"Cassie!" Lucas called as he walked outside when he wasn't able to find her, seeing her standing with Jason near the car.

"Well, well, look who decided to join us." the curly haired boy smiled to him.

"What are you guys doing?" Lucas walked closer, taking a double take toward Cassie to try and read the look in her eye.

"We're gearing up." Patrick said in return as he tossed the bag in the car.

"Preparing for the hunt." Jason nodded. "Cassie was just telling us a few possible spots she would bet Eddie was at."

Lucas realized she was just working her genius magic to throw them off.

"Hay, man. Relax." Jason walked closer as Lucas eyed all the weapons they were loading. "We're not killers like Eddie. We just wanna talk to him. Get him to admit his crime."

"Yeah, a little friendly neighborhood chat." the boy with the hat said, pulling Cassie into his side as she winced and tried to wiggle out of his grasp.

"Hey." Jason faced Lucas again. "You didn't know Chris. If you're not up to this, you can go home. There's no judgement. You'll still be one of us, all right?"

"What about her?" Lucas nodded back to Cassie, who looked terribly uncomfortable but stuck under one of his teammates arms.

"Cas?" Jason looked back at her. "Well, we need her navigation."

"That's why I explain every little detail on how to get to the location." Cassie spoke up, not realizing what she got herself into.

"Yeah, but we'll be quicker with your eyes." Jason gave her his best smile.

"No." Lucas spoke up. "I'm good. I'll go. I wanna help."

"All right." Jason smiled. "Let's capture us a freak."

The boy removed his arm from Cassie and playfully pushed her. Lucas caught her. "Are you okay?"

"Shouldn't we be trying to break this bone chilling news to Dustin or the police?" Cassie whispered as she looked up at him. "I can handle your friends."

"I'm not leaving you alone with them." Lucas said in return, taking her hand. "We'll lead them away then make a run for it. Together."

Cassie nodded, tightening her hand in his.

"So, just take a right up here." Cassie spoke as she leaned forward some. "You'll pass the radiate red sign that might remind you of the heart of a lost solider at war, determined to find his destiny back with his bride."

Lucas cleared his throat, pulling Cassie back in the seat some. Jason went to take the turn before stopping. "Well, well, well, what do we have here?"

Cassies heart dropped she saw Gareth out of her window. They usually didn't practice on Saturdays because he worked the weekend shift. "Jason, you really should take the r-"

"Yeah, hang on, Cas." he waved her off and pulled into the drive way. "Let's go boys."

Cassie and Lucas shared a worried look, getting out and trailing in the back. Gareth smiled as he walked from his garage. "A little early, fellas. Shows not till next week."

"Oh, that was music you were playing?" one of the boys mocked.

"We're looking for Eddie Munson." Jason cut in as he stared at the curly haired boy. "He's in this band, if they'd what you call this."

"What do you care?" Gareth shrugged, he looked back and locked eyes with Cassies. Hers casted down guilty like.

"That's our business." Jason shook his head.

"Lucas? Cas? What's going on?" Gareth got their attention, Jason turned back to stare at the pair. "What are you doing with these douchebags?"

"You two know these freaks?" Jason rose his voice at the pair.

"W-" Cassie started.

Lucas cut her off, knowing her big words would make them all look guilty. "They know my sister. They tried to recruit us to their...club, cult?"

"Lucas, Cassie, what the hall?" the boy in blue laughed in disbelief at their actions.

"Eddie clearly isn't here." Cassie nudged Jason. "We should just leave."

"Glad someone has eyes." Gareth shrugged.

Cassie gasped as Jason hit him right in the face, Lucas grabbed her wrist quickly as his eyes went wide. Patrick and the other boy held the two in the garage back.

"Where is he?" Jason grasped Gareth by the shirt.

"We need to leave." Cassie whispered to Lucas. "Right now."

"They'll know something is up." he whispered back to her.

"I don't care." Cassie shook her head.

"I care because they'll come after us next. After you." he shook his head, holding her wrist a little tighter.

Jason hit Gareth again, taking him to the ground as his friends yelled for him to let him go. Jason tossed Gareth into his drums before stepped on his hand. Lucas tossed his hands up in worry, looking around. Cassie ran off. "Cas!"

She ran around the house, having hung out here a few times to know that Gareth had a lot of odd trinkets in his bedroom, which the window was almost always open to. She rolled in on his bed, bouncing off and searching around his small desk. She dropped a few things, hoping he would forgive her for it.

"Thank you whatever soul crushing, heart warming god is casting their eyes down on me." Cassie looked up at the sky before flipping the police alarm Gareth had, dropping it on his bed and jumping out the window again.

"Jason! Lucas!" Cassie ran around the garage quickly. "Cops are coming, we need to go!"

"Cops?" Jason looked back in worry.

"You can get charged for assault with this." she shook her head. "We need to get going this very morning minute. Let's go!"

The boys followed her, because her plan worked. Lucas grabbed her arm. "They know about Dustin."

"What?" she asked as everyone got in the car, her eyes wide.

"They know about Dustin." he repeated as they stared at each other in panic.

Cassie and Lucas ran around Dustin's house as the boys banged on his front door. Lucas held her waist as she went through the window first, rolling on the bed and off onto the floor as Lucas followed. Cassie turned the radio on quickly. "Dustin! Dustin, please stop whatever over powering, emotional activity you are doing and answer us!"

"Cas?" Dustin called back.

"And Lucas." Cassie nodded.

"Where the hell have you two been?" he asked in annoyance and anger from the other line.

"Just listen." Lucas said back quickly. "Are you guys looking for Eddie?"

"Yeah, and we found him. No thanks to the two of you." Dustin mocked.

"You can be extraordinarily anger filled at us later. This is important! Life or death!" Cassie yelled back as she leaned in closer.

"You found Eddie?" Lucas asked quickly.

"He's at a boathouse on Coal Mill Road." Dustin said from the other end of his walkie. "Don't worry, he's safe."

"You guys know he killed Chrissy, right?" Lucas and Cassie shared a similar insane look.

"That's bullshit!" Dustin got defensive in return. "Eddie tried to save Chrissy."

"Why are the police running their mouths, claiming he took her life?" Cassie asked in return, usually not the one confused.

"Lucas, Cassie, you both are so behind it's ridiculous, okay?" Max' voice suddenly filled the speaker. "Just meet us at the school and we'll explain later."

"We'll get their as fast as our feet and the wind can travel us." Cassie promised.

"We can't." Lucas shook his head at her.

"What are you talking about?" Max spoke up.

"I think so real bad shit is about to go down." he said in return.

Cassie heard a snap from outside, she ran to the window. "They're coming."

Lucas turned off the radio quickly. "We should hide."

But they were too close, she clasped her hand over his wrist and pulled him in closer to her. "My greatest apologies in advance."

Before he could ask what she meant, Cassie placed a gentle hand on his cheek and pulled him in for a kiss.

Lucas was taken off guard and shocked by it, but at the same time almost was expecting it. Not in that moment, but soon maybe. Things had been a little different lately, and he knew she liked him from her notebook he found nearly a year ago. But, that was months and months ago. Apart of him thought maybe things changed, like she'd stopped liking him the second he started liking her. Either way, he kissed her back for the few seconds they had.

"Sinc-" Jason began as he came to the widow. "Woah, my bad."

Cassie pulled back and stared at him like she didn't know he was coming. "Can't you knock!"

He motioned to the opened window. "You guys really ran off to make out in a moment like this?"

"All my apologies granted to you." Cassie climbed out the window as Lucas followed.

"Well, we were looking for clues." Lucas backed up Cassies story so they weren't mad at them.

"Clues?" Patrick rose his eyebrows. "In your girlfriends mouth? What, freshman think he's Sherlock Holmes or something?"

"Yo, let's go." Jason encouraged.

Cassie and Lucas shared a panicked look. "We found one."

"What?" Jason turned.

"A clue." Cassie nodded.

"We know where Eddie's hiding." Lucas confirmed.
