There was something about being trapped in the trunk of a car, in the pouring rain, all night, with walkers swarming, that put the absolute fear of God in Austin. He had trouble shaking that feeling while Beth made a fire, Daryl was out hunting for food, and he'd been meant to be tying rope to keep walkers away, rubbing at his chest every now and then when the world felt to small.

"Austin." Bath smiled, getting his attention. "Look."

He turned back to see a lady bug on her finger. "Look at you. You've got luck now."

"Good, we need some." Beth smiled, grabbing his hand to place the lady bug onto him. "You too."

He grinned, a ripping sound making the two look over to see Daryl ripping the skin off a snake. Beth and Austin both cringed, looking at each other's faces before starting to laugh at the sight of the other. Daryl looked back at them, the pair hurrying to turn away before he could see them.

All three of them got their own share of the snake, Daryl across the fire from the pair. Beth leaned off Austin's shoulder with a sudden look. "I need a drink."

He reached over, holding out his bottle to her. Beth gave him a look. "No, I mean a real drink."

"As in alcohol?" he rose his eyebrows.

"As in alcohol." she confirmed with a nod, the two looking toward Daryl as he ignored her. "I've never had one. 'Cause of my dad. But he's not exactly around anymore, so..."

Austin rubbed her back. "I can promise you, you're not missing out on much. It's terrible and it burns."

"Yeah, but you got to at least try some." she pointed out knowingly, looking to Daryl. "I thought we could go find some."

He ignored them again, continuing to eat his snake. Beth and Austin shared a look as she stood up. "Okay. Well, enjoy your snake jerky. Austin and I will go."

He sighed, standing up to follow her with their knives in their hands. "He's a jerk."

"Yeah." Austin agreed, the sound of walkers growling making the two look over and see at least eight walking their way. Beth grabbed Austin's shoulders, pulling him behind a tree as he leaned against her. It would have been a perfect moment if not for the walkers, Beth grabbing a rock and threw it left to lead them away.

"There's still one comin." Austin whispered as he got a clear shot, holding his knife as Beth grasped hers. They watched it turn away, walking with the others ones. The crunch of a twig made the two gasp, looking back to see Daryl had followed.

As he headed back to camp, Beth pulled Austin by the hand. "I think we made it away. I'm pretty sure we gotta go that way to find the booze."

Beth realized they had shown up after camp when Daryl hit the pots. "What the hell? You brought me back! I'm not staying in this suck-ass camp."

Austin's eyes shot up, trying to hide a smile at her unexpected language. He couldn't help but let out a laugh as she tossed her middle finger up to him. Daryl caught her arm. "Hey! You had your fun."

"What the hell is wrong with you? Do you feel anything?" Beth shot at him as she yanked her arm away. "Yeah, you think everything's screwed. I guess that's a feeling. So you want to spend the rest of our lives staring into a fire and eating mud snakes? Screw that! We might as well do something. I can take care of myself, Austin too. And, we're gonna get a damn drink."

Austin shrugged af Daryl, following the blonde with a giggle. "Beth."

"I don't wanna hear it." she waved him off.

"That was awesome!" he called in laugher.

"Shh." Beth grinned, grabbing his hand again. "You're gonna attract walkers."

Daryl had caught up with the duo as they came across a Country Club not too long after. Beth looked over. "Golfers like to booze it up, right?"

"Rich people do." Austin agreed, their eyes looking toward the walkers miles away. "We better get it going."

"Come on." Beth agreed as the three walked toward the entrance. "There might be people inside."

"Maybe." Austin agreed, thunder rumblings above them. "I don't wanna deal with the rain again."

"Me neither." Beth tugged on the locked doors, the trio headed toward the back door as Daryl got it open.

"Come on." he nodded when checking through, the two walking in after him as he pulled the door shut. The faint growl of a walker was heard, but unaware where. As they came around the corner, Austin gapped at the three hanging walkers.

"Oh no." he frowned as he looked up at them. "Should we cut em down?"

"No." Daryl fell to the floor, throwing money and jewelry into a bag.

Beth held a spoon in her hand as she looked over. "Why are you keeping all that stuff?"

Banging came from the door as they looked over quickly. They were quick to hurry into the next door, slamming the doors behind them. Daryl shined his flashlight around the storage room, Austin looked around. "There will definitely be some booze in here."

"Better get to looking then." Beth agreed, the three spreading out for any sight of a bottle anywhere. Austin pocketed a few things he thought might be useful, such as a lighter and a table knife. Growling echoed as Beth's shouts echoed.

"Beth!" Austin called, running her way as Beth hit the walker with the wine glass. She stabbed it in the face a few times with the glass, Austin coming to her rescue to yank the walker off her body, using his new knife to stab it in the head. The two took a breath. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah." Beth panted. "Are you?"

He nodded, rubbing his face as Daryl came around the corner. He caught sight of them being okay, turing away as the pair followed. Beth wrapped her arm around Austin's waist as an thank you as they headed down the short steps.

Daryl leaned into the ground, crawling through the fallen shelf as Beth and Austin followed. They spread out some again, Austin's eyes scanned the polo shirts. "Beth, we should change, right?"

"Definitely. We're covered in walker guts." she agreed, the two looking to where Daryl went off too. "Where's he go?"

"Probably to find more money." Austin said as he pulled his shirt off. Beth met his eye as he flushed slightly, she did it next to avoid him being alone and embarrassed. "What color do you want?"

"I like the yellow." she hummed, taking one off the rack while Austin grabbed a white one. He pulled his on first, reaching over to pull Beth's hair out from the shirt once she got it on. "Thanks."

Austin have a little grin. "Beautiful."

Beth flushed slightly, leaning in to give him a small peak onto the lips. "We should bring one to Daryl."

"Daryl in a polo?" he laughed slightly. "I'd love to see it."

They approached him, seeing a dead
walker with a sign on her chest. Rich Bitch. Austin and Beth shared a frowning look, the blonde taking it upon herself to try and get her down. "Help me take her down."

Austin nodded, walking forward as Beth look to Daryl. "It don't matter. She's dead."

"It does matter." Beth spoke in return as he sighed, walking forward as Austin tried to get the top. "Can you reach it?"

"Almost." he held his knife, his arm burning from how high he reached up.

"Here." Daryl walked forward, tossing a blue blanket over her. Beth found that good enough, connecting hands with Austin again as they followed Daryl. The Grandfather clock dinged loudly, making them turn back with a minor look of panic.

Walker growls echoed as Daryl looked around. "Move."

Austin grabbed Beth's hand, pulling her to the spare room. Daryl spun around, shooting two walkers and using a golf club to take out two more. He yanked his knife out, stabbing the next one before hitting the final one with a golf club over and over again, blood flying al over Beth from how she stood in the line shot.

"I like red on you anyways." Austin tried to make her feel better as Beth gave a minor smile, grabbing his hand to lead him around the corner.

"We made it." she smiled at the sight of the alcohol in the back room. She let Austin's hand go, looking back at Daryl. "I know you think this is stupid. And it probably is. But I don't care. All I wanted to do today was lay down and cry but we don't get to do that. So beat up on walkers if that makes you feel better. I need to do this."

"Completely support this decision, but it's still terrible to taste." Austin nodded, following her to the bar as she circled the bar. Glass shattering made them look over to see Daryl had used the butt of his gun to break a frame. "You know there's an opening on the back of those, right?"

"Did you have to break the glass?" Beth asked.

"No." Daryl spoke in return, pulling out the paper from inside the frame. "You have your drink yet?"

"No." Beth held the bottle in her hand. "But I found this. Peach Schnapps. Is it good?"

"Georgia is known for peaches." Austin leaned on the bar with his chin on both palms of his hands. "Seems meant to be."

"Yeah, but is it good?" Beth asked the serious questions with a grin.

"No." Daryl spoke up.

"Well, it's the only thing left." Beth pointed out, looking to Austin again. "Will you drink some with me?"

He grinned, nodding his head as she tried to clean off two cups. Daryl started to throw darts at the photos of the men on the walls. Austin shook his head with a cringed look when Beth continued to clean the cups. "Who needs a glass?"

"Not us." Austin shook his head immediately.

Beth heisted, holding the bottle. She started to cry as Austin's face fell, grasping her hands and rubbing up her arms. "Beth, talk to me."

She cried, shaking her head. Daryl walked over and broke the glass on the floor. "Ain't gonna have your first drink be no damned peach schnapps."

Austin circled the bar to put his arm around Beth while Daryl opened the door. "Come on."

Beth wrapped her arms around his waist, rubbing her eyes on his new shirt as they followed Daryl once again.
