The first thing I felt when I woke was excruciating pain shooting through my leg. The next thing I felt was a flood of emotions as the events of the past few days came rushing back into my head.

I shot up, my eyes roaming the room in a hurry as I let out quick, panicked breaths.

"Hey." a soft voice came from beside me. I turned quickly, coming face to face with Clarke who was sitting at my bedside. She was covered in cuts and bruises on her face, and a bandage was secured around her upper arm, but besides that she looked fine.

"Clarke," I breathed in relief, leaning in to wrap my arms around her, "I thought something happened to you. When I jumped you weren't there, I-"

Clarke gave me an apologetic smile as she nodded, "Anya- she knocked me out, and dragged me away. I'm so sorry, Avery. I wanted to wait but she made me leave."

I gave her a smile, "Clarke it's okay, we're both alive and we're home, don't be sorry."

After a moment of silence I spoke again, "You said Anya knocked you out, why did she bring you back here? Where did she go?"

The blonde let out a small sigh, "She's dead. Our guards shot her," she explained, before adding "And me."

I glanced at her bandage, "Are you going to be okay?"

She nodded, "I'll be fine. I'm more worried about you, my mom said your wound is pretty bad. Was it out guards who shot you?"

I shook my head as I looked down at the now slightly red bandage wrapped around my leg, "The Mount Weather guards shot me before I jumped. Walking on it for 2 days probably didn't help." I explained, letting out a small laugh.

Clarke cringed, "My mom will be able to fix it."

I gave her a smile as if to say "hopefully". I knew Abby was good but I also knew I had really jeopardize the fate of my leg.

"Have you seen anyone yet?" I asked hopefully.

She shook her head, "I haven't been out yet. I was about to go."

A smile spread onto my face as I threw back my covers, "I'm coming-"

"No," Abby Griffin said entering the room, "You're on bedrest until we get that bullet out of your leg."

I felt my shoulders slump as Clarke gave me a sad smile, "I'll tell everyone to come in see you, okay? I'll be right back."

I nodded, knowing this was my only option, "Okay, I'll be here I guess."

Clarke let out a laugh before standing and making her way towards the exit, "Right back." she promised.

Once her daughter was out of the room, Abby approached me, "That's quite the bullet wound you've got there, Avery."

I shrugged as I played with the blanket that was draped over my lower half, "I've had better accomplishments in my life."

Abby laughed as she sat down in the spot Clarke had been occupying, "You were always a funny kid." she commented.

I looked over at her with a curious smile, "You remember me?"

Pulling back the blanket to inspect my leg, Abby spoke again, "How could I forget. You and Finn were the first twins I had ever seen-clearly- keeping you a secret was one of the hardest things I had ever done."

I winced as she lightly pressed on my leg, "You risked your life keeping me a secret."

Abby shook her head, "I wasn't going to risk them doing something to you or your brother. I couldn't live with myself."

"Thank you." I whispered. Without Abby I most likely would have been dead before I was even alive.

Abby just smiled as she sat back, recovering me with the blanket, "I'll need to surgically remove the bullet, until then you're stuck in here, alright?"

I nodded as I watched her stand and clean her hands, "I'll be back in to check on you in a bit. Drink some water and try to eat something."

"Thank you, Abby." I said for the second time.

Once she was gone I settled back into the silence as I anxiously awaited the return of Clarke, and hopefully my brother and friends. I still didn't know if they were here, if they were alive.

My good leg shook with nerves as I waited. All I wanted to do was stand and rush outside in search of them. The waiting game was killing me.

What felt like hours later, I heard footsteps rushing towards the medical room. I felt myself perk up as the door slid open. I could practically hear my heart in my ears as I waited for who was about to come in to view, and when they did I could feel tears of joy flooding my eyes.

Bellamy Blake came rushing towards me. I barely had time to react before he had his arms wrapped around me, almost knocking the air from my lungs.

The tears ran down my cheeks as I tightly wrapped my arms back around him, shoving my head into his neck, "You're alive." I whispered.

He pulled back and looked over my face, "Where were you? We looked for you, God Avery I was so worried, I-"

"Geez, Bell." A flustered Octavia Blake panted as she entered the room, "I've never seen you run that fast in your life."

A smile spread onto my face as she approached me, shoving her brother aside before pulling me into a hug, "You scared the hell outta me, Avs. Thought I would never see you again."

"I thought the same about you guys." I answered as I looked between the two siblings. As I did so my heart suddenly dropped, "Wait, where's my brother?"

Octavia and Bellamy shared a look before Bellamy let out a sigh, "He's looking for you and Clarke."

I felt like I was going to throw up. "He's out there all alone?"

Bellamy shook his head, "Murphy's with him?"

I raised my hands to my face and shook my head, "Murphy? Is that supposed to make me feel better?"

Bellamy grabbed my hands and pulled them away from my face, "Please don't worry. He'll be back soon and if h's not, I'll go out and look for him-"

I cut him off, "No, I'm not losing both of you."

Bellamy looked at me with a look I couldn't quite decipher and we stayed like that for far too long, clearly making Octavia uncomfortable.

"Alright, well I'm gonna go talk to Clarke, I'll leave you two alone."

I felt a blush rise on my cheeks as I turned to my best friend, "No, Tavia you don't have to-"

She gave me a warm smile, "It's okay Avs. I'll be back in a bit."

I gave her a weak wave as she turned and exited the room, leaving Bellamy and I alone. Once she was gone I turned back to the older Blake sibling and smiled.

He gave me a grin before it dropped from his face, "I'm really happy you're back Avery"

I nodded, "Yeah, me too Bell."

He nodded, "I was so terrified that you were dead, that I didn't protect you."

I shook my head, "It's not your job to protect me Bellamy. You protected Octavia, that's all that matters."

It was his turn to disagree, "I'm always going to try to protect you."

My heart skipped a beat at his words, and I was afraid if I tried to speak the words wouldn't come out, but nonetheless I spoke, "I have Finn, you don't have to worry about me."

At the mention of my brother's name, Bellamy winced slightly, which caused me to sit up straighter.

"What's going on? What aren't you telling me about Finn?" I asked, panic rising.

Bellamy shook his head, "He's different, Avery."

I scrunched up my face, "What do you mean, h-how is he 'different'?"

Bellamy slowly rubbed his hands together, something I realized he did when he was nervous, "He's changed. He's hurt people."

I pulled back slightly, not believing what he was saying, "You're sure we're talking about the same Finn here? The one who would barely look at a gun?"

Bellamy sighed, "Losing you and Clarke, it changed him. It's like his soul is gone, he's empty. He did it because he wanted to find you. He thought that the guy knew where you were-"

I cut him off, shaking my head as I tried to gather my thoughts and wrap my head around what he was saying, "What did he do Bellamy?"

He looked up at me with sad eyes as he spoke, "He's killed people, Avery."

omg the reunion has happened! I wanted to make it really dramatic but at the same time there was a lot that needed to be said so. also uh oh, avery is finding out what her brother has been up to, and this is before he really lost it... not good.

but all that matters right now is that bellamy and avery are back together, and clearly they were pretty happy to see each other
