Cynthia dropped her phone back on her bed and stood up walking over to her closet. She put on her clothes and shoes then grabbed her phone and keys before leaving her room and jogging downstairs.

"Hey Cynthia, can you help me set the table?" Charli asked seeing her older sister.

"I wish I could, but I gotta go." Cynthia replied walking past Charli, but she was stopped by her mom.

"Where are you going?" Heidi smiled at her oldest daughter.

"Paige asked me to go over to her house." Cynthia said.

"Why don't you stay for dinner then go over?" Her mom said kindly.

"I can't. She really needs me right now. She's going through something and I need to be there for my best friend." Cynthia lied.

"Ok. Fine." Heidi said quietly as she watched Cynthia walk right past her and out of the house.

Cynthia jumped into her car and started her music before speeding off to Paige's house.
