Soulmates aren't always romantic. Truly, a soulmate can be more powerful in the form of a platonic bond between two friends who stand together through whatever came their way. A platonic soulmate knows you better than anyone would, someone who pays attention to the smallest detail and treated it as though it was a brightest star in the sky. This was how Bella Swan knew that Honey Parker was her platonic soulmate, simply by the fact that her very presence seemed to wash away the shadows that lurked her mind since he left her behind. Honey knew her boundaries with Bella, she didn't ask about him unless Bella initiated the topic herself.

Honey wasn't a distraction but a guide to help her stumble her way through the murky waters of her mind until she reached the clear rivers she once knew. And of course, Honey was able to amuse and bring a smile to Bella's face when the blonde walked out of her room wearing whitewash jeans with a baby blue sweater over a white floral button-up shirt and some ankle boots. "Why does the cold weather have to ruin my plans to wear a dress?" Honey whined making Bella shake her head, she was dressed in black jeans with a random long sleeved shirt and her usual beige jacket. "You'll get used to it," Bella replied to her, she had to admit that the bright colours weren't common in town but somehow, Honey made it work.

Saying bye to Charlie who already looked less exhausted, the two eighteen year olds heading out and got into Bella's truck. The brunette had switched the heating on while Honey looked around the town in awe. "Honestly, I was always one to obsess over small towns like this in movies and books and now seeing it in person, it may have gotten worse," Honey expressed to Bella, she laughed a little at that. "Well, I always pictured you to be more of a small town girl anyway," Bella told Honey who beamed taking the words as a compliment, which was Bella's intention. "So the diner for breakfast?" Honey suggested, she was itching to try some of the pancakes that Charlie talked about in the past.

With the plan to have breakfast at the diner, they headed there and made their way inside the building. Honey stood out, Bella could tell and she was beginning to notice how dull the town really was in colour compared to the bright girl standing next to her. "Oh, hello Bella," A woman greeted the brunette, clearly stunned seeing her up and walking around having heard her condition from Charlie when he picked food up. "Hey Cora. Uh, this is Honey Parker, my best friend from Arizona," Bella introduced the blonde to the woman. "It's nice to meet you, Cora," Honey greeted politely. "I've heard about you, welcome to Forks, dear," Cora replied with her own smile, she already liked Honey, "Please take a seat and I'll be right with you."

The girls nodded and Bella grabbed Honey's hand in her own, leading her to the table she usually sat at with Charlie. "This place really needs some more colour to it," Honey commented unaware that Bella was just thinking it, she was stunned for a moment before she shook it off. "Uh, yeah, it does," Bella agreed verbally. "What to have for breakfast?" Honey muttered as she looked at the menu, she smiled at the sight of choc chip pancakes with ice cream and berries. "Oh, I'm getting that," Honey pointed out to Bella who looked over and smiled. "Sounds nice. I'm gonna get some french toast," Bella replied and though Honey wanted her to eat more, she wouldn't push the girl so she smiled and nodded her head happily.

"You're a breakfast fiend," Jaxon Marksman said as he watched Honey scarf down her breakfast pancakes. "Seriously, this is so unattractive," Jaxon continued but the blonde simply waved him off and moaned in delight just to torment him. "Please do not make sounds like that around me," Jaxon rolled his eyes as Honey finished her hot chocolate and leaned back in her seat. "I've been craving these pancakes for weeks, Jax. And I finally got them," Honey replied to him as she closed her eyes. "Well, you were the one that wanted to go camping for a week," Jaxon told her with a smirk. "You were the one that agreed to it," Honey replied sweetly making Jaxon roll his eyes.

"Oh, did you hear? Carter and Missy have gotten back together," Honey said as she sat up straight, her beaming smile seemed to brighten the room. "Yes. I bet you feel accomplished," Jaxon replied as he continued eating his bacon. "I am, thank you very much. They are perfect for each other," Honey stated with certainty before she looked to the right watching as a couple argued. "If only he communicated better and she assumed less," Honey said unconsciously, a frown on her face before she walked over and meddled enough to help the arguing couple. "How do you do that? Pinpoint the issues?" Jaxon asked stunned once the blonde returned. "I don't know... it's instinct. As normal as breathing for me," Honey replied with a shrug, Jaxon shook his head but didn't ask further.

Breakfast was filled with Honey updating Bella on everything that happened back in Arizona along with the details about her break up with Ian in more detail per Bella's personal questions; Bella was happy that Honey had ended things with the man. After that, Bella had called her friend Jessica Stanley and invited the girl to go shopping with them before catching a movie. Jessica had been more than eager to meet the best friend that Bella had spoken about on more than one occassion but it was clear for anyone to see that Jessica hadn't expected Honey Parker. The small brunette had met up with Bella and Honey outside the strip in Port Angeles ─ a road with dozens of shops on either side.

"Oh wow, you are so pretty!" Jessica complimented Honey with wide eyes and a slack jaw, it was evident in her tone that she was slightly bitter underneath but Honey pushed it aside and let it be. "Thank you!" Honey replied, "I adore that skirt. And how do you manage to perfectly detail your wing!?" Honey cleared her throat and stepped back, "Sorry. I'm terrible with make up but you clearly have talent." Jessica was practically melting under the attention, she smiled wide and began bragging about how skilled she was with make up followed with little tips and back handed compliments to both Bella and Honey however, they brushed it aside knowing this was just how Jessica was.

In the short time of shopping alongside Jessica, Honey had been quick to pick on the young woman's battling confidence and insecurities. She tended to have backhanded compliments lined up that she would brush off with a "no offense" or a "you get what I mean, right?" comment. Honey could understand why Bella wasn't overly keen with hanging out with Jessica but the girl had style, no one could deny that. She was a little over the top but all in all, Honey thought she was adorable. "She's usually, uh, meaner," Bella told Honey as Jessica was trying on some clothes in the change room. "Maybe my words of encouragement have eased her woes," Honey replied as she looked through the clothing rack for Bella, "She's got nothing to be insecure about. If I was into girls, she'd be my type."

Bella chuckled at that and shook her head fondly, this was just one of the reasons why she adored Honey Parker. "Okay, what do you think?" Jessica asked as she stepped out in a pretty navy blue dress. "Oh my, yes! No one else could make that dress work as well as you do," Honey genuinely told her, "Like marry me?" Jessica flushed at the blondes words but it was enough to convince the small brunette to buy the dress. "Here Bell, try this one," Honey held out a black dress knowing better than to put Bella in colour. She hesitated before sighing, she took the dress and made her way into the change room next to Jessica. "You actually got her to try something?" Jessica asked in genuine shock.

"Bell can't say no to me," Honey teased as the curtain opened to reveal Bella wearing the black dress that Honey handed to her. It stopped at her knees, the neckline showed no cleavage which was Bella preferred design and it had long sleeves. The subtle design was floral lace but it sat nicely on Bella who genuinely liked the dress, something that left Jessica stunned but she had no comments to make. "So?" Honey asked with a smirk. "I'll get it," Bella replied making Honey clap in excitement. "I'll pay!" Honey grinned as the two girls tried to say no but the blonde wasn't having it. And so, with their clothes chosen, Honey paid for them and they left carrying their bags.

"Thank you, Honey," Jessica told the blonde as she put her bags into her car, they were gonna catch a movie before ending their day of fun. "It's my pleasure, Jess," Honey assured her as she and Bella put their bags in Bella's truck. "So the movie?" Bella suggested to them, she was smiling and for the first time, Edward wasn't even a thought inside her mind. The three made their way to the cinema, talking and laughing with each other. The conversation flowed without any backhanded comments or a depressive perspective which left Honey feeling accomplished. "Oh, zombie movie?" Bella asked the two girls, they shared a look before agreeing to it and heading in to see the movie.

"I don't get why are there so many zombie movies," Bella told her friends as the trio leave the movie. "It's, like, a metaphor? For crass consumerism or something," Jessica replied to her while Honey shook her head with a smile. "Or moreso, because a zombie movie is an endless list of ideas and twists on how they can predict its possibility and assume the survivability of people," Honey added with a smile, "People have an irrational desire to watch humanity fall to something apocalyptic and out of their control 'cause the real worlds issues are purely their own consequences of their actions." Bella and Jessica looked over at Honey with confused expressions making the blonde shrug before they pushed past the conversation.

"Anyway, I was kind of surprised that you even called," Jessica directed at Bella who sighed, she had been ghosting her friends after what happened. "I've been kind of... out of it," Bella replied to her, the former shadows found their way into her mind reminding her of what had happened. "Kind of? I mean, at first I was worried. Then I'm like, okay, she's still bumming? It's not like I wasn't going through things too. Like Mike deciding he wanted to "just be friends?". That was really hard and--" Jessica was cut off by a man calling to them, "How 'bout a ride, girls?" Honey looked over to see four rough-looking guys loitering out front of a dive bar next to their motorbikes. And while Honey did like motorcycles, she didn't like the vibe of the drunk men.

"Come on," Jessica encouraged, she was clearly uncomfortable by the men. "Let's go, Bell," Honey added not wanting to stay where Jessica was clearly not comfortable to be. "I know them. . . I think. . ." Bella muttered to the girls. "Can we just go--" Jessica tried to pull Bella along with her but Bella shook her off. "I want to see something," Bella told them though Honey had been the one to spot the dazed expression on her face, she had enough knowledge about psychological and delusions to know that Bella wasn't herself right now. "Bella, that's not going to help," Honey told the girl. "I just. . . Need to see something," Bella replied before walking across the street towards the men.

"Is she insane?!" Jessica exclaimed to Honey who frowned slightly, she sighed. "Bella is stubborn. We gotta let her play it out," Honey replied to Jessica who looked back at her in shock. "You're not serious?!" Jessica asked the blonde. "From the years of knowing Bella, I know better than to stand in the way unless it's absolutely necessary," Honey explained, she didn't like this as much as Jessica but pushing Bella would only make it worse. Honey noticed how Bella seemed to flinch, she looked to the side almost as though someone was standing there but Honey felt and saw nothing. It was in this moment that Honey realised how bad Bella's mentality was since Edward left her, it wasn't normal nor natural. She wouldn't show it to Jessica but as Bella climbed onto the back of the man's bike, she was worried.

"What the hell is wrong with you!?" Jessica snapped as she stormed up to Bella who was walking away from where the men rode off on their bikes. "I. . . saw something," Bella replied, almost to herself. "You are insane! Or suicidal!?" Jessica continued as they walked towards their cars, Honey kept her eyes on Bella who was paying any attention to Jessica's freaked out state. "The more dangerous. . . the more real it was," Bella muttered loud enough for the girls to hear, Honey didn't like the sound of her words and she knew she may have to confront Bella rather than coach her out of this state like she initially planned. "So what? You're like an adrenaline junky now?" Jessica asked bewildered, "Go hang-gliding or bungie-jumping. Don't be a complete freak!"

"Jessica," Honey sternly spoke before smiling sweetly, "It's been quite the night. I think it's best to end it here." Jessica sighed and nodded, "It was nice meeting you, Honey. Thanks for the clothes. I'll see you both at school." Honey waved as Jessica stormed off, it was clear that Bella's actions had genuinely worried the girl. As Bella and Honey approached the truck, Honey took the keys from the brunette. "I can drive," Bella told Honey. "So can I," Honey teased as she got into the car, Bella climbing into the passenger seat. "Jess is sweet. I look forward to meeting the others," Honey told Bella but the brunette wasn't paying attention, her mind focused on the delusions she just had.

Rosemary Speaks. . .

Honey and Jessica have met!
Yes, Jessica is a bit of bitchy character, that is canon for her. But I wasn't making her a villainous character. She likes Honey, that's what matters.

Honey's concerned about Bella, will she confront her or will she let it be?
