ERIN FOUND PEACE. It had been years since she had left Mystic Falls for the second time. Since that, the time had gone by and soon enough she saw people she knew find their peace. She had seen Liz Forbes, her mother, and Damon's brother Stefan. Stefan and she talked a lot after he found his peace. The two were alike in many ways and she showed him everything good in finding peace.

He told her about his sacrifice and how Damon was now human. It broke Erin's heart when Stefan told her about his wedding day. It was in the past now.

Erin sat at her infamous spot on Wickery Bridge kicking her feet back and forth when she heard footsteps behind her, "Didn't think I'd find you here." Erin's eyebrows perked up when she heard the familiar voice of her long-lost friend. She turned her head and saw nonother than Damon Salvatore. Erin swung her feet over with a big smile on her face as she ran to Damon and gave him a tight embrace.

"You're here!" she squeaked, "Oh my god, you're here."

Damon smiled, "Look, I know I'm popular but you have to let go,"

Erin laughed and hit his shoulder playfully, "Shut up, I haven't seen you since that day on the bridge."

Damon smiled softly, "I know and a lot has happened since."

Erin stuck her hands in her pockets, "I know, I've seen your brother. He told me about what you almost did, sacrificing your life. And how he turned you human and how Elena came back and you two got married."

Damon laughed, "Erin."

"What?" She laughed, "I didn't think you would do something like that, I'm proud of you Damon."

"Your advice stuck in my head after you left," He added.

Erin giggled, "Oh, stop, I feel flattered," she started, "I also heard you have kids, I hope they came out as attractive as you and Stefan."

Damon rolled eyes but smiled at the mention of his kids, "Well, they are Salvatores."

"How many?" She asked.

"Two," Damon held up two fingers, "A boy and a girl."

"That is adorable," she commented, "What did you name them?"

"We named the boy Stefan, you know after everything. And we named the girl Erin." Damon looked at Erin to see her reaction. Erin's face softened at what Damon said and she felt her eyes tear up.

She took in a deep breath, "Y-you named your daughter after me? There's an Erin Salvatore out there in the world."

Damon nodded, "Indeed there is," he answered, "And I couldn't be any more proud of her because she grew to be an amazing human."

"Oh my god, Damon," Erin said wiping the tears from her eyes, "You're making me cry."

"How about we do something here?" Damon asked, "How good is finding peace, it's great."

Erin grabbed Damon's hand, "You should see your brother, he's been going crazy about meeting you."

Damon licked his lips, "I don't know if I'm ready,"

All Erin could muster is a smile, "Of course you are."

And just like that, they met again after death. Erin always remained in Damon even after she left, her wise words of wisdom stuck even when he was at his wit's end. Damon and Elena's kids grew to be successful and after their parent's death, they remained strong. Sommer, Carson's daughter, grew to be strong as well. Her mother found peace in knowing Erin was okay and when she saw her daughter once more, Erin was finally happy.

We are not perfect human beings, nor do we have to pretend to be, but it is necessary for us to be the best version of ourselves we can be.
