"Have you spoken to Hermione?" Ron asked Harry. The two were heading upstairs as they passed by some students.

Harry shook his head. "She should be out of the hospital in a few days... when she stops coughing up fur balls."

"How about (Y/n)?"

Harry paused for a moment and thought for a while. "Now that you mentioned her. No. I haven't even seen her. I'm kind of worried."

Ron nodded. "Yeah. Oh, hey Harry?" Harry looked at Ron with a questioning look. "Do you think that Malfoy actually likes (Y/n)?" Ron asked.

"Looks like it." Harry shrugged and continued to walk. "I can see them talking and giving gifts for one another."

"But does (Y/n) likes him back?"

Harry was about to answer the question until he noticed a flooded stair. "What's this?" Harry and Ron quickly ran and stopped when I saw the flood was coming from Moaning Myrtle's bathroom. "Yuck!" Ron exclaimed.

"Look's like Moaning Myrtle has flooded the bathroom." Harry ran towards the bathroom with Ron and saw Myrtle by the window, sobbing.

Myrtle looked down at them and glared. "Come to throw something else at me?" She asked.

"Why would I throw something at you?" Harry asked her.

"Don't ask me. Here I am, minding my own business, and someone thinks it's funny to throw a book at me."

"But, it can't hurt if someone throws something at you," Ron replied. "I mean, it would just go right through you."

Moaning Myrtle swooped down towards Ron and faced him. "Sure! Let's all throw books at Myrtle because she can't feel it! Ten points if you get it through her stomach!"

She punched Ron in the stomach but her hand just went through.

"Fifty points if it goes through her head!" She punched Ron once again in the head but her hand just went through as well.

"But who threw something at you anyway?" Harry asked.

"I don't know." She turned to Harry and shrugged. "I didn't see them. I was just sitting in the U-bend, thinking about death." She sighed. "And it fell right through the top of my head." She started sobbing again and flew away.

Harry's eyes landed on a black notebook that Myrtle was talking about. He picked it up from the flooded floor and examined it. Harry and Ron headed back to the Gryffindor Common Room as Ron fell asleep while Harry stayed awake. He brought out the book and realized it was a diary.

He flipped through the pages of the book. There was nothing written in there. Harry turned to the book around and saw a name. "Tom Marvolo Riddle." Harry read. 'It's probably the owner.'

Harry decided to write on something but when the ink droplet hit the paper, he noticed that it disappeared. His eyes went wide and looked at the pages. It was not marked by the ink. So, Harry started writing. "My name is Harry Potter."

The words disappear and then other words appear in the diary. "Hello, Harry Potter, my name is Tom Riddle." Then it disappeared again.

Harry gasped before dipping his quill once again on the ink and he wrote words down again. "Do you know anything about the Chamber of Secrets?"

Words appeared again as my words disappeared. "Yes..."

"Can you tell me?"

"No..."

Harry sighed in frustration and placed his quill down until he sees the next words. "But I can show you... Let me take you back 50 years ago... 13th June."

The pages turn to this date and he was swept inside the diary. Harry was inside the diary with Tom Riddle's memory being played right in front of him. He saw a sixteen-year-old teenager with raven black hair and a stoic expression watching wizards carry a dead student away.

"Riddle." Harry and Tom turned around to see Albus Dumbledore. "Come."

Tom nodded. "Professor Dumbledore."

Harry's eyes went wide. "Dumbledore?"

"It is not wise to be wandering around this late hour, Tom." He told Tom.

Tom stood in front of him on the stairs. "Yes, Professor. I suppose I-I had to see for myself if the rumors were true."

Dumbledore sighed. "I'm afraid they are, Tom. They are true."

Tom raised his eyebrow. "About the school, as well? I don't have a home to go to. They wouldn't really close Hogwarts, would they, Professor?"

"I understand, Tom. But, I'm afraid Headmaster Dippet may have no choice."

"Sir, if it all stopped. If the person responsible was caught..."

"Is there something you wish to tell me?" Dumbledore asked, interrupting Tom. It was the same question that Dumbledore asked Harry back to his office.

Tom shook his head. "No, sir. Nothing."

Dumbledore examined Riddle but then shrugged it off. "Very well, then. Off you go."

Tom smiled. "Goodnight, sir."

Harry quickly followed Tom on where he was heading. He opened a door revealing someone. "Good evening, Hagrid."

'Hagrid?' Harry gasped.

"You're going to tell me now, Hagrid." He told him as he pointed his wand at him. He started talking to him.

"The dead girl's parents are coming here tomorrow. All Hogwarts can do is to make sure that the thing that killed their daughter is slaughtered." Tom said.

"It wasn't him! Aragog never killed anyone! Never!" Hagrid defended.

"Don't make me do this Hagrid." Tom sighed. "Stand aside."

"No!"

"Stand aside, Hagrid!"

"No!"

"Cistem Aperio!"

The chest was opened and a spider has escaped. "Arania Exumai." He shot the spell at the spider but it went away.

"Aragog!" Hagrid yelled and was about to get the spider but Tom stopped him.

"I can't let you go. They'll have your wand for this, Hagrid. You'll be expelled." He told Hagrid. Hagrid lowered his head down and sighed in defeat.

"Hagrid!" Harry yelled but he was being pulled back and away. Suddenly, he was back at the present time. Harry breathed heavily. "Woah!"

"It was Hagrid," Harry informed Hermione and Ron. "It was Hagrid who opened the Chamber of Secrets fifty years ago."

"It can't be Hagrid," Hermione argued. "It just can't be."

"We don't even know this Tom Riddle." Ron shook his head. "He sounds like a dirty rotten snitch to me."

"The monster had killed somebody, Ron!" Harry argued. "What would any of us have done?"

"Look, Hagrid's our friend," Hermione replied. "Why don't we just go and ask him about it?" Hermione suggested.

"Well..." Ron stopped his sentence when he noticed something odd. "Hermione, where the hell is (Y/n)?"

Hermione shrugged. "I don't know. I didn't even see her this morning. No one in our classmates knows where she is."

"Hello!" The trio heard Hagrid behind their back. The three tensed up and slowly looked up at him. Hagrid suddenly noticed the three being uncomfortable so Harry quickly tried to ease up the tension. "What's that you've got, Hagrid?" Harry asked when he noticed Hagrid was holding something.

"Oh, this? It's Flesh-Eating Slug Repellent. For the Mandrakes, y'know? Now, according to Professor Sprout, they've still got a bit of growing to do. But once their acne's cleared up, we'll chop them up and stew them, and then we'll get those people down at the hospital un-Petrified."

The three just nodded in silence. "In the meantime, though, you three had best be looking after yourselves. All right?" Hagrid was about to leave but stopped and turn to Harry, Hermione, and Ron again. "Aren't you three going to visit (Y/n)?"

Harry raised a brow. "Visit? W-We don't know where she is?"

Hagrid furrowed his eyebrows. "Didn't nobody told you guys? She's been Petrified."

Harry's eyes widened and looked at Ron and Hermione who were shocked to hear the news. "Let's go!"

The three rushed to the Hospital Wing and saw you Petrified. Your eyes were wide in shock, your arm was raised as if you saw something surprising and scary. Harry looked at Hagrid who was looking down at you sadly. "Where did you see her?"

"She was at the library." Madam Pomfrey informed as she approached the trio. "How come you three never knew?"

"We weren't informed," Hermione muttered and her voice was cracking. She tried to approach you but she couldn't handle it and cried. Ron rubbed her back and hugged her as Hermione rested her head on his chest, sobbing.

"Well, a boy has always visited her here." Madam Pomfrey replied.

"A boy?" Ron asked as Madam Pomfrey nodded. "Who?"

"I believe it was Mr. Malfoy."

Hermione looked up and had a confused look. "Malfoy? Why?"

Harry and Ron shared a knowing look. Harry took a deep breath and held your hand. Hermione wiped her tears away until she found a strange folded paper in your pocket.

Draco sneaked out at night and went straight to the Hospital Wing as he tried not to get caught. He caught a glimpse of you and approached you quietly. Draco stood beside you and held your hand. He shakily took a deep breath as his thumb rubbed the top of your hand.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you." He whispered and closed his eyes. "You didn't deserve this."

"Mr. Malfoy."

Draco quickly stepped back and flinched in surprise, looking around frantically, and fearing it was Madam Pomfrey. But he recognized the voice and knew it was Severus Snape. "P-Professor?"

He walked towards Draco and stood beside him. "You should be back on the Common Room, Mr. Malfoy."

Draco sighed and shook his head. "I-I can't. I don't want to. I can't leave (Y/n)." Snape remained silent as Draco continued. "I couldn't protect her that's why she's petrified." Draco felt a lump on his throat. 'I told myself I won't cry in front of Professor Snape.'

Draco heard the Potions master sighed and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I will allow you to stay this time, Mr. Malfoy."

Draco looked up at him in surprise as Snape turned to leave but stopped. "She will be fine. She's strong and wise but you must do whatever it takes to protect her. If she really mean so much to you, protect her at all cost."

The blonde nodded and lowered his head down. As Snape left and talked to Madam Pomfrey, Draco looked back at you and held your hand again, sighing.

"I'll protect you. Whatever it takes..."
