What do you guys think? That I'm gonna end this book so soon? Our baby Scorpius isn't even born yet! But to be honest, this book is gonna end pretty soon...

-β€’-Β°-β€’-Β°-β˜†

Edward had been working on something for months and it was late at night. He was working on something special for you and Megan. He wouldn't let you or your sister come up to his office to see it since it was a special surprise.

Edward had just finished placing a piece on his invention, and it finally worked. Edward fell back on his chair, bewildered.

"Shit!" Edward exclaimed in amazement.

"Shit?"

Edward froze and turned around to see you and your sister, his five-year-old and three-year-old daughters who have been hiding behind him all this time. You and your sister were smiling widely.

Edward placed his index finger against his lips, signaling you and Megan to stay quiet. "What are you two doing up here, little misses?"

"Shit," Megan repeated, still smiling.

Edward shook his head. "No, we don't say that. Only Mommy says that word. She coined it; it belongs to her."

"Why you up?" You asked.

"Because I got some important shit going on here." You tilted your head a bit and gave him a look. "What do you think? No, I got something on my mind. I got something on my mind."

"Was it Juice Pops?" Megan asked.

Edward stared at you and Megan for a moment. "Sure was. That's extortion. Great minds think alike." Edward looked back at what he had created and stood up. "Juice Pops is exactly was on..." He grabbed you and your sister's hands. "...my mind."

Edward walked straight to the kitchen and took out three Juice Pops for you, Megan, and himself. He handed you both your Juice Pops causing Megan to squeal in delight. "Alright, come on, you little rascals. Off to bed."

You and Megan ran off to your shared room and chased each other for a moment. Edward was behind, looking around to ensure his wife didn't wake up. When he turned around, he witnessed Megan on your back, playfully hitting your head while you laughed. "Nuh-uh. No, no, no. Get off your sister, now."

Edward separated you and your sister and picked you both up. He entered your room and placed the both of you on your separate beds. Megan laid down and hung her head by the edge of her bed. "Look!" You and Edward turned to look at Megan. "We're all upside-down!"

Edward chuckled before picking Megan up and placing her properly onto her bed. "You could be a spider if you continue that." He teased.

Megan gasped. "Ooh! I can be a black widow!"

"You can be whatever you want to be, cupcake." Edward kissed Megan's forehead, and the girl smiled at him. Your sister snuggled herself on her blanket and cuddled with her teddy bear.

"You done?" Edward asked as he turned to you, who was now holding the stick of Juice Pops. You smiled and nodded. "Yeah, now you are." Edward wiped your lips and pushed your head onto your pillow, causing you to giggle. "That face goes there."

"Tell me a story." You requested, pouting.

"A story..." Edward thought for a while. "Once upon a time, two girls went to bed. The end."

You frowned but laughed. "That is a terrible story."

Edward snickered. "Come on, that's your favorite story!" He leaned in and kissed your forehead. "I love you tons."

"I love you 3000." You smiled.

Edward stared at you in amazement. "Wow." He said softly. He stood up and turned off the lamp. "3000. That's crazy." He closed the door as he went out. "Go to bed. Or I'll sell all your toys. Night, night."

Vivian Stark stared at Lucius Malfoy as if she was burning holes right into his skull. It doesn't help that Megan was also doing the same. "Can we throw him off the window?" Megan questioned while narrowing her eyes.

Lucius flinched at Megan's suggestion. Although it was a snarky question and suggestion, he feared that Megan would throw him out the window.

Your family and Draco's family were at a meeting at your home. They couldn't hold a meeting at the Malfoy Manor as it was previously the headquarters of Voldemort and Death Eaters.

"So, I'm glad you and your family weren't sent to Azkaban, unlike the others, Narcissa." You told Narcissa.

Narcissa smiled. "Yes, dear. If we haven't changed our alliance, we would have been rotting inside Azkaban by now."

"What about Draco?" You asked, earning a glance from Draco himself. "Is he going to be in Azkaban too if you didn't change your alliance?"

Narcissa shrugged and shook her head. "That, I do not know. But it doesn't matter."

Vivian looked at Narcissa. "I'm sorry about Bellatrix, by the way. I heard that she died."

"It's alright, Vivian." Narcissa looked at you, Draco, and Megan. "I assume that you three are going back to Hogwarts."

Draco raised his eyebrow. "Going back? Why?"

"For your eight-year, of course. Why else are you going back to Hogwarts?"

Draco shrugged. "I don't know. Like maybe helping to rebuild Hogwarts."

Narcissa nodded. "That too."

You looked at Draco confusingly. "Going back to Hogwarts for our eight-year? Aren't we supposed to stop after our seventh year?"

Draco looked at you and nodded. "Well, it's actually up to you if you want to go back to Hogwarts and finish your studies. I feel like I have to. How about you?"

You thought for a moment before nodding. "I guess I'll have to go back. Auror training can wait."

"You're planning to become an Auror?"

"Well, after everything that has happened, I decided I needed to protect my family and friends." You tilted your head to point at your father's picture. "Dad and I always wanted for me to become an Auror."

Soon, the room was filled with painful silence. Narcissa let out a sigh. "Look, Vivian, we know how hard it is to see us, especially after what happened four years ago." She glanced at Lucius. "And we know you and your family are not ready to forgive us."

You held Cameron to your arms while Draco was just behind you. Megan clenched her fists. "It would take an eternity to forgive Lucius Malfoy after what he had done." She glanced at Cameron, who was reaching his hand out for Draco. "Cameron didn't even get to meet his own father."

Vivian placed a hand on Megan's shoulder to calm her down. She looked at Narcissa. "It pains us to know that you and your family kept my husband's killer's identity."

Narcissa shook her head. "No, no, no. Draco and I didn't know. We learned about what Lucius' had done far too late when Megan informed Draco about it."

Vivian looked at Lucius. "You had kept your crime to yourself from us and your family, Lucius. Until you decided to boast about it to my two daughters, was it worth it? Did you have fun killing my husband? Did it please you that you took my children's father away?"

Lucius kept his head low. It wasn't strange for Draco to see his father like this because he kept doing this during the war. However, it was unusual to see his father feeling small and guilty to the Starks. Lucius was always a competitive man, especially when Edward Stark was alive.

And now, here he was, feeling remorse and regret the deed he had done. He had won against his competition, but he had lost the respect of his own family.

Narcissa still loves him, but she will not let her husband get away from murder. She knew it wasn't right what her husband had done, and she'd make sure to set everything right.

Cameron managed to tap Draco's shoulder. "Draco!" He chirped. You, your family, and Draco's parents turned their attention to your three-year-old brother. Draco didn't know what to do. You gave your brother to Draco, and Draco reluctantly took him in his arms.

Draco looked away from his parents as he carried your brother. Cameron wrapped his small arms around your boyfriend's neck and pointed behind him. "Let's play!" He said, pointing his finger outside of the house.

You smiled at Draco and nodded. "Go on."

Draco blinked his eyes before gulping and leaving with your brother to play with him. Megan watched by the window when she saw Draco and Cameron by the garden. "Seems like my brother is fond of your son." She told Lucius and Narcissa."

"It's odd." You chuckled. "Kids are mostly scared of Draco."

Cameron giggled as Draco brought a toy and tried to open it to function. Suddenly, a plastic fist from the toy almost punched his face. "Bosh!" Draco exclaimed in surprise. He looked down at Cameron who started falling back from laughter. "Oh, that's funny to you, huh?"

Draco started tickling Cameron which made the boy squeal. Your smile grew wider to see the bond between your brother and Draco.

Vivian smiled at the sight of her son and the young Malfoy playing outside until she shakily took a deep breath. "Lucius, you have fucked up." You and Megan widened your eyes in surprise as you both stared at your mother. "You gave my daughters trauma, and it doesn't help that one of them witnessed you killing Edward. Do you know how fucked up that is?"

Lucius finally looked up and locked eyes with you. You flinched in surprise and you quickly held onto Megan's chair. Lucius stared at you for a while. "I'm sorry." He finally spoke.

He stood up from his chair without uttering another word. Narcissa stared at her husband while Megan looked at the older Malfoy in confusion and disbelief. Lucius made his way to the door but Megan immediately stood up. "And where do you think you're going?"

Draco dragged Cameron back to his arms and picked him up from the ground when he saw his father was about to leave. Lucius stopped in his tracks and turned around to face you, your family, and his wife. "I did not confess about what I have done."

"Lucius..." Narcissa stood up from her seat.

"I know my actions could not be reversible. What is done is done." He fixed his clothes and took a deep breath. "It stands to reason that I should face my consequences."

With Cameron in his arms, Draco headed to the front door while Lucius continued. "I deeply apologize for what I have done. I don't expect you to forgive me that easily. I don't expect you to forgive me at all." Lucius faced you. "I'm sorry you had to witness your own father's death."

Lucius then turned to Megan and Vivian. "I'm sorry for taking the life of Edward Stark." He turned around to leave until the door opened, revealing Draco with Cameron. "Take care of your mother."

Draco was left speechless as his father left the house, presumably turning himself in. Cameron jumped off from Draco's arms and ran towards Vivian, hugging her while Narcissa approached her son, hugging him.

You and Draco stared at each other, both mouthing a sorry to each other.

You finally entered your home after taking care of something outside. You were greeted by Bucky who rushed down the stairs just to greet you. You crouched down and hugged Bucky. Bucky licked your cheeks in excitement. You giggled. "Did you really miss me that much, Buck?" Bucky responded with a happy bark. You chuckled and kissed the top of his head.

You made your way to the kitchen and saw your mother holding on to something with Megan. Tears are streaming down her face while Megan is standing there confused. You walked even closer to see what Vivian was holding.

A helmet that looked like it came from a suit with a modern and robotic style. The colors were red, silver, and gold, and small words were carved into the helmet saying: Mark LXXXV.

Vivian saw you and smiled sadly. She gave you the helmet. "Watch it. It's for you and your sister."

You didn't say anything and nodded. With the helmet in your grasp, you and Megan went to your room. You sat on your bed and placed the helmet down in front of you.

You saw a small button, and you curiously pressed it. A hologram came out from the helmet's eyes and you saw the hologram of your father inside your room. It felt like he was really there.

"There." Edward smiled and pulled a chair towards him. He sat there and stared at the helmet for a moment. "Wow. I don't know what to say. First of all, I completely forgot that I made this and I am so glad I found this in my storage room."

Edward chuckled a bit. "Well, at least now I can use it." He looked at you and Megan. "Hi, (Y/n), Megan. It's your old man. I... uhh recorded this before we went out for the Quidditch World Cup. You two were busy preparing, so I decided to record myself for fun or if anything happens in the future."

You and Megan continued to listen while Edward sighed. "Remember what I said about untimely death? Well, I was worried that if I died, then I won't be able to tell you both this anymore, so I recorded myself."

Edward cleared his throat. "The truth is, for so long, I'd forgotten what feelings even were."

You raised a brow and Megan tried to ignore the knot forming on her throat. "I've been stuck in one place, in a cave, you might say. A deep dark cave."

Edward looked down. "What do I remember about my father?" He took a deep breath and exhaled. "Well, he was cold, calculating, never told me he loved me, never even told me he liked me, so it's a bit hard for me to digest that he said the whole future is a riding-on-me thing, I don't get that!"

You frowned as your dad rubbed his temples. "You're talking about a man whose happiest day of his life was shipping me off to Hogwarts.

Edward looked up and stared at you and Megan for a moment. "But I found out that that's not true."

You saw him stand up from his chair and start to walk around your room. "Before he died, he left a video message for me, just like what I'm doing right now to the both of you. He told me that I was his greatest creation, and he said there's nothing he wouldn't do for me."

You smiled sadly as your dad smiled sadly. "But I still felt empty since both of my parents died. And then, I met your mother, married her, got two beautiful and wonderful daughters..."

Edward's smile turned bright, and he slowly grinned. "For the first time in a long time, I started to feel things again. I started to feel happy."

Edward frowned and crossed his arms. "But lately, I guess I've been feeling... distant from you two. Like you're pulling away from me or something. I miss playing board games every night, making triple-decker Eggo extravaganzas at sunrise, watching westerns together before we doze off."

You did miss it. All those stuff. But you were also glad that you spent your time with your dad on the World Cup before he died. "But I know you're getting older, growing, changing. And I guess... if I'm being really honest, that's what scares me."

Edward looked at your window and sighed. "I don't want things to change. So, I think maybe that's why I came here, to try to maybe... stop that change. To turn back the clock. To make things go back to how they were."

Your father shrugged and looked back at you, smiling. "But I know that's naive. It's just... not how life works. It's moving, always moving whether you like it or not. And yeah, sometimes it's painful. Sometimes it's sad, and sometimes it's surprising. Happy. So you know what?"

Edward stood in front of you and Megan, leaning forward to see your face. You and your sister were surprised that he knew precisely where to face as if you two were there when he was recording it.

"Keep on growing up, kids," Edward said. "Don't let me stop you. Make mistakes, learn from 'em, and when life hurts you, because it will, remember the hurt. The hurt is good. It means you're out of that cave."

You smiled as he smiled at you and Megan. "I know you two can handle pain. Pain can make you stronger and I know that because my girls are the toughest girls in the world."

Edward faced the helmet and chuckled. "But, please, if you don't mind, for the sake of your poor old dad, use protection if you two are going to have sex with your partners. I don't want to be a grandfather while you two are still at school."

You and Megan laughed and you didn't notice that tears were already streaming down your face. You wiped them off and sniffed. Edward looked at you and your sister one last time. "No amount of money ever bought a second of time, loves. I love you 3000." And after that, he pressed the same button on the helmet before fading away.

A sob escaped your lips, and you started crying. Megan leaned on your shoulder and held your hand while quietly sobbing. You took the helmet in your lap and hugged it tightly. "We love you too, dad..."

Yesterday might not be the best night I've ever had but being with you for just a few moments and taking a pic with you is enough to make me smile and feel alive.
