This time when my eyes opened, it was because someone hand their hands cupping my face. Voices swirled around me as I slowly regained consciousness.

"Why isn't she waking up?" his voice was the closest to me, and it was panicked. Even without opening my eyes I knew it was Bellamy.

"Just give her some space." That was Clarke, "Her body has gone through a lot these past few days...it'll just take a minute."

The warmth of the hands on my face vanished as I felt Bellamy shift beside me.

Slowly, I forced myself to open my eyes. As I did, the light from up above caused me to wince, pain returning to my head.

"Thank God." It was Jasper who now sat closest to me, his face relieved.

Bellamy was now standing at the back of the group, his arms crossed against his chest as he watched me with careful eyes.

I was about to call out to him when Clarke blocked my line of sight. "Let's get you up." she advised, motioning for Miller to pull me up off the floor.

I gave her a lopsided grin as Miller helped me to my feet. "You did it." I breathed, both relieved and surprised that we were all still alive.

Clarke gave me a small smile as she nodded. "I'm sorry I didn't get you guys sooner."

"We're all alive." I announced, "That's all that matters."

Raven's face fell slightly. "Not all of us."

I felt my heart drop as I scanned the room, looking for our missing link...Sinclair.

My voice was shaky as I spoke. "What-"

"He was trying to protect me from Emerson." Raven explained, trying to keep a steady voice.

I nodded, pulling her into a quick hug. "I'm sorry." I whispered, knowing how much he meant to her.

She pulled away, giving me a forced smile. "We should get moving." she announced. "ALIE doesn't stop for anyone."

We all gave small mutterings in agreement before beginning to make our way back to the hangar bay. As we exited the airlock, my eyes fell on the body of Emerson, his eyes, nose, mouth and ears stained with blood. I wasn't sure what Clarke had done to kill him, but it didn't look pretty.

I walked next to Raven, my arm wrapped around her waist to provide support. I could tell she was in rough shape.

I could feel Bellamy's eyes on me as we walked. Part of me wanted to turn and through myself into him, but the other part still told me to take it slow. My head and my heart were being pulled in two completely different directions.

β€”-

Night had fallen as the group of us stood in the courtyard. A cool mist had settled in the air, sending a shiver down my spine.

I stood with Raven and Jasper, awaiting the return of Bellamy.

Our last objective before we left to find Luna was to burn our dead. Sinclair's body had already been lifted onto the wooden surface we would use for the burning. Lincoln's, on the other hand, needed to be retrieved from the morgue where it had been left.

I carefully watched Octavia as we waited. Her face looked conflicted, a mixture of pain and anger.

Soon enough, Bellamy emerged from within the Ark, a wrapped body in his arms. I felt my heart sink as I watched Octavia's reaction. She tried to be strong, but it was evident just how much she was hurting.

Bellamy remained silent as he lightly placed Lincoln's body on the ground in front of his sister. She gave him a quick look before kneeling down, carefully moving the sheet away from his face.

I took a small step forward, noting how her face crumbled at the sight of Lincoln. It reminded me of the day Bellamy and I had brought Atom's body home to her.

Octavia's sobs soon engulfed the quiet night as she leaned over Lincoln's body. All of us watched with sad eyes as she pulled back, tears still in her eyes as she leaned forward and pressed a kiss to his forehead.

When she finally pushed herself to her feet, her eyes landed on me. One look from her and I was by her side.

She didn't say anything, just wrapped her arms around me, silently crying into my shirt.

I let out a sad sigh, pulling her close to me as my eyes met with Bellamy's. He looked absolutely heartbroken...knowing that you played a role in making your little sister feel so destroyed was a shoe in for that feeling.

Our ceremony for Lincoln and Sinclair was quick, but full of emotions. We had all stood in silence as Octavia spoke the commemorative words used by the Grounders. "Yu gonplei ste odon."

We had all echoed the words, watching as she lit the fire, sending the two bodies up in flames.

Lincoln and Sinclair's deaths still weighed heavy on my heart as we finished packing up the rest of the Rover, prepping for our departure.

"Hey," Bellamy spoke, drawing my attention toward Raven and Monty who were slowly making their way down the ramp toward us. "We're about to leave." he pointed out, his eyes scanning the pair. "Why aren't you ready?"

Raven winced slightly, leaning into Monty. "Because we're not going with you."

Clarke's face fell. "Ravenβ€”"

Raven wore a knowing smile. "I can barely walk and my leg's killing me." she explained, taking a step away from Monty. "But my brain's all kinds of awesome."

"She remembered that ALIE downloaded herself into the Ark's main frame." Monty elaborated. "If the code's still there, we might be able to find a back door."

I looked to Raven with an grin. "Amazing." I whispered, always mystified by her intelligence.

Raven shot me a quick smirk before speaking again. "I'm guessing once you connect ALIE 2 to Luna, we'll need to access ALIE 1 to take her down."

Bellamy gave a small nod of approval before looking toward the rest of the group. "Miller?"

Miller wore a small smile. "We'll keep them safe." he promised, motioning to Bryan and himself.

"And I'll keep them safe." Harper added from behind them.

I let out a small laugh, a feeling swelling in my chest. I hoped that this wasn't goodbye forever, but for some reason it felt like it might be.

"How about you?" Bellamy asked, turning toward Jasper. "It's going to be dangerous."

Lopsided grin on his face, Jasper nodded. "You know me. I'm in."

Bellamy's eyes flickered to me for a brief moment, and without words I communicated that of course I was coming. He gave me the slightest of nods, a look of relief on his face.

I pulled my eyes away from him, moving to pull my friends who we were leaving behind into tight hugs.

"You stay out of trouble out there." Miller ordered, a hint of teasing in his voice.

I rolled my eyes, letting out a small laugh as I pulled away from his embrace. "Of course."

"Let's get on the road!" Bellamy called, already making way for the driver's side of the Rover. I could tell in his voice that he was nervous for what was to come.

With one final glance at the rest of my friends, I pulled myself into the back of the vehicle, plopping down beside a smiling Jasper.

"Luna, here we come."
