic for breathes of air. Lynn glanced up from the ground, but Lizzy was no where to be seen, but replaced with Scott and Stiles.

Both of the boys immediately kneeled down on opposite sides of Lynn to calm her from her thrashing. Her was breath was rapid and short, and she felt a panic attack rising in her chest, and the tears were now slipping down her eyes.

"No, no!" Lynn shouted out, clasping her eyes shut to control her tears. "Where did she go? Where did Lizzy go!?"

"Evelynn, you need to breath!" Scott shouted out, grasping onto her shoulder to push her back against the wall instead of rocking back and forth. "No one came out, Lynn, it was just you in here."

"No, no, no..." Lynn cried out, another tear slipping from her eye, and she rose her arms to cover to her face. "Lizzy was just here!"

"Who's Lizzy, Evelynn?" Stiles questioned, glancing up with extreme concern towards Scott, and then back down at Lynn.

"My sister! Where did my sister go!"

———

"Yeah, well, that was a shitshow."

Lynn gripped a soft, grey towel to her face that was just previously splashed with water during her little freakout. She was damn near about to murder Stiles when he dumped the bottle of water on her, but was then explained the whole situation on how they were drugged by the punch Lydia made — and how it was making them delusional and start to see things that didn't exist.

Lynn threw the towel on the kitchen counter as she and Stiles made their way from inside the house back outside. Once Lynn had snapped out of it, Scott had taken off to look around everywhere for Lydia to see what she had put in the liquid, but she had yet to be found.

"Hey, I can't find her," Stiles explained as Scott jumped from around the pool, glancing at both Lynn and Stiles. "And dude, anyone who drank that crap, they're freaking out."

Lynn was happy that the second she was finally able to calm down, the boys hadn't interrogated her about the supposed bloody girl Lynn had saw — about Lizzy. She knew she would eventually have to talk about the reason she has blue eyes, but she wanted to put it off for as long as she could.

      "I can see that."

Lynn perked her eyebrows up with slight impression as two boys decided to jump into the pool with all do their clothes on, and Lynn confusingly glanced towards Scott and Stiles for their reactions, which was almost the exact same as hers.

"What the hell do we do?" Stiles questioned, and Lynn couldn't imagine that they could dump everyone's head under water, could they?

"I don't know, but we gotta—"

Scott was interrupted when a boy started to scream out, but she couldn't see where. Then, a boy was shoved forward from the crowd by two, much taller and bigger boys, and Lynn tilted her head off to the side. It was Matt.

"I can't swim! I can't swim!" Matt repeatedly shouted, but it didn't seem like the two boys seemed to give a single care in the world. They shoved Matt into the water with no regret crossing their faces, instead it was filled with amusement.

But just as Lynn was about to shoot forward to help the boy thrashing and flailing in arms in the water, she abruptly stopped herself as Jackson launched forward to help the boy. The concern littered Lynn's face was replaced as Jackson dragged Matt from the pool by his jacket, and the only thing left was shock.

      It couldn't be him, right?

"What are you looking at!?" Matt growled towards every single person staring at him, his chest heaving up and down frantically.

His frustrated eyes then met those of Lynn's, and her mouth was ajar from how much anger was in them. Lynn instinctively backed up a foot or so, and accidentally bumped into Stiles, where he grabbed Lynn by both of her shoulders to pull her attention towards him.

"What is it, Lynn?" Stiles asked with concern, searching Lynn's body to see why she had stiffened so much.

"It's him. Matt's the one controlling the kanima."
