"Come in." I say as I hear a knock at my door. Jade walks in and closes the door.

A smile spreads across my face and I make grabby hands at her to come lay with me on my bed.

"Hey bub, what's wrong?" She asks climbing onto my bed laying down next to me.

"Nothing, I just missed you." I say looking down at her. She has her head propped up on her hand looking up at me with a smile.

"Well I'm tired so can we just lay here and go to sleep?" She asks making herself comfortable on my chest.

"Yeah of course." I say making myself comfortable.

I turn on Disney + just until she falls asleep.

"Hey Vinnie." I hear her say softly. "What are we?" She asks randomly.

She catches me off guard with the question. I sit there in silence for a new seconds thinking about my answer.

"I don't know, what do you want us to be?" I ask. "Well if I'm being honest Vin, I really like you I'm just not sure you feel the same way." She sighs.

That immediately sends a wave of happiness down my body. I make her look up at me using my finger to lift her chin.

"You know I like you too right?" I ask. "Really?" She asks hopeful. "Yeah Jade, you make me feel happy, you and your silly moods and when you jump on top of me for no reason, when you give me that little smile when you get all giddy, when you laugh at something your eyes light up."

"Everything about you, I like. Like a lot." I say smiling at her.

"Really?" She sighs. "Yeah!" I exclaim.

She lets out a laugh and looks back up at me. That's when the thing I thought would never happen, happens.

She leans up to me and kisses my lips. I'm taken aback at first but immediately kiss back when I realize what is happening.

I place my hand on the side of her neck and pull her in closer. She grabs the arm that has a hold of her neck and smiles into the kiss.

We slowly pull away and she has a goofy smile on her face. "You're a dork you know that." She laughs putting her head back on my chest.

"Yeah and you're a dummy." I smile. "Whatever dork." She laughs.

We eventually fall asleep and the only thing on my mind is the girl laying on my chest.
