Weird!

I thought the beige man and I had an unspoken mutual agreement to stay clear of each other. What was he doing sitting down in my club?

Shamelessly staring at me dancing, even.

During the entire performance of Addicted by Chris Brown, I kept stealing glances at him, trying to see if he was watching me and indeed he was. My fear level was high up in the sky that I could have sworn that I would trip and fall during the performance. After the song finished playing, I quickly left the stage and went back to my dressing room.

"Are you okay?" Nova questioned. I took a seat on the red velvety recamier and took a deep calming breath. "Water!" I said.

Raven passed a bottle of water to me. I chugged it down and took another deep breath. Knowing the beige man was extremely close to where I was, was unsettling.

Was he here to kill another person?

What if he does something to me?

Those questions ran through my head as I tried to calm myself down.

"Are you fine?" Nova questioned again. This time, I responded with a nod. I didn't want her or anyone to know what happened between the beige man and me. I didn't want them asking questions. I also didn't want the beige man to threaten them the way he did to me.

I was keeping things from them for their own good. Nova and Raven would never find a better friend than me.

"Are you sure?" Raven asked.

"Yeah. I'm just tired. Hey, can we clean the glitters on my thighs off with some wipes? It's staining my white boots and it may be hard to remove afterwards," I changed the subject.

"Are you sure? You know being covered in glitter is like your signature look," Raven chimed in. "I know, but It's my second performance of the night. It won't make a difference if the skin glitters are gone. Plus, I won't take hours trying to get it off my body when I get home," I let out.

"Okay," Nova responded. She went into my bag and grabbed face wipes. She passed some to Raven and they began to wipe the glitters from my thighs and the edge of the white boots that got stained.

"Wraya, we have a request," Nova uttered while wiping my arms. "Okay?" I let out.

"Can we become your backup dancers? I-It's just we have been coming to the club for over two months now and we haven't been doing anything here. We came yesterday hoping Tommy would allow us to perform on stage but he didn't say anything," Nova said.

Was that her ulterior motive? Was that why she befriended me?

"We haven't been making money for a while now and we don't want to keep living off you. We want to be able to pitch in the bills at home," Raven said.

"Okay, I'll talk to Tommy. We might perform together, on my next working day," I agreed either way. Ulterior motive or not, they've been nice to me since day one.

"I knew you would agree. You're such a good person. You're one of the best people I've ever met in my life and I love you for that," Nova said and suddenly gave me a hug. I paused for a second before wrapping my hands around her.

"Me too!" Raven joined in the hug.

After an hour, with my hair and makeup retouched, I was ready to do my last dance before heading home and I couldn't hope more that the beige man won't be in the club anymore but my fear level rose even higher when I stepped on stage and saw him still sitting in the same spot I left him at.

Was he at the club for me? Was he planning to threaten me again?

C'mon by Jhené Aiko started playing and I did my moves. During the entire performance, I was sweating profusely and my heart was beating at the speed of light. I hadn't wished to be home more.

When the song ended, I wasted no time as I ran backstage. As I was walking to my dressing room, I found Gift standing among some girls in the passage. We made eye contact for some seconds before I decided to break it and continue walking.

I had no idea was emotions were displayed on her face because I wasn't in the right state of mind but I came to the conclusion that there were no other emotions she could feel towards me other than jealousy.

She was just a jealous bitch.

If she was a good friend then she would have contacted me and apologised for the way she treated me.

One hundred per cent bottom feeder.

I stepped into my dressing room and began to loosen the lace holding the corset together. Raven and Nova stood up immediately and started taking the dress off me.

"Let's leave immediately!" I let out. Nova and Raven exchanged looks before continuing what they were doing.

After taking off the dress and putting on my normal clothes, I headed to Tommy's office. "I'll be leaving now," I let out.

"Yes. As usual, your performance was great and you made a lot of money. I'll send your pay to you as soon as possible," He said.

"Also Tommy, I have a favour to ask. Can Fairy and Pixie be my dancers from my next performance forward? I feel like the stage is kind of empty when I perform," I let my body drop on the black-leathered sofa in his office.

"What do you mean empty? You are the best dancer this club has ever seen. Better than Siren. The stage couldn't look more occupied when you're on it. You're Glitter! The face of the club. You make so much money. You don't need some measly girls to ruin your dance. The moment you step on the stage, thousands were already getting thrown, getting paid,"

"But still, I want them to be my dancers. Who knows, we might make even more money," I let out. Tommy's weakness was money. I was sure he loves money more than he loves himself.

"You know what, starting from your next performance, they will perform with you. But I want to see an increase in numbers. Money must be flowing!" He said, earning a nod from me.

"Of course!" I let out and stood up. I headed towards the exit but was stopped by Tommy's voice. "Wait, Glitter!" He called and I turned back.

"What would you say if I said some VVVIPs wants you in the backroom?" He said hesitatingly.

"Absolutely not!" I exclaimed. What was he saying? It was enough embarrassment for me to shake my ass in thongs in front of horny men, I would only go into prostitution when pigs fly.

"It's not so bad. They are offering to pay almost half a million just for a little time with you in the backroom," Tommy stood up from his chair and stepped closer to me.

"Absolutely not, Tommy! I already make almost 100k a night. I can't, I won't spend any time with anyone in the back room even if the 'V' in their 'VIP' is longer than a train," I stated and angrily stomped out of his office.

"What did he say?" Nova questioned regarding her and Raven becoming my dancers. "He said yes," I responded.

"Thank you!" Raven and Nova said in unison and pulled me into a tight hug. It was so tight, I struggled to breathe.

We headed toward the club exit. "Hello, I'm sorry for the disturbance but my boss wants you to have this," A nice-looking man said to me and gave me a business card. He pointed at some dude sitting from afar and I could already tell he was a rich businessman.

"KATLON GROUP." I read out before handing the card over to Nova. "She'll think about it," Nova said to the man before we headed out.

"Did you see that man? His boss?" Raven whispered. "Yeah, he's hot. You should definitely call him," Nova said.

"As you said, I'll think abou—"

"Wraya!" I was cut off by none other than the beige man. Nova, Raven and I exchanged looks before leaving the girls and stepping closer to him.

"H-hello?" I let out hesitatingly. It came out more like a question than a greeting.

"Erm-how are you?" He questioned. My jaw almost dropped from shock. What was he doing asking me how I was? Was this a joke? Or perhaps a dream?

"I am good?" To be honest, I wanted to respond with 'I don't think our relationship is good enough to be enquiring about each other's wellness' but knowing he could pull out a gun and threaten to kill my mom, I just kept quiet and responded with a simple answer.

"Erm-your performance was great," He let out. My jaw dropped even lower and I became even more shocked than I already was.

"What do you mean my performance was great?" That was just me questioning reality. I had no idea what was going on.

"Y-you did well on stage, both the first and the second dance, I-I couldn't take my eyes off you," he stuttered and I came to the conclusion that everything was a dream.

He was stammering!!

He was fucking stammering!!

The same man that pointed a real-life gun at me and threatened to kill both me and my mom was suddenly asking me how I was and complimenting me while stammering!

Un-fucking-real!
