"Stark!"

You turned around to see who it was. Draco stopped right in front of you and looked at you in worry. "Are you alright?"

You slowly nodded. "Um, yeah..."

"I didn't get to ask you last night because you and your friends went straight to your Common Room so I was worried sick and.. and..."

You chuckled and put his hands down. "I'm fine, Malfoy." You smiled to reassure him.Β

"Did you know who almost attacked us last night?"

You sighed and looked down. "It's..." You shook your head. "It's a vile creature and we're lucky enough to be saved by Mr. Firenze. Thank you, as well, for trying to protect me last night."

Draco smiled and chuckled a bit. "Well, that was nothing. And I never get to say thank you for the gift you gave." He showed you that he is wearing the ring you gave him making you smile.

"I thought you wouldn't wear it since it was not from Pansy." You teased with a laugh.

Draco playfully rolled his eyes. "That girl? Well, she gave me a ring too but I prefer to wear yours."

You slightly nudged him and grinned. "Gee, Malfoy, thanks. Going soft of me now?"

Draco lightly scoffed. "In your dreams."

You glanced outside and spotted your friends. "I guess I have to go." Before you could walk away, Draco grabbed your wrist causing you to look at him. "Malfoy?"

"Be careful. Please." He pleaded, feeling a lump on his throat.

You blinked repeatedly in confusion before slowly nodding. Draco smiled and let your wrist go. You walked away and joined Ron, Hermione, and Harry.

"You alright there, Harry?" Ron asked Harry. Harry was in pain, hissing and repeatedly touching his scar.

"My scar... it keeps burning," Harry said, touching his scar and wincing.

"Did it happened before?" You asked him.

"Not like this."

"Perhaps you should see the nurse?" Hermione asked.

"I think it's a warning. It means danger is coming..." Harry stated. You frowned. 'Great. The scar can now detect warnings.'

You and your friends were on your way to visit Hagrid's house but before the four of you could come near him, Harry realized something.

"Of course!"

"What is it?" Hermione asked him.

"Don't you think it's a bit odd?" He asked as he approached Hagrid while you, Hermione, and Ron followed. "That what happened once more than anything is a dragon and a stranger turns out who just happens to have one? I mean, how many people wander around with dragon eggs in their pockets? Why didn't I see it before?"

Harry rushed to Hagrid at his house as you three followed him. Hagrid was playing with his flute as the four of you approached him. "Hagrid, who gave you the dragon egg? What did he look like?" Harry asked frantically.

"I don't know. I never saw his face. He kept his hood up." Hagrid answered.

"The stranger, though, you two must've talked?"

"Well, he wanted to know what sort of creatures I looked after. I said, 'I looked after Fluffy. After Fluffy, a dragon's gonna be no problem.'"

"And did he seem interested in Fluffy?"

"Well, of course, he was interested in Fluffy. How often do you come across a three-headed dog, even if you're in the trade? But I told him I said, 'The trick with any beast is to know how to calm him.' Take Fluffy, for example, just play him a bit of music and he falls straight asleep."

You and the others looked at each other, gasping. Hagrid paused. "I shouldn't have told you that..." Hagrid realized what he said.

You and your friends quickly ran away, ignoring Hagrid's calls. The four of you rushed to Professor McGonagall's office.

"We have to see Professor Dumbledore! Immediately!" Harry exclaimed as he panted.

"I'm afraid Professor Dumbledore is not here. He received an urgent owl from the Ministry of Magic and left immediately." Professor McGonagall said calmly, confused as to why Harry was looking for him.

"He's gone? Now? But this is important! This is about the Philosopher's Stone!"

McGonagall froze and widened her eyes in shock. "How did you know...?"

"Someone's going to try and steal it!" Harry interrupted her.

"I do not know how you four found out about the Stone but I assure you it is perfectly well-protected." She said. "Now would you go back to your dormitories? Quietly?"

The four of you groaned in frustration and left the room. Harry stopped once the four of you passed the office. Harry turned to you, Hermione, and Ron. "That was no stranger Hagrid met in the village. It was Snape. Which means he knows how to get past Fluffy."

"And with Dumbledore gone..." You sighed.

"Good afternoon."

You and Ron froze on your spots while Harry and Hermione turned around to see Professor Snape.

"Now, what would four young Gryffindors such as yourselves be doing inside on a day like this?" Snape asked.

Hermione tried to say an excuse but stuttered. "Uh... well... we... we were just..."

Snape looked at her. "Be careful... People might think you're..."

Snape looked at Harry who was glaring intensely at him. Snape furrowed his eyebrows at Harry and looked at him, confused. "...up to something..."

Snape left and you exhaled in relief. "That was close."

"Now what are we going to do?" Hermione asked.

"We're going to the trapdoor." Harry looked at the three of you. "Tonight."

The sun has set down and the moon was shining bright as ever. You made sure everyone's asleep before you and your friends move. The four of you went down the stairs from your dorms. "This is going to be crazy..." Ron whispered.

You shushed him until you saw a frog. "Trevor," Harry mumbled.

"Trevor, shh! Go! You shouldn't be here!" Ron exclaimed while whispering.

"Neither should you." Neville showed his face out from a chair and stood up. "You're sneaking out again, aren't you?"

"Now, Neville, listen, we were...." You tried to reason with him but he interrupted you off.

"No! I won't let you!" Neville exclaimed. "You'll get Gryffindor to trouble again! Uh, I-I'll fight you!"

"Neville I'm really, really, sorry about this." Hermione took her wand out and cast a spell on Neville. "Petrificus Totalus!"

Hermione used the Full Body-Bind Curse on Neville as the boy froze and fell down. Hermione hid her wand again and sighed.

Ron gulped. "You're a little scary sometimes, you know that. Brilliant, but scary."

"Let's go," Harry said as he glanced at Neville. "Sorry." He apologized to Neville.

"Sorry." Hermione apologized too, following Harry.

"I'm so sorry, Neville." You apologized too and followed the two.

"It's for your own good, you know." Ron sighed then followed the three of you out of the Common Room.

The four of you hid under the Cloak of Invisibility and traveled as you reached the third floor. The cloak was big enough to fit the four of you.

"Ouch! You stepped on my foot!" Hermione complained at Ron who immediately apologized.

After reaching the door, Hermione was in front so she opened the door by casting the same spell she used before. "Alohamora." The door was unlocked and you and your friends quickly went inside.

"Wait a minute." Harry paused as he stared at the beast. "He's..."

Then with a blow, you, Harry, Hermione, and Ron were out from the cloak. "Snoring..." Harry finished.

You found Fluffy asleep and a playing harp to maintain the beast from waking up.

"Snape's already been here," Harry whispered. "He puts a spell on the harp to prevent Fluffy from waking up."

"Ugh. It's got horrible breath." Ron complained as the four of you stepped closer to Fluffy. You and Harry noticed the trapdoor that was covered by Fluffy's paw.

"We have to move its paw," Harry told as he came closer to the paw.

"What?" Ron looked at Harry wide-eyed.

"Come on!" Harry hushed.

Once the four of you were ready to push Fluffy's paw, you waited for Harry's command. "Okay. Push."

The four of you started pushing the paw away, grunting since the paw was too heavy. Once it's moved, you stepped away from the paw and looked at Fluffy.

Harry opened the trapdoor and looked at what was below it. It was too dark. "I'll go first. Don't fall until I give you a sign. If something bad happens, get yourselves out."

"That's crazy, Harry." You argued.

"(Y/n), it's the only--" Harry paused in the middle of his sentence and furrowed his eyebrows. "Does it seem a bit quiet to you?"

"The harp," Hermione realized as she looked at it with Ron. "It stopped playing."

You looked at Ron's clothes as it was dripped by thick saliva coming from something from above. You quickly looked up and your eyes widened while your three friends were too busy observing the sticky substance on Ron's clothes.

"Ugh!" Ron exclaimed, touching the weird goo on his clothes. "Yuck! Ugh!"

You tapped Harry's shoulder. "Harry, look up." The three looked up and gasped as Fluffy growled.

"Jump!" Harry ordered. He jumped first and you followed him just as Fluffy tore the trapdoor open. Hermione and Ron followed behind and you all landed on weird thick vines. It was dark and damp.

"Woah." Ron breathed. "Lucky, this plant thing's here, really."

The plant started to move. "Woah!" Harry exclaimed as the plant started to wrap around him. Your eyes widened but before you could act, the plant started to wrap around you and your friends too.

"Stop moving, you three," Hermione said calmly. "This is Devil's Snare! You have to relax. If you don't, it'll only kill you faster!"

"Kill us faster?" Ron asked as he struggled. "Oh, now I can relax!" He exclaimed, still struggling.

Hermione rolled her eyes at Ron then relaxed and sank.

"Hermione!" The three of you yelled. You sighed and looked at the two boys. "Let's stop struggling and do what Hermione said."

"How do we relax in a situation like this?" Ron complained, still struggling.

You took a deep breath and let yourself sink in on the Devil's Snare.

"(Y/n)!" The two boys yelled in distress. You dropped to the floor and landed on your bum. Hermione helped you up.

"Are you alright?" Hermione asked, dusting you off.

You nodded as you looked up. "Yes, Mione." You both saw Harry was dropped on the floor and he winced in pain. "Harry!"

You and Hermione helped Harry up and looked up again. Ron was still panicking and struggling. "He's not relaxing, is he?" Hermione sighed in frustration.

"Apparently not," Harry replied.

"We have to do something." You told before looking at Hermione. "Hermione, remember when we went to the library and reading something about Herbology?"

"Umm..." Hermione closed her eyes and tried to think.

"Hel--!" Ron was cut off when the Devil's Snare shut him up.

"Devil's Snare, Devil's Snare... 'It's deadly fun, but will sulk in the sun!' That's it! Devil's Snare hates sunlight!" Hermione exclaimed.

You took out your wand immediately and pointed it directly at the Devil's Snare. "Lumos Solem!"

You conjured a type of sunlight from your wand towards the Devil's Snare. It screeches and hissed. Finally, Ron fell to the ground and groaned in pain.

"Ron, you okay?" Harry asked, helping Ron up.

Ron nodded. "Yeah." Ron sighed and smiled. "Lucky we didn't panic."

"Lucky Hermione and (Y/n) paid attention in Herbology." Harry chuckled. Hermione rolled her eyes with a smile. "Let's go."

The four of you entered a room and all looked up.

"Curious. I've never seen bugs nor birds like these." Hermione breathed as she looked up for some look-like insects.

"They're not bugs or birds," Harry whispered. "They're keys and I'll bet one of them fits that door."

You looked around the place and found a broom. "Would that help you catch the key?"

Harry turned around to see the same broom you found. Harry nodded and approached the broomstick while Hermione and you looked for the key. "I think I know where it is."

"Where?" Harry asked. You pointed at the key that seemed rusty and different, an old-fashioned one. "There. With the broken wing."

Harry nodded. "That's the key we needed for the door. Get on the door. I'll fly towards the key. Once I give it to you, go inside and close the door once I'm inside too." Harry instructed.

Ron and Hermione nodded while you watched Harry hopping onto the broomstick worriedly. Harry flew towards the key gaining the attention of the other keys. The three of you waited by the door and watched Harry trying to catch the key.

Once he caught it, he flew just above you and threw the key at Hermione. Before the key flew away, Hermione jumped and caught it with her hand. She ran towards the door and finally unlocked it.

You, Hermione, and Ron quickly ran inside and waited for Harry. Once Harry was inside, you and Ron closed the door and heard the keys slamming against the door.
