Vicky pov.

Your best friend called you early the following day to inform you that Jin- Goo and Hwannie got acquainted and that her father smitten with her baby. You were shocked to know that Jin-goo slept over. Your friend quickly defends herself, telling you that it was pretty late and he wanted to be there when Hwannie woke up.

You can sense that your friend was delighted to have had JinGoo in her presence and sleeping at her place. You invite your friend over because you and Jin Goo had to come clean about your secret royal status and Hwannie's lineage. You know your friend will be stunned at the revelation, and you hope she'll understand.

Your maid was lovely enough to come early and spring clean your apartment. She works both for you and Jin Goo. Also, your "secret service" parents are back from a vacation in The US. However, they went to Spain to report on you and Jin Goo.

Your whole palace was wondering if you were dating. Your family thought they could set you up with Jin Goo's forgotten childhood friend, Count Edwardo.

When you saw him at Jin Goo's sixteenth birthday a few years ago, he was a very calm, relaxed, and introverted type of royal. Although you didn't interact with him, you didn't like nor dislike him. You only remember taking a selca with him at the party. He was quite charming but cold. Most of the princesses and ladies-in-waiting loved him but he never spoke or show interest in any of you. Although your cousins would snicker and told you the counts' eyes were always on your "royal shyness."

Your mother told you that he turned out to be a very handsome young man. He recently completed his military service in the Royal Air Force Defence department.

As long as he does not turn out to be evil like Prince Ino. Everybody was so fooled by his apparent charm but inside that heart was pure evil lurking.

Even if you ended up being Tarnished, you would gladly let your parents arrange the marriage with Edwardo, but deep inside, you hope you have a soul mark to meet the one genuinely destined for you. You feel it in your gut that the Count will be in Spain so that the two of you can get to know each other on a more personal level.

 You wonder does he have an "unsuitable" soulmate. You know that this week in Spain will be a very interesting week with Count Edwardo, Princess Francesca and her family and all the royal issues with Tala and Hwannie.

Knowing that your childhood love has already found his soulmate in a famous Korean-American rapper named Jia left you with deep sadness. The sadness of a love loss brought you to tears.

Joonie still has your heart, but now that he is so famous, you realise just how different your backgrounds are: a pop star and a princess. Your true self is unknown to him.

Jin Goo told you that you would fly to Spain on the royal charter on Sunday evening. As a result of his parents' fury, he sounded very nervous. The marriage negotiations have come to a halt. The entire week, Princess Francesca was crying over the loss of Prince Jin Goo. 

Despite her parents' insistence that she must let go of him, she wants to meet Jin-Goo face to face before making a final decision.

Hwannie and Tala came over in the afternoon. The whole time, Jin-Goo was talking to his mother, who wanted to see all the pics of Hwannie. It was hard work for Tala to deal with a hyperactive 4-year-old. Hwannie was very demanding and it was exhausting for Tala.

You and Jin-Goo were sitting in the lounge when the mother and daughter arrived. Jin-Goo caught Hwannie's eye, and she ran up to him without thinking of her aunty (Ajumma).

As her father extended his hands, she ran like a whirlwind. Your eyes widen as you see the love your cousin gave his daughter. He's never been so soft and loving before. He was always the calmest and the coolest. Hwannie instantly changed his life. She told him what her mom made her for lunch.

Then Tala hugged you, and you looked at her as you dragged her to the kitchen.

" What did you do to my fierce cousin?"You said softly in an astonished tone.

Tala just shrugged," Hwannie happened. When she woke up, she wanted her dad. He, fortunately, was still there sleeping in the guestroom. She didn't care, and she jumped on him. At first, he was so shocked by his surroundings but seeing her made him so excited. They were hanging out, but he didn't stay for breakfast. He only drank a cup of coffee."

You look at her teasingly," You sound so family-like already... you're so domestic."

Tala smiled wryly," I don't know how we will handle the visitation situation. She cried this afternoon, demanding to see him. I had to put him on speaker and video so she could speak with him...Vicky. What should I do? There is a steady woman in his life, and he is also a celebrity. Hwannie will ruin his relationship...I already did. She wants all his attention. Oh my gosh, this is so messed up." Tala looked anxious, yet you just hugged her as a consolation. You don't know how she will react to your royal status. Nobody knows, but you knew you had to be honest with her.

His laughter was booming when he heard Hwannie's cute words. He could hug and kiss her cheeks all day. He loves his baby girl so much. The thought that he won't be with her every day already pains him. Whenever he is with her, he treasures every moment, and he wants her more and more in his life.

As You and Tala entered the lounge area, he looked up.

"Hi, Tala...good to see you? " He looked at your nervous friend and smiled genuinely at her. She smiles and bows in response to the greeting. You watched, amused as they exchanged words. Jin Goo was delighted to see Tala. Maybe they will form a great friendship for Hwannie's sake.

Your grin spreads across your face as you ask Hwannie to come with you. In your guestroom, you had all the Barbie movies. Your surprise for Hwannie included a Barbie doll and a movie.

"Ooh, ajumma..."Hwannie ran up to you and tightly embraced you." Thank you."

"Good girl. eomma and Appa will talk a bit, and then you can watch your Barbie movie, okay. You kissed her on the forehead and pressed the button to start the movie. This will give you time to talk about your trip to Spain. AJumma put some snacks on the table.

Tala and Jin Goo were conversing softly. Jin-Goo wanted to know more about Hwannie school.

You look a little distressed and wary at your friends' reactions. You look at JinGoo and signal him to begin.

You started with a nervous expression across your face as you and Jin Goo explained your royal status. You inhaled deeply and looked at Tala's questioning eyes." Tala, we have a confession to make..."

....Tala was in total shock until she jumped up breathless.

"Oh my gosh...Oh my gosh!!! You are royalty...Oh gosh!!! Am I in trouble?"She looks frantic at the two stunned royals.

"No, you're not. I'm sorry to have kept it a secret for almost eight years, Tala...but it was necessary...my life was in "danger" you look guilty and saddened by the fact that you had to divulge your secret unexpectedly.

"The Philippines kingdom was embroiled in a political dispute with a neighbouring monarch. We had to leave the country and go into hiding. The former king wanted Vicky as a bride to unite our two kingdoms. Then he went back on his word and stopped the economic flow of our regions. He wanted  Vicky and our kingdom. He died by assassination, by his bodyguards." Jin Goo explains to a visibly shaken Tala. He told her about King Ino, the kidnapping, and the failed coup. The new safe palaces, etc. Tala was stunned. That's a big deal. Who would have thought?

Tala eyes were wide" So you and Vicky are not only best friends, but you are also her real cousin and personal bodyguard. Vicky is the king's daughter, and you are the king's brother's son...Oh, my word...that makes Hwannie...Oh, the peaches!" she exclaimed when she realised the lineage of her daughter.

Jin Goo stood before your very anxious best friend, who started hyperventilating because of apparent shock.

"Please breathe, Tala ... yes, Hwannie is a royal princess. As soon as I locked eyes with her, I knew she was mine. She has a royal heart on her ear. It was because of this that you had our baby in Seoul's royal hospital. Attention and perks. Hwannie was the first baby princess born to our dynasty in Seoul." She stared at him, stunned as he rubbed her shoulders. "It registered your pregnancy as royal," he said.

"I'm so sorry...to have destroyed your life the way I did. It was Vicky who told me about your marriage! I was so embarrassed. I didn't want you to know about her. "Tala began to cry, and her eyes were filled with tears.

You embraced Tala, saying, "We don't blame you. You didn't realise you had given birth to a princess. Due to the royal seal, your and Hwanniee's names are on our family tree in one of our royal palaces in Spain.  Jin Goo family is now temporarily. His parents live in one of their villas, and they wish to meet their first grandchild."

"What! No way will I meet royalty...Jin Goo, please...I am going to die. I don't even know how royal customs work." Tala breathed out.

You soothe her nerves by assuring her, " Tala, it will ok. Let Hwannie meet the royal family. The whole immediate family is waiting to meet her. Jin Goo sisters can't wait to see their little niece. We have to go on Sunday. The Queen mother, that's my grandma...is waiting on us."

"This is so surreal. Do I have to go with..." Tala bit on her fingers, and her eyes were as round as plates.

"Unfortunately, yes. My mother wants to see the girl ...I deflowered at the age of 18. She has a little more mercy for you because she learned that you're Vicky best friend, and you didn't have any knowledge about our royalty." Jin Goo looked deep into Tala's troubled eyes, and to everyone's surprise, he took Tala in his arms and embraced her softly. In open awe, you widen your eyes.

Jin Goo shows affection for Tala. Her surprise is no different from Tala's, who enjoyed the warm embrace of Jin Goo's powerful arms. As the atmosphere around the two parents changed, you quickly excused yourself to check on their daughter. You were surprised to find Hwannie fast asleep in a foetal position.

You smile affectionately and cover her with a throw blanket. She looked so adorable.

In the comfort of Tala, Jin Goo brushed her back. He gently released her and looked deeply into her eyes, "Tala, I'm so sorry for letting you carry the burden of our child alone. It's going to take a lot from you to keep our status a secret from the world. My parents will want to spend more time with Hwannie. Will you agree for them to keep Hwannie for a week or so? I know you love her, and you'll never be apart, but please, she will be trained in our royal customs and etiquette. You have to come with because It will be her dedication and celebrating her coming the royal way."

Tala was mesmerised by him. Unconsciously, he stroked her wet cheeks with his thumb. At that moment, she knew she would always love this man with her whole heart until the day she met her destiny.

After a few hours of discussing your trip to Spain, Tala and Jin Goo left with Hwannie after she stood up and wanted her parents to take her for ice cream. Jin Goo decided to spend more time at Tala's place, getting to know his daughter more. 

Meanwhile, you chose to rest in your room and read through your law manuals. Upon your return from Spain, you and Tala will assist your supervisor with a case. 

Just then, you received an unknown text message from a private number. Your brows furrow. What person could have this number? After the kidnapping, Jin-Goo made sure you got a new number.

As you opened up the text messages, you felt the blood drain from your face. You cannot forget a name that has plagued your thoughts for years. You couldn't comprehend why now? 

Is Jin-Goo aware that his friend has her number? Having learned that he had already found his soulmate, the knowledge that he is forever lost to you hurt you so much, making you decide to let your parents arrange a marriage for you instead.

As you reread the text message, you took a deep breath.

"Hi, Vicky... it is me... KNJ"

Your fingers trembled nervously as they hovered over the keypads.

So what are you to do?

It will break you to open a door for him.

Why now, Joonie? Why now?

Your heart started pumping erratically inside you as you took a deep breath and began to type two words.

"Hi, Joonie..."

Oh my gosh!!! Running to the bathroom, you splashed some cold water on your flustered face. Your heart-shaped face and your hazel-brown eyes catch your attention. Oh my gosh! There is no denying that Joonie is super famous now. He might have found his soulmate, according to the media. The rumours, however, are denied vehemently by him and his agency. Jin-Goo thinks Jia, that famous Korean-American rapper, might be his soulmate. 

For years you dreamt about meeting Joonie again, but Jin-Goo took precaution. Not even Jackson and his other friend Felix got you and Tala's numbers. You heard Felix wanted to meet up with Tala, but Jin-Goo kept you away from your friends.

You and Tala planned an American trip to visit two of your Uni friends. One of your friends will become engaged to her lawyer soulmate, and you can't wait to see them. You heard the Bangtan Boys were going to have a tour in America. 

Hopefully, you won't accidentally meet him and his soulmate. That will be torturous.

You inhaled deeply as you sat back on your bed, taking your phone and reopen your text messages. You nervously bit your lips as you saw another message.

"How are you, Vicky?'

Must you text back or not. Jin -Goo will be livid if his friends are again contacting you. What the heck? Why not? You missed Joonie and you want to know how he is doing.

You: I'm good, and how are you, Joonie?

'Real busy with preparing for our Love yourself Speak yourself -tour. I heard you are a law school graduate ?'

You: Yes. It's been four years since I was in the USA. I just returned a few months ago. I'm so glad you're enjoying what you're doing, Joonie. You're such a great leader.

'Thank you very much, Vicky. We've had a rough couple of years, but we're getting there. My band and I are like brothers. Are you a member of the ARMY?'

You: Er...yeah. I told you I would follow your career. I'm glad everything is going well for you. Your career flourished, you became wealthy and famous, and you met your soulmate. Congratulations on all your achievements.

'Thank you, Vicky...but I have all of that...just haven't found my soulmate yet. I decided to date Jia until we met our soulmates; she is my best friend. While it may sound stupid, she is a great comfort to me right now. And you...do you date anyone?'

You widen your eyes. Jia, therefore, is not his soulmate. The two are only dating for the time being. It's incredible. Jia must be really in love with Joon if she's willing to lose him later to his soulmate. How does he feel about Jia, his so-called best friend?

You: With a watchdog like Jin-Goo, I couldn't even date at school or college. I'm not dating anyone. In three weeks, I will receive my soul mark. But my parents are planning a marriage with an old friend to get married before the year's end.

'Vicky,you...you can't get married so early. You're still young, you have opportunities, and the world and the world is your oyster. Please don't get married...can we meet after you get your soul mark. We promised to meet."

You: I know Joonie, but I don't care to marry this young.  Meeting you won't be a good idea. It would cause you unnecessary scandals to speak to a girl other than your girlfriend at this moment since you are so famous. Please do not let me cause trouble in your relationship.

Imagine if the paparazzi-like Dispatch gets a picture of the meeting. It will be splashed across both print and online newspapers. In the BTS world, everything is news. After the Jin-Goo scandal, which is fortunately unknown in the Philippines and Spain, the palace will have chaos. However, you know your dad and his dad. A decision will be made to change Jin-Goo's life, and you know what the consequence will be.

'Vicky I can't wait to see you. I practically begged Jin-Goo for your number. That hothead didn't want to barge, so Jackson got your number for me...I need to see you Vicky...please.

You: Oh Joon, you are all so famous right now. You deserve it...but I don't know how we'll meet, Joonie...it'll be difficult behind Jin Goo's back.

'There will be a fan meet in Busan in a few months, so please come. Bring Tala with you. I am looking forward to seeing both of you.'

You: Joonie...I'll see...ok.

It will be evident in your eyes that you love him. However, you know that it will be tough for you to see him. In his presence, you'll be a hot mess. Due to this, it would be a terrible idea to see him face to face.

Please see me, Vicky...I miss you. 

As you breathed deeply, you closed your eyes. You should not become involved with a guy already in a relationship since Joonie is dating someone now. Right now, you can't even be happy for him with Jia. She makes you envious of them. There's no way you can be friends with a guy you still have feelings for.

You: I'm sorry, Joonie...I just don't want to complicate your life at this point. 

'Can you promise me something if we can't connect right now? Can you?

You: What?

'DON'T  GET MARRIED...!'
