Previously on IABYH... Jhope starts to overwork himself... Jisoo, Y/n's high school friend comes back into the picture as BTS' makeup artist and Jungkook's biggest fan. She also seems to be onto Y/n and Jhope's past... Will Y/n find out?

(A/N: Don't judge, I'm only doing this because I have not updated since last year and majority of you probably already forgot what this ff is about. Sorry for taking this long :( But hey there~~ I've missed you! :D )

☆☆☆

"Maybe we should stop her?" Namjoon whispered.

"I don't know..." Taehyung sounded, obviously amused, looking intently at the sight before the five of you. "I'm enjoying this," he giggled.

Jin elbowed Tae. "Well Kookie obviously wants her to stop," Jin reasoned.

You heard a loud snore coming from the other side of the room and in unison your attention turned to the sleeping Yoongi on the comfy couch. You, Jin, Taehyung, Namjoon and Jimin turned your attention back to the two figures across the room.

"It's been almost twenty minutes already," you said, staring intently at sight everyone else was looking at too.

"Way too long," Jimin added.

Tae giggled. "You're just jealous she only spent three minutes on you," he joked.

"Yah!" Jimin sounded and hit Tae on the arm.

The sight you were all looking at was Jisoo who was applying makeup to Jungkook's face. They were testing her skills. She spent about eight minutes on the other members, all except for Jimin of course because they disliked each other so much.

She was quite good because she was fast. And she seemed to know exactly what makeup would suit each member before she even tested it on them. Either she had already done all her homework or she was just a natural, as Namjoon had said after each member was done. But Jungkook... You were pretty sure she was doing this on purpose. She was saving the best for last. You swore, every time she applied something to his face she scanned his face for at least three minutes before continuing again and she was touching his facial features way more than she had to. Jungkook was well aware of this too. Jungkook biased people, I swear.

She did every member by now already. All except Jhope. He decided to head to the studio to work on some things. He was missing out on all the fun and you were missing him. You hadn't seen him since two days ago when Jisoo had arrived. It was because the boys were really busy yesterday preparing for their new album. While they did that, Jisoo came over to your apartment and you two were just catching up all day and watching movies and eating snacks. It was pretty good but you still missed Hobi.

"I'm glad she spent so little time on me..." Jimin mumbled. "You think I want her hands all over my face for twenty minutes?"

"You think I want to stare at your face for twenty minutes?" Jisoo questioned, distastefully. Whoops, guess she heard.

Namjoon took the opportunity to speak. "Hey, Jisoo, are you not done yet? It's been twenty minutes already," he said carefully, coming closer.

"That long?" She asked. "I never realized. I think I need to spend more time with you, Jungkook."

Jungkook looked up at her, frightened.

"I mean, to work on doing your makeup faster and stuff," she said with a nervous laugh. Namjoon was coming closer, hoping to protect the maknae. Jisoo only took it as a sign to talk faster. "Oh, and I could do your hair too. I'm really good with it!" She said, trying to move her head to see Jungkook behind Namjoon who was now in between them. She looked up at Namjoon who looked just a bit intimidating to her and laughed nervously. "I'm really good with it..." She said before looking down.

Namjoon chuckled. "We already have enough hairstylists but I'll let you know when a spot opens up," he said and she looked up again and smiled brightly.

"Great!" She said with hopeful eyes and an idea clicked in her head and she gasped. "Oh! Are you guys working today? I was wondering if you wanted to play a few games," she said, motioning to her game console on the living room shelf.

Jungkook's eyes went wide and his head popped up from behind Namjoon. "Y-you have games??" He asked. "I'm totally up for that! What games do you have?" He said, getting up and now walking beside Jisoo towards the couch. Way to go, Jisoo!

You felt an unusual tension coming from beside you and you were pretty sure it was because of the confused expression on Taehyung's face as he watched Kookie walk alongside Jisoo with a smile on his face.

***

Jungkook and Jisoo ended up sitting on the carpet of the living room area floor. You sat on the sofa next Yoongi who was now sleeping in an upright position on the couch, Taehyung sitting on the other side of you with a controller in his hands, eyes completely glued to the TV. Jimin, Namjoon and Jin were sitting on the couch to your right in exactly that order. Namjoon was busy hitting Jin's knee with his hand eagerly, urging him to win. Jin had the other controller. Jungkook was cheering Tae on and Tae was only getting more confident with each cheer. You, Jisoo and Jimin just kept cheering on whoever was closer to winning and occasionally Jin would scold you whenever you didn't take his side.

It was 5pm already and you guys were all still playing. There were snacks scattered across the coffee table before you and Oreo cupcakes in the oven that you and Jisoo had made together. She was your one and only Oreo buddy who was the only person you remembered loved Oreos as much as you in high school. You were so happy you two had reunited. She was the only one who understood you.

You heard the bell from the oven sound and you immediately stood up. "It's done! I'll go take it out," you said and walked pass Taehyung to go to the kitchen.

"Y-Y/n!!" Tae exclaimed and Jin cheered. You stopped walking.

"Ha! I won!!" Jin exclaimed and Namjoon cheered with him.

Tae looked up at you, pouting. You just laughed. "S-sorry.." You struggled to say between laughs.

"My sister does love me!" Jin shouted and ran to you, hugging you.

"Y/n, you're so evil!" Tae teased you and crossed his arms.

You then heard Yoongi groan. "Why are you guys so loud?" He said, his eyes half open.

"It's Y/n's fault!" Tae complained.

Yoongi then started laughing loudly. "You lost to Jin?" Yoongi asked, amused. He was wide awake now.

"Yah, what's that supposed to mean?" Jin exclaimed, looking to Yoongi, suddenly offended.

You laughed along with everyone else watching the situation.

You then quickly rushed to the oven, taking out the cupcakes. You heard Jimin say something about wanting to play now but Tae argued that he had to go again since you were in the way of him winning. Jimin ended up with the controller. And Yoongi somehow ended up with Jin's controller. He's been waiting to go against Jimin.

Ten minutes later when the cupcakes were done cooling down, you went back to the kitchen to put icing on the cupcakes and then headed back to the living room, setting the platters down on the coffee table. Everyone suddenly attacked each other to get the best ones and you headed back to the kitchen to get their hot chocolate and set that on the table as well.

As you sat back down next to Yoongi again, you sighed. "Does anyone know when Hobi's coming back? It's getting late," you said.

Tae elbowed you. "Somebody's missing their boyfriend," he teased.

You just laughed it off but you really did miss him. You had this funny feeling inside like something wasn't right.

"Maybe I should save him some?" You asked.

Yoongi looked to you. "Maybe you should bring it to him," he said. You looked at him and he pulled on your sleeve bringing you a bit closer to him. "I think you should go see him," he said, carefully, his voice a little softer. When he saw nobody was paying particular attention to you two, he continued: "He's been acting a little strange lately. I think he needs his hope," he smiled.

You tensed up a little but his last words still made you crack a small smile. "Is there something I need to know?" I asked.

"You've seen how he is lately. He's been working way too much and you and I both know why that would be," he said. He was right.

"I've noticed it too. I thought it was just me. Thanks, Yoongi," you said.

"No problem. Now go bring him some of your magical Oreo cupcakes. I'm sure he'll feel way better with you by his side," he said, smiling.

You smiled back at him and got up. "I'm going to see Hoseok," you announced and grabbed a few cupcakes for Hoseok.

Once you were finished getting things together for Hoseok, Jin wished you a safe trip and soon everyone else did too.

You didn't know where exactly you would find him: the music studio or the dance studio. You tried the closest place first. The music studio. Luckily he was there as you approached the glass door. His back was towards you in a swivel chair, only the back of his head being visable to you. Your heart skipped a beat seeing his familiar cute ears sticking out of his beanie. You smiled after a second. He was so cute. He was making cute little pouty faces as he was working on the laptop, you saw as you walked closer, and his slim, long fingers brushed over the keys of the keyboard as he thought for a while before actually typing.

Finally, you decided to enter the room, making your presence known. He turned around to look who it was and immediately he smiled when seeing it was you. "Y/n!" He stood up and went to hug you. But that didn't erase the hint of sadness you saw in his eyes the second he turned around.

"I hope I didn't worry you. I'm sorry I'm taking so long to come home," he said.

"Oh, that's okay," you said, hesitantly. It surprised you how good he was at hiding things. He was smiling with you and acting normal and it made you think maybe you were wrong about your instincts. But you knew better than that. He was Jhope. It was his job to appear happy and hopeful, even if he wasn't. "It's just..." You started but then looked down because right now you weren't sure, seeing his gentle and smiling face.

His expression turned to worry. "Hm? What is it?" He asked, tilting his head while looking down at you.

You finally looked up at him. "How are you always able to do this?" You asked and he gave a confused expression. "Acting like everything's okay, when you're not?" You continued.

"What do you mean?" He asked but it was obvious that you were right.

"You know what I'm talking about. You're overworking yourself again. You haven't done this since debut. What happened?" You asked and led the two of you to sit on the coach.

He was quiet for a bit. "I don't know..." He started and looked to the ground sadly but then quickly pulled himself together and looked back to you. "I don't know what you're talking about. I'm fine," he tried to smile. He was lying to you.

"Hoseok, don't lie to me," you said.

"I'm not lying. I'm doing fine. So I'm just working a little later. It doesn't mean anything is wrong, Y/n," he said.

For some reason it hurt you. He didn't want to open up to you like he usually would. Why does he not feel comfortable talking to you, of all people, about it?

You covered the hurt with your smile. Now it was your turn to fake it. "It's okay. I understand," you said. "Oh, I brought you some Oreo cupcakes I made and hot chocolate," you added, holding up the flask and plastic container for him to take.

He took them hesitantly, hearing the change in your voice. "Thanks.."

"I'm going back home," you said while standing up. "I don't want to distract you from your work. Don't work too late," you said. He was about to say something but you quickly added: "You know, I'm here for you any time. So if something is wrong, don't hesitate to tell me what's on your mind," you said, smiling down at him before quickly turning to leave.

"No, wait, Y/n," Hoseok said and grabbed your arm before you could leave. You stared into each others eyes for a while. In your eyes were hurt. Hoseok's eyes held an apology. "Please stay here with me," he said softly as he intertwined his hand with yours and gave it a tug for you to sit down again. You did.

"I'm sorry," he started. "I just feel like I'm burdening you with all my problems. I don't want to bother you," he said.

"Even if you don't tell me what's wrong, I can still see it. And I understand if you're not comfortable telling me what's wrong. Just don't pretend you're not hurting," you said. "At least I'll still be able to support you."

(A/n: I'm crying. Please listen to 4 0'Clock by V and RM while reading the rest of the chapter)

A small smile rose onto Hoseok's face. "I really love you, you know that?" He asked and you giggled. You did know. Hoseok leaned back with his back against the couch and he let out a sigh before speaking again.

"Do you ever feel like you're a shooting star, falling with no direction?" He asked. He then looked to you. "I feel like that. Like there are hundreds of other shooting stars out there. But they know where they're going. Because countless people are making wishes on them. But then there's me: this faint star falling from afar that nobody ever sees. I'm just there. But I don't make a difference. I want to make a difference. I'm sick of feeling lost," he said, sighing. You could see the sadness in his eyes as he looked away.

"Hoseok-ah..." You started and held on tighter to his hand. You looked into his eyes and he did the same with you. "You're my shooting star. You're the brightest star I've ever known, Hoseok. And you make a difference in my life and many other people's lives. Do you really think you don't matter? The world would be so dull without you. And I know many other people think so too. Your smile alone, Hoseok, saves lives."

He smiled hearing your words. "Really?" He asked. You've never seen him look so fragile. He was like a child.

You can't help but pull him into your arms. "Of course," you answered.

You and Hoseok hugged for a long time, not once did you loosen your grip on his body. He needed to know he was your everything and that you would never leave his side. You would never let him be swallowed up by the darkness he was in.

"Hoseok-ah," you whispered, "Don't feel lost anymore. Even when you do, I'll be here to catch you. You're a shooting star I'll never lose sight of."

You looked into his eyes, not hugging anymore but your arms were still around him. His eyes met yours.

"I love you," you said.

"I love you too, Y/n," he said just before your soft lips brushed against his in a passionate kiss.

In that one moment, you and Hoseok both knew that everything was going to be okay. As long as you had each other.

(A/n: tbh I feel 'lost'. My writing isn't as good as it used to be.)

P.S: I'll be publishing another chapter tomorrow so look forward to that! It'll be way less depressing than this chapter, I promise. I just can't publish it today because I might be getting sick and I need some rest.

Anyways, goodbye! Enjoy the rest of your day/night. Love you all❤❤
